Ohh trust me these 7 days didn’t go without doubt but the fact is that I completed them and that’s a win for me! The small things count sooo much don’t give up!! 🥰
I'm a new lash tech as well and this was very helpful. I noticed I was wasting a lot of extra time on my first client when it came to the eye pads and placement of the extension strip. I do very well on the mannequin and I noticed my time is a lot quicker. My first client had curly lashes I almost felt hopeless. But I took my time and tried my best. It took me 4 hours to do a classic set on her and one eye looked so much better than the other. I almost beat myself up about it but I just made sure I did my homework even more.
Don’t even stress about it! As long as your picking up on the things you want to improve with each set, you’ll be in a totally different position very soon! It’s totally normal to feel that way and it happens to all of us so don’t feel discouraged at all! All apart of the process 💕💕
I had my first volume client yesterday and whew was it a stress 😭 , I only lashed the inner corners because its harder for me and it took me about 5 hours 😫 , shes coming back today and we are GOING to finish. I think yesterday I was more tense because it was my first time but I trust to have a finished set today 💪🏽
I got licensed to do lashes but I gave up because I just felt like I had no clue what I was doing. I recently decided to try again and I’m so lucky to have ran across your videos!! Thank you for all the tips ♥️
JAZZ n MOTION Yeaa that totally happens!! It’s great with live models because it literally forces you to get through it and every single one I’ve had like that I learned something or improved in some way!!
3 hrs is not long. I spent like 6 hrs on doing my first volume today. They looked horendous! And i didnt even lash every lash 😩 i wish i can do a fullset is 3 hrs.
you prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
Personally the skeleton base helps a lot ! I know it’s not for everyone but i do recommend it. It’s helped me lash map, make consistent looking fans, and save on time. When clients are in a rush, it’s easier for me to fill in gaps rather than having one eye half lashed or worse one eye not completely done!
It took me 8-9 hours to a do a classic set yesterday 🥲 and I started off lashing every single lash in the inner and middle sections and then on the end sections of both eyes I did maybe 70-75% of the lashes because my sister was getting really fussy and was uncomfortable so I needed to finish. Thank you for this video I was getting a little discouraged with my speed.
Literally what happened with me! Took me 12 hrs to do a classic set my sister was so fussy and uncomfortable I was so stressed. We got this tho keep going !
I love that you did this video! This is exactly how i feel.. practice makes permanent! I take pride in my work as well and love that you mentioned that it is a luxury service and If i take a bit longer, it’s only because i want the best for my clients ❤️
Thank you so much for this video it was so informative I am a brand new lash artist ! I feel like you dropped 10 extremely helpful gold nuggets I will definitely be applying to my technique !
Ty so much for your video. I did my first classic set on a client that had long lashes yesterday and had a fill eye and it took me 7 hours. I was beat at the end. I wanted to give up at a point but I know it will get better and thank you really because I am going to use these tips
Congratulations on your first classic set! That’s amazing! And I’m so happy you have such a positive attitude! It WILL get better just have to keep pushing!! 💕💕
OMG your first comment about Time 😱 it's like I was meant to watch this. I had the most difficult client yesterday, she had an awful previous application that took hours for me to remove and then by half of the service she was uncomfortable and moved every time I was about to apply a lash so I was like losing every single one of them. They turned out bad. And the she told me her previous application took half an hour. I was so discouraged. Watching your video gave me a sparkle of joy ❤️
i just started learning lashes 3 weeks ago and now my boss/teacher wants me to be ready to take clients that i know im not ready for. and she wants me to only take an hour for a full set. its kinda frustrating and discouraging cause when i just did my first model and it took me an hour just to get one eye halfway done and then she made me move over so she could do it herself.
Same here .. I started learning 4 weeks a ago now . And my boss wanted me to start next week for only half an hour and then I need to finish it.. I don't know what will I do .. Im shaking when my boss is watching me . And I cannot do isolating so well and that tooks me so long.
I agree. It’s a bit alarming when I hear SUCH a low time frame. I understand people can do them in an hour with a lot of experience but 20-30 minutes something sounds a little off there. I’d do some research before hand just to be sure.
