Problem with using LNAV and VNAV indiscriminately , i.e, entire flight, is that you would probably be asked to change altitude per instructions from ATC, so knowing how to change from managed altitude to using VNAV/LNAV is as important (making it more realistic in that sense). Great instruction guide non the less.
i kept it simple for the public i can make a more adv one later
Hi, clear diction which always helps. I have followed you tutorial doing manual inputs and some of my settings read differently i.e. v2=124 so have set to 129. Perhaps because of changes since your video. I am really struggling to follow why VNAV and LNAV don't work. Any clues why VNAV/LNAV still won't work. I am going to try again shortly with a Simbrief flight plan just in case. Thanks

@@JetSimmer101 Okay. I was wondering why all the RNAV approaches tutorials in RUclips disconnect the autopilot well above MDA in good weather. I’ll start checking the PMDG Forums to see if there has been some discussion to this regard.
Because why wouldnt you. In standard sop let the aircraft do all the work so you have time to set up for landing

Nice video. I noticed that when you pressed toga, the VNAV and LNAV lights went off, and the FMA displayed LNAV and VNAV in white text. I assume this means they were both armed. So is it really necessary for the FO to press VNAV and LNAV during the takeoff roll as you mentioned in the video?

LOL, even though you got everything plugged in I am going to say it's probably because you had your FD's off. Airborne and having them off is fine. Predeparture and having them off, is one of those things that can complicate things.

@@JetSimmer101 oh ok, it only tracks head movements right? But when we have to look all the way left or right to the windows, I guess we won’t be looking at the screen, right? Or is there a workaround? :)
You set trackir up to imput bigger movements then normal so when I look at the wing I move my head about .5 degrees to the left or right so barley any head movement at all
You wouldn’t believe how hard this information is to find all over the web. Thank you for this. Can you say any other aircraft payware or default that vnav works for Sid’s I can’t get it working on the cj4

Bro you were very clear to explain, but my vnav still doesn't work. I also have the f / d on but only the lnav works. Could it be because I turn on the f / d on both sides? Or because I turn it on immediately after take-off ?. You tell me when I should turn them on. Thank you.
Fd should be turned on before engine start so you don't forget
Rule of thumb you should be able to aim lnav and vnav while at the gate if you can't you're fd might be off or you haven't executed fms yet
A third way into the flight the Lnav turns off and won’t turn back on.
I have followed multiple videos painstakingly, but my VNAV and LNAV buttons still refuse to illuminate. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. This has far more steps than other videos yet it still doesn't work for me.

Make sure you have you're assisting setting set for true to life and everything hard

2:04 when i click on FLT PLAN it brings me to a completely different page "ROUTE FILES" all i shows is "PMDG 737"
you will need to download simbrife downloader from the website and set it to msfs folder i can run you through it if u like just hit me up on discord

What seems to be the problem
Well my pmdg Boeing 737 does not follow the way points of my flight plan. It would follow it maybe a bit after take off but then it stops. If there is a waypoint that turns it deviates off course
Sounds like you haven't set it up
Follow the guide I'll be doing another one when the 800 comes out

Recently i have been unable to get the Autopilot to work. Vnav light is ON while i can't get the Lnav to work. The config is correct and all the info is in the box. F/D is ON. Any solution?

Could you recommend the 6700xt ? how are the fps that you are getting?
price to perfomance is great its around the 24th fastest gpu out there. i get 45 to 66 fps on max settings.

There could be a number of things. Could be the flight plan has a linking issue, might not have executed the plan on the fmc. Without more info or seeing how you do it I'm not sure. You're welcome to join discord and I can help out later today as I'm in Australia won't be till after 3pm AEST

@@agustinh4781 doesn't need cat iii it should v nav all the way down to visual then you have to take over. What's the airport?

no u can still use the auto pilot just wont be able to use vnav and lnav u will have to use the heading bug to set a heading and the VS to set the attitude while climbing or devending to Alt its just a little more hands on than the FMC
Dont retract flaps that early. Wait for acceleration altitude
Flaps are fine based on the arrow I fly 737 irl
Hence why I have been quite absent on yt these days

My lnav sometimes stops following the route and it just keeps flying in cirkels and then when I try using heading select, it doesn’t work. How do I fix this
Two things. Which aircraft and have you turned off flight assistance when flying paywear planes? Make sure it's set to true to life.
@@JetSimmer101 i fly in the hardest mode with no assistance and it still happens, it follows the route and eventually it stops and keeps making cirkels and the heading select stops working
