I can’t wait for the draw boxes. I hate the bottom box with the wheels, I keep all my hand tools I don’t use much. It’s such a pain to take the 3 boxes off the top to get tools out of the bottom. I will buy probably 2 of the 2 draw and 1 3 draw boxes when available.
WHEN IS THE LAWNMOWER COMING?!?!? As the Dewalt rep said when I asked the Milly rep, "We have 2", then the Makita rep said "But we have 6", so we all laughed. So seriously when are we getting a red lawnmower?!?!?!?!
i've been a tstak man for a long time, I think i own about 40 boxes, just bought a full set up of tha pack out kit and i'm loving the possibilities. Soooo unhappy with dewalts 2.0 limitations and tasks crappy clips. Nice vid!
Does the 2-drawer tool box actually fits a Sawzall in it? I've looked up the measurements and seems like it shouldn't fit, but the promo pics shows a Sawzall being taken out of one of these drawers...
I still wanna see them come out with a bottom mount so you can attach anything you want to it. Especially hard-cased milwaukee power tools. But I suppose the new work top can easily be modified to make that happen. Edit: I'd also like to see a half width mounting plate.
The idea is good, execution whiffed. They had the opportunity to lock this thing with the Strattec BOLT system, a cylinder that could be embedded into this product, and allow instant matching to your truck ignition key. HIGHLY pick resistant, weatherproof and flush. Instead, a clasp and holes for padlocks. UGH
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any help you can give me.
@Jeffrey Aryan Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
You have no idea how little time we had to get these done. That, and our videos are written, shot, edited and produced by humans. We're prone to make minor mistakes. :)
@@ToolShow That's not a professional response. This is Milwaukee Tools. With a blaring 'minor mistake' like that, I'm sure the marketing team 'appreciates your effort'.
Love the Packout system, how about a Coffee maker, a rapid charger (plug in, solar, or battery), of a pancake air compressor of some type. Cheers everyone!
They need to drop these prices there killing me . The light I can see it’s value . But the rest come on . I think these have a very high profit margin after all it’s plastic
I believe it is 50 lbs per drawer, per the Pipeline presentation by Matt Vargo, the Group Product Manager. I did hear the Host say 50lbs, but I'll take the word of the guy working on the product over a host.
Directly from their press release: "The PACKOUT 3-Drawer Tool Box has a 50lb weight capacity and a locking security bar allows users the ability to padlock the drawers keeping them securely shut during transport." There's obviously room for their press release to be poorly worded, but as it's listed here, it's 50lbs for the entire box. I'll reach out to Milwaukee for clarification.
@@ToolShow , I already sent them an email for clarification. However, these are the industry standard roller bearings with a 50 lb rating. Either way, 50 lbs is a lot of tools, and 100/150 is a heck of a lot and I'm not sure I want to be lugging that around, along with the other tools I have on the stack.
Thinking out loud... Packout and tough system are made for commercial construction. In my opinion the residential field doesn't need to make their tools availability inconvenient for portability convenience. I'm sure Vince over there at VCG would disagree but he didn't think of this 1st 🤦🏻♂️
@@MyFortressConstruction happily... All I need is say my multi-tool, it's all the way in the bottom case in the back of my van/truck. Now I have to take everything apart to get to it. It's totally a mixed bag of inconvenience and convenience.
@@justgregnow Gotcha, yeah, you need to be able to access everything. I have Ridgid and only one wheeled box and everything gets set on it. My trailer floor stays free so I can load materials and supplies. It's cheap, utilitarian and provides accessibility and portability.
@@MyFortressConstruction one box makes sense, packout will have so many boxes that they'll be stacked up 7ft lol. I use these open top husky snap and lock bins with a handle. Simple cheep and most importantly all my tools are easy access. Sounds like you have a great system bro 👍
Plenty of great innovations with the system however the prices are getting ridiculous. right now the standard 3 box packout is around $300. If they slashed the prices no store would be able to keep them instock.
50 pound weight limit for the wall E-trac shelves is far too weak. Sitting static even, how long will they hold up while driving over all the bumps and dips on the roads. Milwaukee is going to have to produce some real world durability videos to prove how well they work.
Did I just see a brand new product (in late 2020!) that’s still only usb-a? Should’ve been usb-c with PD. Dummies. Industry direction has been pointing towards that for many years already.
The packout drawers is nice but i dont like how the padlock entry is only plastic and not reinforce with metal anybody can cut it and just pull the padlock of easy
@@ToolShow Um, locking box and using a chain thru the lock and around something. They cut the lock and left it and chain. Why wreck a perfectly good Packout?
Wow, a sliding packout shelf! Breaking news! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Reminds me of the hype Apple tries to create with each of their product releases using words like “revolutionary” or “magic”. Marketing BS. It’s insane how many people feel the need to point out a word is spelled incorrectly. Like you go make a video if you just wanna complain. Drawers look neat! At that price though you might as well go Festool
Yup we're aware. We can't make changes like that after the video is live. These Milwaukee PIPELINE videos are produced under rediculous time restraints, and occasionally an error makes it past us all.
The locking system is worthless with that cheap plastic loop on the top, you could take a knife and cut right through if you wanted. I would pay extra for real steel locking loops.
Hahahahahahaha... Only an arm and a leg folks! Step right up! Dismemberment for a pretty red box! Who's next? In all seriousness, these are excellent tool boxes, but the prices... They got us and they know it. I'll be sticking to my: 3 for $98 Ridgid box bundle. Just make some drawer boxes Ridgid. Please.
Compared to plastic storage containers sold in stores pak out well worth the money. Built to stand up to abuse parts inside stay in their own compartments even if container falls out of truck locking together & unlocking easily. Hinges & latches built to last hold up ro abuse & extreme weather changes. Own several no complaints hold up even after being accidentally dropped down stairs on to concrete floor.

That new Packout light box mounted on my workshop wall with one of those new vertical mounts = a sweet detailing light solution!! 🤯
Or wire a light for 1/10 the price
Milwaukee is killing it with the their packout line up!
I'm legitimately reserving $1000 at the start of the year to buy packout stuff. I'm so ready for packout drawers
Do they come in boxers and briefs?

A pack out just for your home shop? You must have a big shop!

I think that's the use case for the work top. I intend to mount a miter saw to it.
they have that dolly with the mounting plate so you can add whatever you want from the ground up
Finally! Pull kit drawer units. Now I can sell off my Tanos/Festool/Sortimo boxes.

The stills misspelled “available”. An Easter egg for me. Appreciate your videos and information!
They definitely didn’t show the pack out light in the announcement today, but I’m glad you did!!! I’ll add that to my shopping list
Can't find specs on that Packout light and charger. I'm guessing that the charger is a standard charger: not rapid or supercharger. Boo.
Pretty sure they did
We confirmed with Milwaukee, the PACKOUT light/charger has as standard 3amp charger in it.
Can I pay double for the drawers if they show up at my house next week?
RIGHT?!
Any idea if the drawers are watertight/rainproof?
Why do they rub white dust on the boxes for the promo pics, makes it look like they have UV damage
This is so functional and helpful to have sufficient illumination on the jobsite