I’m fairly new to lashing and thought 2 hours for a classic set was long and read some comments and now I don’t feel so bad when I have fidgety clients! It took me 3 and a half for a hybrid but wasn’t my best Bc she was in a rush to get home so I felt rushed bc it was late in the day and took her after work at 6pm
It’s 1:23am and I took nearly 4 hours to do a classic set on my sister and I didn’t even finish and now I’m disappointed that it took so long and now I’m searching for video to help me but this has helped me a lot so I’m still gonna try 😭💞 tyyyy
I've tried so many methods and I think this one is the best, especially when it comes to speed! There isn't many of us out there that do it this way girl lol
Hello I'm a new lash tech and I found it easy for me to make my fans ahead of my model's appt time, is that another good strategy or should I fan as I go? Thank you love I've been watching your videos everyday since my training lol my trainer wasn't much help $750 for nothing
Very helpful tips! I am new to lashing and learned the skeleton method.. so excited to test out your tip.. I do feel like it takes too much time the skeleton method.. thank you soooo much!
mimontenegro37 try it out! Lashing is so personal and you have to try a bunch of techniques to see what fits you! I’m so glad I could help! 🥰 let me know if you ever have questions!
i did my first hybrid / volume set on my sister i started at 9 pm it is now 3:53 am lol i did not finish but literally i could feel myself progressing throughout the set. lash classes teach you how to apply and some tricks but MAJORITY is literally finding your flow and trial and errors none the less dont give up guy im finishing in the morning!!!! peace and love
Absolutely love this comment!! Thank you so much for the support! I’m so happy to hear you say that! It’s so true and it gets better the more you do it! As long as you see your progress your moving in the right direction!! 💕 keep going love!!
I really wanna try a glue ring but I freshen up my glue every 15-20mins. Do you throw your glue ring away when freshening up glue or is the glue that you use one that would last your one client say 1hr and a half application?
Once I put a drop in there, that 1 drop will last me about 45-1hour. I add a new drop once I get to that point. I've never had issues wit the freshness of it once I do 1 drop and add.
you are so amazing, what great advice. When I first started I had someone give me such a hard time for taking 2 hrs for a classic set. Now like what you said it takes time . Also whats your feedback on starting the inners first , I was talking with another lash artist and she was saying that it could all stick together ..
It’s true! People are always in a rush but this isn’t something that can be rushed or it’ll be a terrible service! I think it can totally work! I tend to start at different spots on different clients. I usually start from the hardest to easiest. If I know the inners look like they could give me trouble, I start there. I don’t have the issue of them sticking together. I work back and forth on eyes to give the extensions some drying time.
I think what takes up a lot of my time is using promade boxes, when I pull them out and try to straighten them out on a sticky pad. I feel like that takes up so much time. Hopefully that makes sense 😅 any tips with that? Thank you for being so informative!
Ohhh I think I know what you mean! It could be the angle and how high your pulling them. Try grabbing them lower so they stay in tact! I hope that helps!! ❤️❤️
Hi, i just started and I feel really insecure about myself.. I take allot of time 3/4 hours and i feel like the lashes often stick togheter i don’t know what to do sometimes..
how in the world do i avoid stickies !!! i literally wait so long for the lash to dry but it still sticks to the other lashes! i switch between eyes and do an inner and an outer lash on each eye at a time if that makes sense
I’m using 1-2, and my humidity is usually in the 50s All I can think of is that I’m using too much glue but like I dip and tap off the excess on the pad before applying so I don’t think I am but not sure
This is the worst! Try using and air blower during your set, you cand quickly dry one lash as your applying and that way you can move on to the next one without worrying. Also, I had this problem when I worked 1 eye at a time but when I alternate between both eyes 1 lash at a time it gives that last one enough time to cure before I come back and apply the next one beside it. Hope this helps!!
I’m new to lashing and I’m ready to throw in the towel!!! The volume picking up, isolation and my eyes are what causes me pause. I’m going to give it 3 months. If I’m not feeling it I’m out!!!
If totally takes practice! Your going to get it, just need to be patient with yourself and practice as much as you can! You’ll start to see it gets much better! dont give up! 💕
I got my certificate a week ago still haven’t done one set all cuss the starter kit my trainer gave me was no good. I tried doing one set and I gave up all cuss the glue & I wanted to speed 😭😭😭
@@moodydearest I recently got another adhesive worked better but when I’m attaching the lash extension to the natural lash it won’t stick or it stays for a bit then moves around or falls basically won’t stick as it should
Girl.... thank you so much. So many helpful pointers. I have a question though about covid concerns with putting the strips on our hands.. should we wear gloves with that or something... how many lengths do you use and can fit on your hands. Do you use pinching or shimmy method? Do you use magnifying glasses or anything?
