Amazing how I was laughing my ass off through the entire episode with how insane the heists and backstabbing were, along with the various cameos…. But we get here, I’m a fucking mess. Such a great moment between Holt & Jake. Gonna miss the hell out of this show.
Making the finale a heist episode was brilliant. Everybody had one last chance to shine. I was really happy to see Gina as well, it wouldn't have been right without her.
I love the parallel character developments between Jake and Cpt. holt so much, In the beginning where jake was hype comedic self and Holt is straight forward and serious But now in the ending, Jake has now become a matured adult and holt learned his comedic humor. what a wonderful story from the beginning to the end
This sums up the finale very brilliantly.. jake finally learn to grow up, holt finally be able to make a joke intentionally. "Title of your sex movie" . This conversation is pure gold
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was the first show I'd ever binge watched. I started around the end of Season 4, and immediately fell in love with it. Its light hearted and very silly, but lovingly so. My family wasn't a huge fan of it, and I can see why it might not be for everyone but Brooklyn Nine-Nine was there for me whenever I needed it. I remember having a season 6 marathon with my friends, I remember watching every new episode come out at 8pm. It was the only time I ever used satellite TV. Like anyone, I have had some pretty tough spots in the years through high school and whenever I was feeling worthless, or alone or just shitty in any way Brooklyn Nine-Nine made me smile no matter what. I've probably watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine about 30 times now, no lie. I know this sounds stupid but it's so important to me, and I will continue to watch it over and over again for the rest of time. I have posters and mugs and other Brooklyn Nine-Nine Merchandise everywhere. I guess what I'm trying to say is Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a genuine, huge part of my life. I'm sure it is for many people. Thank you, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Joel McKinnon Miller, Dirk Blocker, Craig Robinson, Bill, Marc Evan Jackson, Dan Goor, Michael Schur, Jason Mantzoukas and most of all Andy Samberg(and many others, pretty much anyone involved in the show). Pretty sure I unconsciously base part of my personality off Jake Peralta lmao.
Thank you for sharing this. I wish most people felt the same way toward things as you do to B99. My friends are rarely interested in the same things as me. Even if we share something that we both love, they rarely enjoy indulging in it with me.
Wait. Hold up, what you just said IS EXACTLY how i felt. Every word. Maybe not highh school but during college. Also, friends tell me i somewhat have the same personality as jake 😂. Love your comment
I almost never cry watching stuff, but I slightly teared up here. The writing’s genius, goes to show how full-circle both these characters came and how much they changed each other
Not going to lie, I wasn't an Andy Samberg fan at first. My first exposure to him was to his voice roles in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania, and he came off as a whiny, annoying, douche. But then I saw B99 was coming out and I was curious if nothing else how they would do this show, and I made a 180 on my views on him because he truly is hilarious on this show. I started looking at his other work with Lonely Island and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and I was blown away at how funny he was. This show has truly shown that Andy Samberg is not only a great comedian, but a great actor too. Thank you Brooklyn Nine-Nine for 8 years of laughs and heartwarming moments, truly one of the best shows ever created.
My first exposure to him was the weird comedy he did "That's My Boy" or whatever with Adam Sandler. That was a weird movie to watch as a teenager I stg. Didn't really like to watch anything else he did til I found out about this show
