Do I need any authorization letter from her?. She is on H4 visa.

Just today i completed my dropbox document submission in Mumbai VAC. My appointment which i booked was for Chennai VAC in afternoon 1.30 pm. I just went to Mumbai VAC in morning 9 a.m and said to security "dropbox" . He checked my appointment letter and gave a slip written "DB" on it. All was over in 10-15 min. Just a precaution: take photos of 2 x 2 size ( not passport size ) . I had to pay 500rs in the centre for that.
@@bhavanimallavalli4337 they take around 1 week to process. All dropbox documents go to chennai. Update : I was initially refused in dropbox and was handed 221g slip. Just today i had to go for interview at Chennai. They atlast approved my vis, took the passport.

Yes I am also wondering the same. I would like to know if the only extra document needed is the old passport which has the expired US visa in it, or there are additional documents which also need to be included.
@@ArunNarasimhan_arun1997107 They only asked for DS 160 submission confirmation, appointment confirmation, Signed I-20, passports that contain other/older visas, SEVIS Fee Payment confirmation, passport, and the visa photo. Good luck!

I apologise. But this is confusing still. I understood from the video that I can deposit the documents at any of the 11 sites. For example I said in my ds160 form that Delhi is my pick up center. But when I was scheduling my interview the only OFC available was Chennai. Based on your response my drop off center is in Chennai, but pick up will be in Delhi? Correct?

This will be first time for us for B2 visa and sending someone to drop but not sure what I should instruct him? Do they allow mobile phones? Do they have Queues ? Is that just one counter where we give the docs and that’s it? Or more steps? Rs 650 fees was for premium delivery service so now I see we have to pay for Dropbox too? So there will be 2 fees? So the visa on my passport is still an F1, even though I am approved for my H1B stamping. When filling out the visa application, I was approved for a Dropbox appointment. However, reading online has convinced me that people are only eligible for Dropbox if it's a case of H1B renewal. Can you clarify if people like me are eligible for Dropbox?
That is the general case. But, Dept of State has this exception since covid. If you had any US Visa approved in past, you are eligible for dropbox. Check redbus2us.com/visas/usa/renewal/h1b-dropbox/

Separate question not related to the above video. I’ve a Dropbox appointment scheduled with a particular petition number but I had a change of employer and the number changed. I can create a new DS160 but I don’t see an option to update it in the visa appointment. I remember having to enter these details while booking the visa appointment. 1. How can I get the petition number and petitioner details updated? 2. My wife’s h4 appointment is also tied with this. Is there a way to update h4 appointment too with the new petition number?
@@kaustubhathalye2469 Hi there's no need to update it in the Visa appointment. When you go in for the dropbox, just tell the representative there that you've a new DS160 number that needs to be used and they'll update it automatically. No need to update in the visa portal

Should be pretty much same. They have not said anything, maybe a day or two at max.

Technically there is no OFC interview as such. You just go there and submit documents.

Yeah, that’s the idea.

Usually less than 6 months. If it is over 6 months, that is a placeholder appointment and eventually be cancelled.

Hello, Me and my wife are on our own seperate H1B visas.
My wife is not dependent on my H1B visa. She has her own H1B visa.
We both need H1B stamping and both qualify for interview waiver.
When I try to book a drop box appointment for myself, Can I add my wife on the same application even though she is not my dependent ? that way we can both have a single appointment for drop box ?

Separate question not related to the above video. I’ve a Dropbox appointment scheduled with a particular petition number but I had a change of employer and the number changed. I can create a new DS160 but I don’t see an option to update it in the visa appointment. I remember having to enter these details while booking the visa appointment.
1. How can I get the petition number and petitioner details updated?
2. My wife’s h4 appointment is also tied with this. Is there a way to update h4 appointment too with the new petition number?

@@kaustubhathalye2469 Hi there's no need to update it in the Visa appointment. When you go in for the dropbox, just tell the representative there that you've a new DS160 number that needs to be used and they'll update it automatically. No need to update in the visa portal