DeeDee Kiv I’m so happy I could help!! Yes absolutely. So for the strip. I don’t use glove personally because I find it difficult to work with my tweezers and get the same control I have normally. But I sanitize my hands and every thoroughly before I put the strip on my hand and the strip never comes in contact with the client anyways so it’s always on me and I just pull off the lashes. The most I’ve done is put 3 strips on there but that’s only if I’m doing a texture/staggered set. Most of the time I have 1 on there and finish and move on to the next one. I use the shimmy method! I have a magnifying head piece but I don’t use it too often to be honest and only for inner corners if I do use it. I rely heavily on great lighting! Hope this helped ❤️ let me know if you have any other questions 🥰
I loved my glue rings but I was having so many respiratory issues and switching back to having my glue to the side completely got rid of my sneezing coughing and headaches I did have a question though With your clients that take you longer how do you schedule them? I definitely have more difficult clients but I can't take away from others just for them if that makes sense
I don’t see how you would keep those clients. People make appointments bc we have other obligations l. You can’t send people out the door looking crazy. lol
Omgsh I know!! I would start to freak out when someone would ask what time it was! Lol don’t let it get to you (I know it’s easier said than done) but do your best to let your client know that this is a luxury service and it does take a good amount of time! They need to understand, don’t let that bring you down your on the road to being a great lash artist 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
omg i see all this girls saying they take 7 to 9 hours doing sets and i’m over here tripping because i did a hybrid or light volume set yesterday and i lashes avery single lash and only took me 2 hours and like 35 minutes 😭😭😭😭 omg i hope i get a little better in the future like at least 2 hours exactly
I literally had someone who expecting me to be finished within 10 minutes. I was about to just hand her a pair of strip lashes because wtf. I’m just gonna hand her a pair of tweezers and a mannequin head and see if she could lash fast than me 😒
Lmao I love this 😂😂 I think it’s so funny that people really expect that but at the same we do live in a world where EVERYTHING is sooo on demand! But we definitely need to bring our clients expectations down in terms of time and let them know what’s up! 10 minutes Is soo funny 😂😂💕💕
Our Flowrish Infinite bond is ideal to practice with, it’s on the cheaper side so it won’t break the bank when you’re wasting it and it has the perfect dry time to help increase your speed
If I continue to practice on a mannequin will it help me increase my lashing speed on an actual client ? It takes me about 5-6 hours to do a set on an actual person 😭😭
So it depends on the set, generally I do focus on one length and go from there. But if its a set thats wispy or requires more texture then I'll alternate between like 2 or 3 if I have too. I do like to do one and move on though, just my preference! 💕
Do you do any videos where you tell how much you actually make as a lash artist working from home? There are hardly any lash artists who show or reveal what they really make in a week or month. I've only found a couple. Please help 🥰
Thank you I know so many of my girlfriends and myself would appreciate it because we are taking a risk like you of leaving your full time job to do lashes full time. Your videos are MORE helpful and practical than the expensive class that a lot of us paid for to get certified Thank you!!!
On the first time of my lash practice, it took forever.. i actually have my hand shaking. Lol.. and yeah, now that i am more like a year of doing this, i still took 2hrs and half doing my clients lashes . 🤣
Those are the words I was looking for… Luxury Sercive.. I get these questions: can you do it in like half an hour an hour 🤦🏾♀️?? This is a luxury service, it’s going to take some time.
Hello, I’m a beginner lash tech. Can you make a video about blurred vision? I’ve been searching RUclips and haven’t found too many. Do you recommend wearing magnifying glasses? I start practicing on my manikin and after 20 minutes my vision gets distorted or blurry Gives me anxiety and then my vision gets worse
New follower 🙂 I really loved your tips !thank you !💕 I'm having trouble with the little tiny tiny hairs getting in the way when i isolate! Like They keep slipping in if I make sense because they are so thin and really tiny . And they end up sticking I bought Like 5 different tweezer to see if that helps but I'm still having a hard time 😩 and I take like 4 hours for a classic set and I want to cry I don't end up lashing all the lashes
Thanks so much love!! 💕 honestly, it just takes practice. Isolation is one of the HARDEST things so don’t feel discouraged it gets better with time. But it’s totally normal to see those tiny hairs! It’s actually so good your even aware of them a lot of people just by pass them. It’s great that you see them, keep practicing and you’ll get passed them!
