  • My bandsaw is coming along nicely. In this episode, I install both wheels and make the top blade guide.

    What happened with your rail at 13:53? The saw escaped the rail and got grip of the rail itself? Haven't seen that one yet.

    • @LgosseuxDbois-TheWoodpecker
      @LgosseuxDbois-TheWoodpecker  7 лет назад +1

      Yes the saw grip the rail while I was cutting the rafter's tennons while building the shop.
      If one day I ever make a review about this saw I will talk about this... It's then that I realized that this model really need a vucuum attached to it. the problem was that I didn't had any dust collection hooked up to the saw and the wet sawdust from the green hemlock stayed inside the saw enclosure and jam the mecanism which push the base when the saw if lifted. So since the blade was sticking out and I removed it from the guide I caught it and it was thrown 6 feet away. Lucky nobody got hurt. This almost happend again while I was ripping a lot of pine boards for a friend, so it's then that I decided to bought a bigger hose and since then I didn't had any problem.

    nice!!! how do you like using the canadian tire maximum brand tools?

    • @LgosseuxDbois-TheWoodpecker
      @LgosseuxDbois-TheWoodpecker  7 лет назад +1

      To my big surprise they work great, at least the drills, the rest I haven't played with them enough to have an honest opinion. I worked on my deck for the past month, and Renée told me it would only be a weekend thing.. But this to say that I used the Maximum drill and I can say I like it more than my other "brand name" drill. So I'm going to let it out of the box.

      I really like it, It's way better than my metal one. The only thing I can say is that switching a wide blade require to remove the table top. Which in fact is maybe not such a big deal, this way it's easier to adjust the lower guide blocks and lower back bearing
