- In praise of the European Day of Early Music and celebrating the commencement of our joint education project ‘Roots’, VOCES8 presents 'Sing Joyfully', a celebration of the joy and beauty of voices in harmony. Watch the event on Facebook Live, streamed on Tuesday 19 March at 7pm from the beautiful chapel in Trinity College, Cambridge.
“Joy and woe are woven fine” in a programme including Byrd, Tallis, Victoria, Britten and Dove, with Monteverdi’s dramatic rendering of La Sestina at its centre-point. The programme includes a short presentation by students from our project ‘Roots’.
Roots partners Cambridge Early Music, VCM Foundation/VOCES8, Faculty of Music, University of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Music, Anglia Ruskin University and The Brook Street Band are very grateful for the kind support of the Helen Hamlyn Trust and HERA - Humanities in the European Research Area.

Here in Michigan USA. Glad to see the representation. Michigan contributing to the best choral group in the World. I'm doing my bit in Grand Rapids, MI. Well, not right now with all this covid nonsense. Hopefully, soon. Until then, great job, love to listen to you all.
Can only hope we see this kind of singing again. I am in my church's choir but will not be singing with them until 2021 at the earliest.

Many thanks for to share
First of all to Blake props for Fellow Detroit Dude REPRESENT 2nd so impressed you had the Bouree in this concert. Way, way back as a high school student in the ehh...rrr...cough cough 70s we did it in choir class. If I'm not mistaken Ward Swingle was also involved in the Switched On Bach Album but here you see how the effects are just as awesome done by voices. We never performed it in concert. So I'm glad you guys did it here.
Sam, so sad that you are leaving. Wishing you tremendous happiness and success in your next endeavour!
Bravissimo!