I find it helpful to put extensions on those tiny hairs in the beginning, it makes it easier to move them out of the way and isolate the easier, longer lashes. I use 8-9 on them typically since the natural tiny lashes seem to be about half that length (in my experience, which I am still very new, so idk if that's just my luck or if that's average). You can also use tape to lift the longer ones out of the way and onto the eyelid to help find the littler ones easier too. (isolating in layers)
My sister kept talking while I was doing her lashes and of my friends too! Had to tell them to shut up 🤣🤣🤣 because their face keep moving I was dying 🤣😩🤣 but I finish in like 2 hours and 20 minutes to half hour
What tape did you use , I’m struggling on finding a good d tape to tape the bottom lashes . Btw this is man’s account 😂 I’m a lash tech as well . I’m trying to work on my speed too ..
I am so discouraged right now doing lashes that I want to quit!!! OMG. This has encouraged me.
Ohh trust me these 7 days didn’t go without doubt but the fact is that I completed them and that’s a win for me! The small things count sooo much don’t give up!! 🥰
Jajajja the same to me girl 😭😭😭☹️ I make a set of lashes in 3 to 4 hours ☹️poor of my clients
Keep going girl get the bag lol
I started with the mannequin head today, I almost threw her across the room, I know I won’t happen over night, but today I just couldn’t.
Same here girl. I am just starting and my clients are not coming back 😭
Thank you needed to hear all of this ❤❤
wow I just started and I take about 3 to 4 hours and I was ashamed of it, this along with some of the comments makes me feel a lot better!

Very good tips

Very informative, can I like use any recliner for lashing?
I totally agree with you and I love your information
Thank you so much for the support! 💕

Did you do a tour of your tray video?
Do you have a sample policies that are effective?
You are super informative and I love all the tips and tricks you offer on your channel! I just started following you but I’m here to stay! ❤

When you place the strip on your hand, do you have issues with using that same strip in the future if lashes are left? Like will is restick? Help 🤔

All I can think of is that I’m using too much glue but like I dip and tap off the excess on the pad before applying so I don’t think I am but not sure

So how do you put the lashes on your hand
It's usually sticky at the back to stick to the tray, so it easily sticks to my hand but once it wears off, I take tape ad stick it!

I got my certificate a week ago still haven’t done one set all cuss the starter kit my trainer gave me was no good. I tried doing one set and I gave up all cuss the glue & I wanted to speed 😭😭😭
Have you shopped around? I use Paris Lash Academy and they offer lash now, pay later. Their products are pretty good.
@@moodydearest I recently got another adhesive worked better but when I’m attaching the lash extension to the natural lash it won’t stick or it stays for a bit then moves around or falls basically won’t stick as it should
Wait so tape you use just straight tape no pade or is it like the microfoam tape
I love the tape! I stopped using pads a while ago!
@@arielrenee Ohhh ok ok ima try this method thank youuuu !
new and just now being consistent lash artist here! this was so helpful 😭
Girl.... thank you so much.
My sets take literal days. Somethings gotta give smh. Thank you for this because GIRL!!!
I know it sucks at that stage!! But don’t worry it’s ganna get so much better! Try some of these and let me know if they help!!
Thank you so muchhh!! You really helped me a lot🥺😍
You’re awesome! 😩😩
Thank you so much! 🥺💕
Omgg I love you !!
I loved my glue rings but I was having so many respiratory issues and switching back to having my glue to the side completely got rid of my sneezing coughing and headaches I did have a question though
With your clients that take you longer how do you schedule them? I definitely have more difficult clients but I can't take away from others just for them if that makes sense
I don’t see how you would keep those clients. People make appointments bc we have other obligations l. You can’t send people out the door looking crazy. lol
Did my first on my friend yesterday she has a lot of lashes took me 9 hours and still didn’t get to finish 🥺
Congratulations on your first set!!! Don’t be discouraged! My first set took me forever too! It gets better! 💕
Girl I did my first set yesterday in my client and it took me 7 hours! I wanted to give up but it’s okay! Well hey there! You got this
I took around the same On my first girl 🥲 she had short and straight down lashes and kept texting 😒 but now I’m down to 4 hrs
Don’t be discouraged it took me two days when I first started they would have to come back the next day to finish the second eye
So gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this video. I am taking my classic and volume class tomorrow 🤗🤗💫💫
I am super excited about the learning experience.
