Hi everyone! sorry it's been a while since the previous video, but it's been a bit busy and stressful lately. Hope you enjoyed this one and I promise that the next one will come out quicker :)
No need to apologise at all mate. Life is busy and stressful for many of us right now so fully understand. I will await your next video patiently. Take care mate and don’t stress.
I appreciate hugely that you talk about the trash issue, demonstrate it between your beautiful shots and actually take care to collect it. It's not such a small feat, considering you have to haul it on your tiny boat tens of miles before being able to dispose of it. Please continue doing it and showing to the world - it might shift peoples mindsets into putting more emphasis on what kind of products and packaging they buy. Decided to become a Patreon because of this.
Hot chocolate, mint liquor, and whipped cream - that sounds like delicious drink! A nice fender as a reward for trash pick up service. Awesome skiing down that slope. Pretty awesome. Great video Juho. Thanks for sharing!
That was a beautiful line on a really nice peak, I 'd say the most aesthetic you've filmed so far. Long, steep, and the snow looked perfect, even the debris was soft. I don't think I could have pried myself from that rock for hours! More of this please!!
So glad you share theses vids with us. They are such a breath of fresh air! Pursuing ones passions doesn't always lead to success... here's wishing you the best of both.
never done any skiing myself but as a travel cyclist walking up the mountain you're gonna ski down (as opposed to lazy ass alpine skilifts or even worse: heli skiing) reminds me of "owning" the mountain (-pass) you Just went up. It is so much more sustainable and rewarding.
Great sailing adventure, some good back country skiing in amazing location. Love your work collecting plastic rubbish. Its amazing how much rubbish is found in remote locations. I stopped at 26 beaches in the Great Barrier Reef on a recent sail though Queensland Australia and found plastic on every one. Its a challenge to store the rubbish on a yacht. Keep up the good work
@Remzi Dalay. Agreed! There are actually some fantastic beaches in some areas up there, especially Lofoten area, but bikinis only get on the very cold tolerant people even mid summer. :-)
wish I could do this, what an amazing lifestyle, anyway you mentioned catching the drone in a previous video so a little trick i learnt with the air 2 is if you turn it upside down once you have it in your hand it shuts down automatically, saves the one handed controller problem, hope it helps
Very beautiful skiing. You‘re living a good life, I‘m happy to be able to follow. We just had the first snow here in Switzerland. You‘re videos make me very excited for the upcoming season.
Your videos are so inspirational! I’m binge watching. Aren’t you worried you will have a bad fall some day when skiing? Or an avalanche? You’re completely alone out there. Oh and when you catch your drone and put it upside down it will stop right away by itself. Looking forward to see more. Good winds. cruisingkabaal.
Great videos! I don't ski, but I'm very impressed with your dedication to the sport. Climbing all that way up just to slide back down! Seems like a lot of work for little reward, but then I guess you could say the same about sailing.
We carry trash out of rainforest canyons in Australia too, it's such an awful problem everywhere. Thank you for doing that, and for your gorgeous videos :)
Great ski line....so jealous! ....I’ll be up there next spring in my boat (or perhaps the next)...if all goes to plan. How you get such superb drone footage of yourself is beyond me. Keep ‘em coming
Nice videos...😊 I binge watched half of the series :)... A small tip for handling your drone-> after you catch it... flip it upside down while holding it... the motors will stop immediately 😎
Looking very much forward to your next vlog! ;-) Hope all is good beside the busy times you've mentioned and that the 2 of you are doing well, cheers from Switzerland
Well our sailing season is starting this weekend, so I will have less time to watch sailing channels. However yours will be a nice cool change in our nice warm summer. Awesome skiing 👍
The 1975 midsummer beach party was cancelled (Andenes, Andøy / Bleik) due to snowstorm Summer of 2024 has been fantastic up north (including Finland) with record temperatures over a long periode
Well said about the trash problem and on collecting it where possible. Down here in Australia we have plenty of pristine beaches and wilderness but you will still find garbage, particularly plastics, without any trouble. It's definitely a global issue that we all need to take responsibility for.
Nice line! I'm guessing from the shadows in the video, that it took you most of the day to hike to the top of that couloir. And maybe 5 minutes to ski down?
I could be wrong but it almost looked like she did not pour equal portions of the mint liquor. Thank you for your view on the environment. Really surprised about the trash problem, always held the Nordic countries as a standard in ecology and environment.
Beautiful scenery and videography, nice ski line (I am jealous 😉) and a new-to-me drink which I will have to try out. I had a thought - what kind of anchor and rode makes you confident of leaving Sylvia for hours and expect to find her sitting there when you return? 😊 Have you ever dragged?
Do you ever mess up and miss a turn on your ski run? The light contrast seems pretty high. Do you do much color and exposure correction? What a great location.
Hi from British Columbia Canada, what precautions do you take in the event you have a mishap while skiing by yourself and are not able to get back to the boat
I don't understand this fixation of making comparison with the "bikini" sailing. Who cares? I watch sailing in the north and in the tropics either. Marvelous drone shooting! I'm a bit worried for you , if anything happens do you have any way to get in touch with somebody that can help you? In 2018 I did skimountaneering by myself in Norway (Okstindan) for 3 days and I remember the tremedous tension and emotion.
Juho, for catching your drone, position it above you, hold your hand under it, then press and hold the descending command stick fully down. The drone will detect your hand and slowly descend into your grip. Keep holding the command stick 'down'. The motors will gently come to a stop, without any struggling. Forget the two stick emergency stop command - it's only for high-in-the-air emergencies, when a low flying fighter jet suddenly appears. Here's a demo. ruclips.net/video/ZNJQIKesguw/видео.html
Nice adventure life. But how in the world do you dare to ski that way alone? Imagine if you were to injure yourself, how would you manage to get out to the boat?
I'm confused? Why are we watching footage from 4 months ago? Also I'm amazed Fins celebrate May 1st (Communist Russia celebration day) Is Finland actually a socialist country despite being invaded by communists? (Well done for fending them off by the way)
May Day predates the Communist ties and did not originate in the Soviet Union. We just tend to visually associate it with that due to the well known public spectacle in Russia. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day

Modest man in epic scenery. Thanks for these beautiful films.

