    Could you have trimmed under that side ball because it doesn’t look like it goes all the way up from you moving it. Meaning just a round piece under so you didn’t have to cut all the way through. Another option is to 3d print an extension that’s round like the silver ring. I’m just trying to think of something that lets you keep the full ring on it

      @@TheParrottBros I just installed mine into my mk1 S3. I cut around the ball. Together with all the other body cuts I had to do. I managed to refit the majority of the interior trim. Not that I need it as it's a track car. But more just to see how much of it I could get in around the shifter

    Keep up with the videos lad! I’m on the fence about turning my mk2 TTs dsg into a track car or to buy a 225 mk1 and keep the mk2 as my daily, this is making me lean towards buying a mk1.

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  9 месяцев назад +1

      Its a tough decision, when modifying any car there is always the risk it will break, you take it too far that its no longer a daily etc etc, it all depends how much you are going to use it on track, what you want to spend etc as there is plenty of cheap TT mk1's out there but you are going to want to spend some decent money doing all the mods to make it perform well on track but if you do the work your self you can ofcourse reduce that cost slightly plus its all part of the fun

    • @jordanclark831
      @jordanclark831 9 месяцев назад

      @@TheParrottBros definitely, I’ve done a few bits to the TTs to make it a nice street car (plus I’d be to worried to send it on track in case it got damaged) but I fancy another project car I can take on track and also thrash about with mates and not worry about damaging it (I have a few bits from my old 180Q and WRX builds I can use). I’m leaning towards a 180fwd (punchy out of the corners) or a 225.

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@jordanclark831 Sounds like a good plan to me, the 180 fwd will be ok on small tracks but will lack the legs on the longer ones as without rods and turbo mods will struggle to make more than about 230, where as 225 all be it quattro will make 270-280

    • @jordanclark831
      @jordanclark831 9 месяцев назад

      @@TheParrottBros I didn’t think about the rods being a factor, glad you mentioned it I’ll keep that in mind. Either way hopefully be at a few meets in the S this year. Keep up the videos mate always a good watch.

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  9 месяцев назад +1

      Find the source of the leak, likely have a split breather pipe in your Pcv system in the engine bay. Its quite a common issue with these cars. There is a few videos on my channel looking into this in greater detail

    Hey Dom, great video. I'm about to fit mine to my mk1 S3. What is the cable for? I presume it's for the lift reverse function. But where does it go.

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, yes that's correct it goes from the ring below the shift knob round to the front where it pulls a guide pin forward allowing you to select across to reverse