That’s AMAZING!!! I hope it went well! 💕 feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all!! ❤️❤️
Everyone always complain about the time and it really stresses me out lmao I feel like I’m not doing my best
@@arielrenee I agree lol I thought she was kidding, she really didn’t know they took long 😭
LOVE THE PERSONALITY 😂😂😂❤️ New subscriber!!
what do you glue your lash lines on then on your hand? to be able to keep using them next time?
I’m so sorry I don’t completely understand, can you clarify the question?
@@arielrenee i think they meant that when you stick that strip of lashes on your hand, can you use it again or does the stickiness disapear?
Can you recommend a good glue to practice with ?
Our Flowrish Infinite bond is ideal to practice with, it’s on the cheaper side so it won’t break the bank when you’re wasting it and it has the perfect dry time to help increase your speed
If I continue to practice on a mannequin will it help me increase my lashing speed on an actual client ?
It takes me about 5-6 hours to do a set on an actual person 😭😭
Girl I thought I was the only one 😭 do you think possibly using Pre made fans or fans you make a day before would actually help with speed?
I took 4 hours in my first classic and felt horrible thinking I was taking to long
So do u have like 2-3 strips or do u focus on one specific size and move on to the next? (For classics) x
So it depends on the set, generally I do focus on one length and go from there. But if its a set thats wispy or requires more texture then I'll alternate between like 2 or 3 if I have too. I do like to do one and move on though, just my preference! 💕
First time I did lashes it took me 5-6 hours 😕
Do you do any videos where you tell how much you actually make as a lash artist working from home? There are hardly any lash artists who show or reveal what they really make in a week or month. I've only found a couple. Please help 🥰
I honestly haven’t done any, but I could do one soon! I’ll definitely put it on my list for bee videos :)
That's amazing!! 2.5 hours is soo good!! It's crazy what practice can do! :)
THANK YOOOOU
🥰🥰 so happy to help
Those are the words I was looking for… Luxury Sercive.. I get these questions: can you do it in like half an hour an hour 🤦🏾♀️?? This is a luxury service, it’s going to take some time.
Omgsh yes!! I hate when people ask the time questions like that! It makes me nervous knowing they’re uneasy with the time!
Hello, I’m a beginner lash tech. Can you make a video about blurred vision? I’ve been searching RUclips and haven’t found too many. Do you recommend wearing magnifying glasses? I start practicing on my manikin and after 20 minutes my vision gets distorted or blurry
Gives me anxiety and then my vision gets worse
I wear magnifying glasses
New follower 🙂 I really loved your tips !thank you !💕 I'm having trouble with the little tiny tiny hairs getting in the way when i isolate! Like They keep slipping in if I make sense because they are so thin and really tiny . And they end up sticking
I bought Like 5 different tweezer to see if that helps but I'm still having a hard time 😩 and I take like 4 hours for a classic set and I want to cry I don't end up lashing all the lashes
@@skylardaniel2195 no I mean tiny hairs as in like 1 -2 millimeters Long I have clients with those tiny hairs in between the lashes 😣
I know exactly which little hairs you mean, the brand new lashes that kinda bend towards the one lash youre trying to isolate!
My sister kept talking while I was doing her lashes and of my friends too! Had to tell them to shut up 🤣🤣🤣 because their face keep moving I was dying 🤣😩🤣 but I finish in like 2 hours and 20 minutes to half hour
I took 2 hours on a classic set on a mannequin it’ll prolly take me 3 or 4 on a live model ☺️
I started practicing on my family to pick up speed.
I don't know why
What tape did you use , I’m struggling on finding a good d tape to tape the bottom lashes . Btw this is man’s account 😂 I’m a lash tech as well . I’m trying to work on my speed too ..
Okay but I take 5 hours :( I do think it has to do with the glue :c
Ohh yea it’s definitely about finding the right recipe to get you going!
You are very beautiful 🥰
I want to brush your left lashes 😅 very informative video though thank you 🙏🏻
Lol bad lash day!! Thanks for the support!!
I m getting so many difficulties to make a fans now i just want to quit
You came to me soooo….. you have to set there 😂😂 love you
