From Gerry- I just found your channel and I love what you're doing. I have not done too much with art yarn but now that I see how beautiful a weaving is I may just start in again. That would make a stunning shawl. Be blessed.

Hello! Fun to see art yarn woven up. I’m a new spinner and would love to make a wall hanging out of art yarn…. I have a 16” Kromski Presto loom, and the 16” Ashford heddles do work on it just fine. In my (limited) experience, a flopping heddle usually means I’ve not tightened up my warp enough.

Hi Kamala...welcome to the spinning & weaving world.... its a wonderful world to explore....😀😀
The warp on the loom is tight but the heddles are just slightly too short i must have bought some dud ones.... 😀The ones on my samplet loom are great I have the kromski heddles for the ashford with no problems...just the luck of the draw i guess....😀 Your wall hangings sound fun you should definitely give it a try...❤️have a blessed week❤️😊

@@faithfuleweknittingpodcast Hi Hazel, Thankyou so much for your lovely reply.
Thankyou so much for the Heart ♥
Sending Heart ❤️ back to you.
I think losing mojo and re-finding it can be hard sometimes. It often takes us in a different direction and doing something that we wouldn't have really thought of doing.
I only started Spinning in 2021 using Drop Spindles. Then I got the Nano 1.1 eWheel in the September and then I got the eWheel 6 for Christmas.
I'm so glad that you did get your Creative mojo back, I don't know how you find time to do all the things you do.
Thankyou for sharing your video podcasts, I love them all.

Hi Hazel!❤Thank you for the video! I want to buy a loom for art yarn, but haven’t done so yet. I was looking at the rigid heddle loom from ashford. Is yours 24”? Could I ask what is the difference between rigid heddle and knitters loom? I notice you don’t have to open any spacing but just put the yarn through? Thank you! I have so much sun here in Tucson, Arizona. I love rainy overcast days because we don’t get many of those in a years time! Best to you!

Hi, Tracy welcome to my channel it's lovely to have you here.... ❤️🙂
My heddle does have to move up & down to make a gap to thread the yarn through but the camera must not have shown that very well......it can be a bit of a struggle sometimes with the bulky yarns but it does go through ok.....🙂🙂I would recommend either I don't think there is much difference between the 2 really they both have a rigid heddle but the only difference is they are made to be able to weave ordinary knitting yarns into the fabric but I do that on my rigid heddle loom too... I bought my Kromski because it is foldable & at the time Ashford didn't do a foldable loom but now they do. I have a 24 inch & a 36-inch Kromski & a 10-inch Ashford they are all rigid heddles & the heddles are interchangeable between the Kromski & Ashford but the fit is slightly different by about 1 or 2mm ... I think the Kromski is an excellent loom & the accessories are readily available the 36inch can be a bit bulky to use depends on what you will want to weave but I love using art yarns on all of them... ❤️🙂
Do let me know if you want any more help choosing Im happy to help if I can... but definitely take the plunge it opens up a whole new world.... have a lovely week & enjoy the sunshine...lots of love from a cool autumnal Wales...❤️❤️🙂🙂🐓🐓🐓🐓🐑🐑🐑🍃🍃🍃🍃

@@faithfuleweknittingpodcast Thank you so much for your kind response! I can hardly wait to try my hand at weaving on my very own loom soon. I believe I would mostly like to make wall hangings and scarfs at this time. I am thinking a 24” may be a good choice since I can have the option to go as wide as 24” or smaller on the same loom. I have been looking at the Ashford Heddle Looms from the Woolery.

Hi Tracy...you're very welcome....🙂how exciting Im very excited for you....❤️🙂A 24 inch loom is a good choice & you can make an uncountable amount of things on it.... I made some fabric to make a dress on my 24" loom I made it from handspun Jacob sheep fleece it is lovely fabric I just need to get the courage to cut into it...😊😊. Ashford are great looms & spinning wheels you will have great fun....🙂🙂 Enjoy the rest of your week & happy crafting ...lots of love from an autumnal Wales...❤️❤️🍃🍃🐌🐌🐓🐓🐓🐓🐑🐑🐑🦋🦋🙂🙂
