HOT TAKE: I've been making my Chick-Fil-A crack replacement sandwich for months and here's what I recommend. No air fryer needed.
    Nutrition - 450 calories, 48g protein, 54g carbs, 11g fat per sandwich
    Ingredients:
    - 2 Tyson Chicken Air Fried Breast Filets (precooked in air frier, I make mine on a baking sheet) - 360 calories
    - Schmidt old time 647 sandwich roll - 80 calories
    - G Hughes Sauces (Honey Mustard) - 10 calories
    - Tomatoes, Onions, pickles, spinach - negligible
    - Fat-free Cheese if you want more protein 💪
Rem's recipe definitely has less fat and more protein so go for that if that's necessary. This is just an easy modified version. Thanks for the hard work man, keep it up! I'm gonna strap on the ole feed bag and try this out!

Add low cal cheese slice if you don't mind adding a few calories
Dry brine with salt for 30mins -1hr or Wet brine the chicken before hand to increase the juiciness & improve flavour
Toast the buns for improved texture before saucing

  • @tdaye6978
    @tdaye6978 3 года назад +2

I just made this. My calorie/protein breakdown was a little different: 53g protein/510 calories....which is STILL in-freakin-sane!!!!! Stuff like this not only tastes great, but gives me a LOT of wiggle room with my diet!
I admit, it's not QUITE as good as deep-frying chicken, but it's STILL MORE than good enough that it still feels like a straight up dirty-ass cheat meal. As far as diet foods go, this is EXCELLENT!! The sauce really brought it home, because fat-free ranch on its own is rather atrocious, but mixed with sriracha, it becomes downright tolerable and an excellent way to keep it from being a dry-ass sandwich without adding many calories at all.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you RJ!

This works for people who are easily filled up, satiated with only a single sandwich of that size. Some people are still very hungry after eating that sandwich. This is where veggies and fruits come in. Many of them are high volume (lots of water, air, and insoluble fiber), but low calorie per unit volume or weight. Other fillers are the protein fluff/ice cream made with protein powder, ice, and xanthan gum. Best of luck to you all who have higher stomach capacity!

175 is way too high for chicken breast, you want an internal temp of about 150. The trick is not cutting in to it to early or it can lose a lot of its moisture so let it sit for a few minutes and it will still be cooking inside before it gets there.
Also always toast your buns. Low fat Mayo spread on the crust will brown even better than butter and only add about 10 calories. Adding pickles to the bottom bun also would be negligible and add a ton of acidity and flavor.

@@dvp127 that’s why you pull it at 150-155. Chicken is technically free of harmful bacteria at 145-150, the FDA recommends 165 because it gives enough buffer room to have no error, but the pinkness will already be gone by around 140 and if you don’t release the internal heat it will keep cooking even though it’s no longer under a heat source. It’ll retain its natural juices and stay more tender.
