  • We have been planning this trip for a while now, with lots of modifications made to our self converted camper van to make sure (fingers crossed) that it can handle the conditions way up north.
This adventure starts in March so we're not expecting super cold temperatures but it will certainly be below zero celsius a lot of the time.
Join us in this video as we travel from the UK up through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark and finally arrive in Norway.

Denmark is famous for Lego, Skovby furniture, Zenvo hyper cars, they also make most of the huge grey electricity windmills

That Southern part of Norway really is stuning! Driven that same journey a few times although direct to Hirtshals. My son lives in Stavanger and I love being there. Fly over now though, done with the furniture deliveries!!

Looks a great trip, we did similar in 2019….. watch out for the Oresund bridge, the one from Denmark to Sweden, fairly impressive but extremely expensive, can’t remember exactly but I think it was about £60 each way ! Cheaper to take the ferry.
Also watch out for toll roads that you don’t realise are toll roads, I was still getting bills 12 months later …. Great video’s by the way …. Enjoy 👍

Thank you for a super VLOG.
"Buy cheap, buy twice"....are there any other parts of your van build that you should be having concerns about?

What an excellent question... Not really, I hope. Our big light bars on the front were cheap amazon things (£80 instead of £700 for the real deal) but they seem to be holding up pretty well so far. The bottom one went all corroded so I dismantled it, sand blasted the aluminium housing, repainted it properly and put it back together. So far so good.
If I ever build a 'van version 2' I would make a few significant changes. It would have to be a 5 tonne van, left hand drive and probably 4 wheel drive. Currently favouring the Iveco Daily, but that's a long way off yet. Thanks for watching.

Check if the route Helsingborg-Helsingör with a combi ticket for Rödby-Puttgarden would be to your advantage rather than a single journey over the Öresund Bridge. Safe journey. Jim

Thanks, that’s great advice. We’ll check it out.