since I had low expectations, I think these 2 episodes were really well done. the so many throwbacks, comedy, twists, drama, just like jake said, it happened. I think this is probably the best ending, considering they only took 10 episodes to do it. even if the ending was anti-climactic with hitchcock winning, I understood the message they were trying to convey. the parallels and throwbacks are the best. at the end , when I saw charles next to that random guy after 1 year, I screamed "charles became the jake to that guy!" Also this is top 3 heist for sure. Poor hitchcock lol. the convo between jake and holt, amy and rosa and the hug hithcock gave scully, made me tear up.
I love this moment between Holt and Jake so much❤ I don't know if it's how warm Andre's smile is naturally or the earnestness in the moment of Andy, but it's an amazing scene and always makes me smile. Nine nine! 🥂
I'm late in the game and I just binged the entirety of B99!! I'm in love. And this scene not only did Jake have a touching moment, but it's seems Andy did too. That face flush you can't fake. Maybe it was realizing this was the last scene and I know the emotions were running high but it seems that the emotion was entirely real.
This kind of reminded me of fresh prince’s ending. Uncle Phil/holt telling will/jake he’s proud of him and basically calling him his son, and then the light things at the end as well
im heartbroken 💔 with sadness but happiness too cuz they all got what they wanted. i keep having to remind myself they were just characters but they were more than that to me. I love you Nine-Nine xxx
Headcanon: Jake got close to the best dad he knows: Terry. Joined his gym. Couple years later he ended up looking like a human tank! RIP Velvet Thunder.
I love that is some universe we can't see that Jake and Holt are still friends outside of work and I like to think Holt and Kevin are being the coolest third grandparents to Mac. Brooklyn 99 is my comfort show when the world is burning, RIP Andre.
Holt saying he would be very proud of jake if he was his son means everything to jake as his own father bailed on him. This series was so good and it didn't overstay and ended on just the right note. RIP Andre.
You just know they had a draft of the script where Jake says ''Thank you, dad'' after the father figure thing, but then they realized it would ruin the moment.
Rest in Power, Andre! You work was absolutely perfection! ❤
If you are watching this in the future, we were here. We will not forget this show.
me too
We will not
Omggggg 🥲
Sorry I never got into this show🥺
99!!!!
Love you Captain Holt ❤️😔🙏🏾 Rest In Paradise
😭😭😭😭
*im not crying, you’re crying*
I’ve never cried more than I did watching the last episode
We all are dude
Amazing how I was laughing my ass off through the entire episode with how insane the heists and backstabbing were, along with the various cameos…. But we get here, I’m a fucking mess. Such a great moment between Holt & Jake. Gonna miss the hell out of this show.
Making the finale a heist episode was brilliant. Everybody had one last chance to shine. I was really happy to see Gina as well, it wouldn't have been right without her.
This scene really was so emotional 😭😭😭 and I love how you can even see it in his face that the emotions were real 🥺
I love that it ended with them all saying how they're gonna continue heisting and remain friends and the very last words were "NINE NINE"
I love the parallel character developments between Jake and Cpt. holt so much,
In the beginning where jake was hype comedic self and Holt is straight forward and serious
But now in the ending, Jake has now become a matured adult and holt learned his comedic humor.
what a wonderful story from the beginning to the end
This hits harder now, may you rest in peace Mr. Braugher we’ll all miss you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Blimey, this is a historical moment.
Of course we'll think back on this on 20 years when the reunion inevitably happens.
Reunion with 9 episodes. So we can have season 9, episode 9. X(
This comment is heartbreaking now 😞
@@wallcrawler98 Fucking tell me about it
nooooo 😭
@@gatsbymaguire, I heard this in Terry's voice
started sobbing as soon as Holt said "If I had had a son"
This sums up the finale very brilliantly.. jake finally learn to grow up, holt finally be able to make a joke intentionally. "Title of your sex movie" . This conversation is pure gold
Best father and son relationship in filming history!
Uncle Phil and Will was pretty great too.

