Thanks for the honest review Dave. I have more packs of Loops than I could ever count. Like you, I hate trying to deal with a reel most times. Loops are simple and very magical. I did buy this but haven't watched the video yet. Yes, probably nothing new but hope to pick up 1-2 new ideas. And--- I cannot count the amount of times I have gone to bed with Loops on my wrist-- they aren't there in the morning!!!

Great review . I agree with everything you said. I love loops. So a tip to carry them, tape 3 cards together side by side on the long ends with packing tape. Put your loops on a 3x5 index card ( cut notches on the end of the card with a hole punch ) lay the index card on two of the taped cards and fold the 3rd card over the middle card to hold the loops down ,then fold the last card over. This makes a packet to put in your wallet and holds the loops secure and safe. As for not being able to download the video , I "screen record" all the videos that can not be downloaded. They record in real time, but at least you have them off line. I tie my own loops, that way, if they break, no big deal... again , great video as always.

I'm one of the few people I know that has no beef with loops. They are good, if you know how to use them. For awhile, years actually, I always had one on me. I never ONCE got busted. It's presentation and imagination that makes them work.
I used to pick them up whenever I went to my magic shop in Daytona, I always had a drawer full.
Then I learned how to make them. LOL.
I stopped carrying them all the time when I discovered "Zoom". Zoom is a great effect with basically the same material.
I once got out of a traffic ticket performing Zoom with my drivers license on top of my car. I had every card type thing gaffed. Credit cards, license, playing cards etc.
But back to loops. I know people hold them in contempt. But I would challenge anyone to try and create their own miracles with them, not just what Yigal suggests. The possibilities really are endless and if you practice and use subtlety you can truly create miracles.

What is zoom?
Ok I bought them. Biggest problem I had with them in the past, was the way you had to take them with you. The inner circle card is a good solution for that, and has a place in my Orphic wallet, and is now part of my EDC. Right on the spot I can get a loop while talking, nobody noticed. My wife knows a lot about magic, but is still in shock hahaha... So loops are amazing :)

Thanks for the review. I’m totally new to loops and got this delivered last week, more for educational purposes than anything - as my knowledge level is pretty low.
Not sure I’ll incorporate any of the tricks, but I’ll remain open minded. Might be fun to try something.
Sounds ideal for me and my purposes, but not so much for those more experienced and knowledgeable!

Thanks for the honest review. It does seem that you could figure out most of these just by watching them. However, I have no idea how he levitates the spinning ring. But would it be worth buying this for one trick?

Is there a difference between buying Loops Legends, Loops New Generation, Loops Improved or even the original loops & if there isn't, which do you prefer people get/buy?
it's mostly the same - get the one that fits your budget

I can't even begin to use IT ... and I've never successfully used a loop either. It disappears seconds after I take it from the storage. Can't see it. Can't feel it .... and I don't get any further!

do you know what the exact weight limit is for using loops is, or do you suggest when using loops for heavier objects to use more than 1, if that's even possible?

I agree with you about preferring Loops. The problem I have is it getting caught on something if I wear it most of the day, when I go out. Btw, how many do they give you with this?
I thought I was the only one questioning the Emperor's new clothes. I kept reading the description but then listening to them hype it. Their enthusiasm was unmatched, but the content just did not seem to be there when looking at it objectively. Great review again.

yes that was the Guerilla Guide to Loops from Ellusionist and it came out in 2007
