- Mission T.H.I.N.K. is the newest and last-ever addition to the Super Solvers series created by The Learning Company. It was released in 1997, almost 4 years after the other ones, so is somewhat less-known. It is very similar to their earlier game, Gizmos and Gadgets, but with 1/3 the levels and a new checkers-like strategy game at the end of each one.
This music is played on the first of 5 levels. The level itself is an exact copy of a level from Gizmos and Gadgets.

Right I first hear this, the nostalgia instantly smacks me in the face and I get reminded of that crazy guy, Morty and that Super Solver guy kicking his butt.
After all these years, the music still slaps...
I'm just now realizing that having played Mission T.H.I.N.K. explains a lot about me. Like why I enjoy puzzles, board games, and jazzy music.
I remember back when we had this game I used to really get down to this music while others were playing the game. I made a lot my own cheesy moves.
Mission T.H.I.N.K. is the only game from that series that I don't have. I also still play those games from time to time. They really should re-release them for future generations to enjoy.
God, you know how people say "that riff is so thick you can practically sink your teeth into it?"
That's how I feel about the beginning of this song.
There's some catchy music in this game! Thanks for uploading
I only grew up with Gizmos and Gadgets, but this soundtrack is immensely better than its music and I really like this having not even grown up with it.
I was looking forever to find this! I always loved this music, and the game I thought the game was called "Problem Solvers" not "Super Solvers." But the nostalgia! I remember me and my brothers would spend hours by our 1996 Microsoft computer and play this figuring out the puzzles and the patterns! How I miss my childhood and this game! I'm not sure what happened to this game, but I sure miss it. This music has such a classic 90's beat to it, because this game was from the 90's, one of the best decades ever, followed by the early 00's. This was when computer games used to be good! I miss this and that Jumpstart game with Frankie the Weenie dog and The Cluefinders.
The Commenter I absolutely agree with you, friend. We had a lot of difficulty with the boards and we would always be taking turns trying to solve the puzzles and games. We've beaten the game many times. The ending was marvelous and very fitting for sure. The 90s and early 2000s had the best games, console or PC. Computer games are no longer as educational anymore or fun. The only good computer game today is Undertale. Also, I miss the old Minesweeper where if you win the smiley face would put on sunglasses, and Chip's Challenge and we always had I Spy games on our PC. PC games today don't top the classics. You are a amazing, honest and reasonable commentor. That's what your name should be :-)
That bass line goes so hard 🎸
When my family got a new computer back in 2000, it came with a collection of CD games. This was one of them
Oh man... I remember playing this game at the age of seven. I miss these days so much. This was one of the best educational games. :(
This is crazy how the OST from this game rivals a Gran Turismo one of any generation. Kudos to whoever paid the big bucks for this.
A lot of these old games get a lot of their character from the music. Operation Neptune is 'just another math game' without the catchy little screen-by-screen progression of the midi.
I remember this on my Apple Macintosh back in the good ole' days. Never beat it, might play again sometime :)
Haha this is just fantastic to find this on here, good to know I wasn't the only weird kid who played these games. Thanks for uploading!
Thats such a 90's jazz beat.
The 90's just called. They want me back lol
Oh my God the memories are rushing in!! I'm gonna try to play it right now- "This only works on 32 bit PCs"...
NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this brings me back alot of memories thanks for uploading this
Holy shit I forgot how groovin' this first level music was.
THE VERY BEST EDUCATIONAL GAME EVER
This and G&G was my early 2000's childhood right here.
This brings me way back , I'm in my 2nd Childhood
I kind of have an idea for a two player multiplayer version of this game, where it's basically the same as this, only both players go to through the labyrinth of different doors to solve the logic puzzles to gain more pieces for them to move their pieces, but there's three ways of playing it:
>Search Braking: where after every 10 moves of the board game, both players would have 4 or 5 minutes to go through doors and complete puzzles
>Time Out: where any player can go search for doors for more pieces at any time, but the game still goes on while the person is away, and every 2 minutes the turn will automatically move on to the opponent
>& Fast Brains: where after 10 moves of the board game, both players both play a logic puzzle simultaneously, and the person who finish it first gets 5 pieces and the loser gets 3
do you think that would be good?
One dislike must be Morty Maxwell
Me too. I played this in middle school. My mom played it too
this music freaking slaps
gizmos and gadgets and this were by far my favorite out of the whole series...
ah, the memories...
You can get this working on windows 10! The game doesn't like running off the disk unfortunately and you need to highlight everything on the disk, copy it to a folder on your computer, and set compatibility options for win98/ME, and 256 colors for the SSMWIN32.EXE you will find in the root directory. Enjoy!
Agreed.
Possibly updated a bit.
I'm holding the mission T.H.I.N.K CD in my hand right now...I also own a working windows XP...°__________°
*Nostalgia Intensifies*
@WJF388 Good catch. I'm not sure why I put 1999. My CD says 1997, so I'll fix it.
You know, I had this, Treasure Mathstorm! and several of the JumpStart grades, when I was.
Occasionally I reinstall it, remember when it was infuriatingly impossible, and beat nearly all the levels without effort.
Most of the time, I uninstall it without finishing it. In fact, I don't think I've ever really -beaten- it.
Maybe it's nostalgia. I uninstalled Streets of SimCity after playing it maybe three times...but that was more because it didn't have the music and crashed a lot.
Steam has got to crank out a Super Solvers Collection, you know?
no way was this released in 1999. I remember playing this on my very first computer in 1997.
@heartofmusic27 What you should have said is that you need to put the piece on a space where it's not overlapping any other pieces, and none of the part's pixels should be covering up any other part or else it won't go on the space. That's the part I had trouble with.
@RABBIDGamfan I know how to play them. What you do is you are given a structure made out of shapes and the object is to recreate the shape from different views using a certain amount of shapes provided. They give you the option to click on a camera icon to see the structure from views such as the top, and the sides and it would help you with building the structure. I hope this helps you.
@BackPocketChange I agree
omg LMAO this is actually on youtube, lol i have the disk still but computers too good to run it XD..love this song :3
One question: does anybody know how to play the Viewpoints puzzles? I could never figure out how to work those.
And yes, I know you can skip them. That's not what I'm looking for.
I have this game but my old computer wont be able to run these games anymore. I have a laptop but im afraid it isnt compatible :(
Mine got scratched and lost >_> Wish I could get an abandonware copy online or something..
Yeah, and Mission: T.H.I.N.K. would have been as dull as the metaphorical dishwater without the music.
Stage 5's music needs replacement; IMO Stage 4 had more a more climactic, "your task is almost complete" feeling to it.
Also, I'm kinda disappointed CallinWire didn't put up the music from the Car Build game. They might have been five-second loops, but damned if they weren't catchy!
Late nineties video game music. I don't think it has a name. If you want suggestions of similar music just msg me.
I could put them up. There are five, I think.
i wish i know what type of music is this called. dose anyone know?
brainstar64 Jazz fusion and composed by Yellowjackets
1999, not 1997.
It's 1997. Remember buying this software at Office Max that year with my new IBM Aptiva computer with Windows 95.