@@ct-xj9lu I'm in second semesrer college now. We vibin, but I also watch just as much Community now. It's great. #6seasonsandamovie
Andy Samberg’s tears felt real in this scene. And if it wasn’t, that’s some amazing subtle acting
He’s gone, but he’s one hell of a captain, we love you Andre, RIP
My aunt found this show when the pilot was released on hulu and that got me to be a fan ever since. I'm going to miss this show.
R.I.P Captain Holt! you always are going to be in our hearts
Tears were shed.... this scene was perfect.
I almost never cry watching stuff, but I slightly teared up here. The writing’s genius, goes to show how full-circle both these characters came and how much they changed each other
RIP Andre Braugher 💔
This really hits hard now. Rest in peace Captain Holt 😢🙏🏻
This scene hits way harder now and I don't like it, but can't stop watching it. Rest in Peace you amazing man!

As someone who didn't watch SNL I just thought he was just the jizz in my pants guys turned me off the show for years big mistake
My first exposure to him was the weird comedy he did "That's My Boy" or whatever with Adam Sandler. That was a weird movie to watch as a teenager I stg. Didn't really like to watch anything else he did til I found out about this show
Hes also really good in Hot Rod!
I first saw him in SNL and didn't like him there. Didn't think he was funny. But in B99 he is hilarious!!! He won me over.
But I want you to know.
If I had, had a father.
And he had turned out like you.
I would be very proud of him.
RIP Captain Raymond Holt ❤

Yeah the original ending with Jake and Amy getting married was more well put together but this was still a really nice ending
Rest in Power, Captain Holt 🥺
Coming back to watch this after hearing the sad news of andre braugher passing away. He was my favourite character of the series
I love the smiles at the end they were very genuine
“It was perfect”. Much like this scene
I love this moment between Holt and Jake so much❤ I don't know if it's how warm Andre's smile is naturally or the earnestness in the moment of Andy, but it's an amazing scene and always makes me smile. Nine nine! 🥂
I firmly beleive that smile was just a bit of character breaking.
This was one the great shows ever, it is way more than comedy
Damn. Andre Braugher (or however you spell it) is such an incredible actor. He brings it in these emotional momenets.
I love how this show never strayed away from the main focus which was the relationship between Holt and Jake, comes full circle
i actually cried while whatching this scene, and at 0:48 took me a good tear, what a show...
This was the 1st clip I had to watch after finishing it.
Likewise.
RIP Captain Holt😢
Always thought there was true emotion and not acting in this scene. RIP Andre
Here after the news. Best police captain on TV. may you rest in peace
this is gonna be my favorite show forever
Watched this since season 1, I hope a lot of people in the future love it as I do, this scene made me cry a lot
So much emotion in this one scene and it hits harder now rest in peace that you for the laughs over the years
Y'know, I always knew this was how the show would end. Of course Holt would be proud of Jake. And yet...
I loved this show, it's so sad it's finally ending.

RIP Velvet Thunder.
"Sorry, it's just...You said you're proud of me, that's my tear trigger"
One of the best shows I've seen. Nine-nine! 😭
I love the callback to the first episode, and that Holt uses one of the running gags of the series.
They better never ever take this show off Netflix, I comes back every couple of months and binges it. RIP Captain Holt ❤️
Rest in peace Andre. You couldn't ask for a more perfect farewell.
Super underrated show very glad NBC picked it up and gave it the send-off it deserved
Its not underrated though, people loves it
I love that is some universe we can't see that Jake and Holt are still friends outside of work and I like to think Holt and Kevin are being the coolest third grandparents to Mac.
Brooklyn 99 is my comfort show when the world is burning, RIP Andre.
Damn 99. Now, I'm crying
Rip Andre Baughter (Captain Holt) you will be sorely missed Andre 🙏 🕊️ 😔
Man this hits even harder now.
R. I. P Captain 🫡
Rest in peace Captain, you will be sorely missed.
He's now watching over us from heaven's 99..

They could NOT have casted these two any better
Bu çok duygusal bir sahne kaldıramıyorum

RIP Andre Braugher, you were the best in that role
Goddamn 😢. It’s sad to see this show end but I loved every minute of it
RIP O’ Captain My Captain…

The small voice cracks throughout this conversation was pinacle actor
Holt saying he would be very proud of jake if he was his son means everything to jake as his own father bailed on him. This series was so good and it didn't overstay and ended on just the right note. RIP Andre.
I come here whenever I need to cry

Rest in Paradise Captain Holt 🥹❤️

You just know they had a draft of the script where Jake says ''Thank you, dad'' after the father figure thing, but then they realized it would ruin the moment.
You can't make me cry while laughing. That's against the rules! Gosh I'm such a mess right now.
NINE-NINE 🥺
NINE NINE
Will miss you Captain💔
Best show in history.
Anyone else come here after hearing the news? RIP Andre
Considering everything Holt did for Jake that makes him Jake’s real Dad in my opinion.
It was perfect.
This scene hits so hard now
Season 1: Not an adult.
Season 8: I think you figured it out.
I'm not crying.
Got some sand in my eye.
Holts joke was 99.99% accurate; it's "Title of your Sex TAPE" ;)
Well, since it was the finale, it feels like we finished a grand movie. So honestly, movie feels like a perfect conclusion.
Scene got me crying 💔
That final smile
This scene hit me where I live.
I just saw this on Netflix and watched it fully. I fucking cried
I hope Andre Braugher is proud of his role! He was funny and a great character