Amazing skiing and interesting drink, chocolate and mint go well together

Man, your aerial shots are plain crazy! You definitely have a professional grade skill:) I really enjoy it)
Wow, your filming skills are epic, and what you do is even more! Thank you, that was outstanding!

This is how to start a succesful yt channel. High production quality from the start, do something unique and make sure your english is good enough.
Stunning footage, I just don't know how you do it! ;-)
No sandy beaches, no bikini girls. Sailing and skiing, and fantastic scenery. Thanks
@Remzi Dalay. Agreed! There are actually some fantastic beaches in some areas up there, especially Lofoten area, but bikinis only get on the very cold tolerant people even mid summer. :-)
This is exactly why I love this channel 👏👍

Greetings from sunny and warm ... hot Greece. We use your videos to cool down during summer. BTW music is a big plus on your creations.
Very beautiful skiing. You‘re living a good life, I‘m happy to be able to follow. We just had the first snow here in Switzerland. You‘re videos make me very excited for the upcoming season.
fantastic videos and plastic garbage collection ... fantastic.
"no plastic in the ocean"

Convenient that you found that extra fender in your rubbish mission :)
yeah we've found plenty so far! A few big ball fenders as well. Don't have to pay for fenders here...
Spectacular scenery. Your drone shots are awesome.
Great videos! I don't ski, but I'm very impressed with your dedication to the sport. Climbing all that way up just to slide back down! Seems like a lot of work for little reward, but then I guess you could say the same about sailing.

Awesome video and story! I want to venture to some of these places as well. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, amazing footage as always, another great video
Always amazing, thank you.
Fantastic! Love your videos. It has always been a dream of mine to be able to sail to a mountain I want to ski.
Wow that final shot was stunning. Amazing light.
Such a wonderful pickmick!!!
Impressive big hike for that run. Nice!

Greetings from Cádiz, in the south of Spain, around here the temperature is somewhat warmer.
3:30 You have my deepest respect.
Well said about the trash problem and on collecting it where possible. Down here in Australia we have plenty of pristine beaches and wilderness but you will still find garbage, particularly plastics, without any trouble. It's definitely a global issue that we all need to take responsibility for.
Haha. The volume of dislikes (3) to the likes (1.2k) is hilarious. Three little grumps I guess... Awesome and inspiring video!
Its just so beautiful.!
Nice line! I'm guessing from the shadows in the video, that it took you most of the day to hike to the top of that couloir. And maybe 5 minutes to ski down?
Another great video. Cool guitar music. Thanks for cleaning up trash. Your effort is not insignificant.
Stunning
So nice of you that you took some trash with you! :)
Thank you.. keep them coming...
I could be wrong but it almost looked like she did not pour equal portions of the mint liquor. Thank you for your view on the environment. Really surprised about the trash problem, always held the Nordic countries as a standard in ecology and environment.
:D maybe i needed it more!
Beautiful scenery and videography, nice ski line (I am jealous 😉) and a new-to-me drink which I will have to try out.

Epic You are legends! :)

You are an Avatar! Of your amazing self!!!
Loving your videos ! How did you get the distant shots of you skiing that line? drone? so far away. love it !
Juho, was this a flashback video, or your latest? Only reason that I ask is that this video is from 1-May and today is 1-Oct.
Lucky man!
Saludos desde San Luis Argentina !!!
At 10:10 it looks like you are skiing uphill, because the shadow of the mountain almost looks like the sky
Stunning 😍👌🏿
Wonderfull video. Congratulation.
How long did it take you to climb that mountain?
Hi man. What a great life you are living 😎
beatiful run. not afraid of triggering an avalanche?
Is it ever warm by you ? Lol. Love your videos💜
DRON livehack .... grab the drone and turn it over on its back, the system will stop the propellers automatically
Hope things are good. Stressful is not nice.
Looks good though. Wierd it was so long ago.
Cute cups (Mumin trolls) ;-)
Hi from British Columbia Canada, what precautions do you take in the event you have a mishap while skiing by yourself and are not able to get back to the boat
How long did it take to hike to the top
Around 3 hours i think!
Good stuff👌🏻
👍👍 Greetings from Tasmania 🐧
How long did you ski up with the skins before you decided high enough? Looks like you would have climbed for hours to ski that line.
cool man
How have you been?
Time has passed this year. I hope you take care of the cold weather and health based on Korea. ^O^
Juho- I'm surprised you haven't invested in a windlass
I cant believe that up there you can still find that much trash :(
anyways nice video and I will try that drink!
aikas pirun upeita maisemia! ja täydellinen vapaus!
Ghostly!
What is the ratio climbing/skiing in hours?
I think it's about 1:LOL
I'll have that fender if you like. lol
Do you have a water maker aboard?
💟💟👍💟💟

Good boat fender, though...
What the music that u use in this video
Hi, the music is licensed from epidemicsound.com, unfortunately I don't have the track names anymore :(

Yes, better to sit on the sofa and watch tv.
I that finish hot any good
