  • This is very exciting! Tanco sent us a brand new 1400V bale wrapper to try out for a few weeks and I take it out for its first run! This thing is capable of wrapping over 100 bales an hour and you know what that means...we are going to gear up to try it out.
    I hope you enjoy it.

The thing that stands out about the wrapper is the simplicity, it’s just looks straightforward, Really great design,

I thought i was doing well twenty years ago doing one a minute 😀. Just seen you wrap the first bale, superb, it’s not fair, you have this wrapper and now i am retired . Why could they not think of those things thirty years ago.

Biggest Advantage I noticed with the wrapper: you can Work streamlined, meaning you can drive same direction as the baler went as you pick up the bales from the round side.

Tanco made a prototype self propelled wrapper one time !!! I could see it over the hedge of they’re factory in Bagnelstown Co Carlow, they used to make tractor loaders too back in the day

I pull a hs2000 behind my baler. Do 3000plus a year. And yes I bale steep ground with it aswel.
Not for the faint hearted and is a steep learning curve.

That's some difference from my old McHale wrapper back in the 90s with the big oil bank and 4 levers. It was heavy on one side and would soon test out the wet spots in a field. This lighter wrapper is brilliant and doesn't look as wide as the McHale version which seems to be 10 feet wide and not suitable on some narrow laneways going to certain old farms....

No difference between that and the HS 2000 I had twenty years ago, I pulled it behind the baler and you could put less net on the bale when it goes straight into the wrapper, it also went behind the tractor and one man operation with remote control at the stack, when I was contracting it was fantastic, because some people liked them baled and wrapped in the field, some baled their own and wanted them wrapped in the field and some led them to the stack and wrapped them there, I bought it in 2004 did thousands of bales with it, paid £14,000 for it brand new, stopped contracting in 2012 and sold it for £9000, it never gave a bit of bother, great machine.

Great bit of kit friend had one on demo a month or so ago. Coming from a mchale 911 high speed. Think if this could carry a bale as well before wrapping would be very quick. Interesting to see how an orbital would match up to it as you can carry one while wrapping one. Impressive machine all the same though. Great demonstration vid though 👍

we had the setup you are thinking of and its not the same as a combi baler please get one on demo before buying anything becuse a combi baler is the acutal salutation to all your problems in my opinon and never stop making the best vids on youtube

My neighbour ( who does my baling) runs 2 balers & one high speed McHale wrapper, which is similar to the Tanco.
He can bale a lot of grass in a day, certainly more than a combi or McHale Fusion.
The only thing is the poor sod on the wrapper gets slaughtered.
I’ll see the 2 balers returning home at say 10pm after a day out. Then at 2 or 3am you’ll hear the wrapper guy getting back.
