I can 2nd that. I was working at glasto a few years ago and my tent was near the west holts stage. I remember trying to get some rest while Chase and Status were playing. That impressive sub bass travelled straight through the ground vibrating my head.
Him and four Tet always blow the crowd away, especially with a live band! Was lucky to see both of them in Dublin a few years ago, would love to go to Glastonbury sometime though....
Saw Bonobo at Royal Albert Hall, no concert will ever top this..however love the piano section and then the lull before the kick in at the end, bloody superb !!! Love Bonobo !!
Truly privileged to say I was there to witness this iconic set by Simon & his band. He is a generationally talented musician, and the sunset slot on Friday at Glastonbury was perfect to showcase his ability to relentlessly elevate experience. He makes often melancholic music enduringly hopeful. You can see why people are reliant upon, and therefore disciples to, his mesmerising music.
A master at work! Just keep gioing back to this wonderful vibe....so good to see everyone jumpimg out of their shoes!!! Awsome drummer.. so thankful for happy vibes.. wonderful to see people enjoying themselves again .. wow what a wonderful moment..
Have watched a bunch of Glastonbury vids. One BIG difference I've noticed between these shows and American concerts...is that there is hardly anyone at the UK shows who are recording stuff on their phones. It seems...that folks in the UK actually want to BE THERE. They watch the show through their eyes. In the US...people seem to watch the shows through their phones. I wonder why that is?
Yeah, banobo is also gonna be for the music purists out there rather than the pop Tweenies. It’s true though that’s the first time I’ve just seen a crowd living in the moment for a very long time.
@@joshuadixon4932 haha! I didn’t know! But that’s good to hear. I never understand people making videos at a concert anyway. Who are you showing those videos to? I’m certainly never gonna watch them back 😂
This version includes the drum solo and piano solo from the migration tour. They aren't really part of the track, just an opportunity for the selected band member to riff a little and add their own flavour
they came to Kiev a few years back. it was a 2 day festival, and we had to ask days off from work just for the journey. had to choose between seeing Simon the one night or Gorillaz the other. sure enough, we went for Simon. he wasn't even the headlinier for that day, Massive Attack played straight after. we couldn't stay, because we would miss our train home, but we didn't really mind, we were there for him. sad to say, he played to worst audience ever. probably 50 people in the crowd. it was the living embodiment of the "you guys don't get it yet but your kids are gonna love it" meme. but me and my wife being the superfans we are - we were just living the dream, hoping that night wouldn't change his mind about coming to Ukraine again. good times...
Unreal. Saw Bonobo at Citadel festival back in 2017 and they blew my mind. This looks so good... and not 1 smart phone in sight, what a delight to see everyone living in the moment
I didn't know these guys before Glasto, I really love their music, especially fell in love with the drummer, if you're single buddy, drop a line here, thanks, and please more of their music on here, please !! 😊 ❤️
Jack baker is a boss...but the entire band are practically flawless in every performance. Nicole miglis is a great singer.....but she is no szjerdine, look back to the migration tour
I hate people and I despise crowds but I would totally brave the storm at Glastonbury to see a show such as this. Makes US festivals all look like Country Fair Concerts. UK over there Rippin' it and we'all over here wondering where the cotton candy is.....
If it is then I'm very honoured 😏.. My son and I are huge fans and been listening to you for a few years .. He saw you in Brighton and we both saw you at the Royal Albert Hall.
Seen Bonobo a few years ago at Glasto, had to miss them this year in favour of another band I wanted to see. Quite gutted really, but that's what happens with Glasto. Sometimes you have to make painful sacrifices, and this was clearly one of them.
В этом видео есть всё и герб России на красном фоне и ударник с пацификом на майке, бренд BBC, а так же очень крутая электронщина в исполнении талантливой группы Bonobo 😂👍
Yeah he's said it's influenced from his time in Kerala. Not sure what part of Kerala he was in - elements of some percussion I heard out the backwaters near Kochin, but not much ☺️
interesting version but i believe the magic of this song lies in its subtly and that's all lost in this rendition. doesn't translate well to a "for the crowd" big booming soundscape. the beauty of the meticulously layered and separated sounds becomes a sludge rock.
there is every age loving bonobo... that's something you don't see often. And something to be reasonable proud of...
That's one of the beautiful things about Glastonbury 🙂
the sub bass on this stage during the set was absolutely immense
Init.

This stage has always had the best low frequency in my experience. Love bass as well. Brother cider, bass and the Sun. Love it!
I just come back here for this whenever I need cheering up.
BONOBO LIVE = The Definition of “GOOD VIBES”
What made this crowd so good was the massively varied age group, showing just how good bonobo is. Loved every minute of his and the bands set
Him and four Tet always blow the crowd away, especially with a live band!

It must be a blast performing on stage looking out at the sea of audience.
Was very fortunate to be at West Holts to witness it live! Such a good set.
Wow, that made me feel GOOD.
What can i say, this band are top notch....vibes and then some..
iss just one dude actually, backing band are fills :)
Saw Bonobo Live and DJSet at Sonar this year…best thing ever! Still elaborating all those great memories!
@@Globaltheo Thanks for the info, i new that, but still a sublime crew..
Just heard this version live few days ago in Vilnius
Same! and turned out to be my favourite piece!
Esta versión en vivo de Kerala estuve hermosa. Te amo Bonobo, gracias por hacernos feliz con estos sonidos.
Was the highlight of glasto 2022 .
A master at work! Just keep gioing back to this wonderful vibe....so good to see everyone jumpimg out of their shoes!!! Awsome drummer.. so thankful for happy vibes.. wonderful to see people enjoying themselves again .. wow what a wonderful moment..
goosebumps seeing people jumping when the beat comes back at the end
Likewise.
I was lucky enough to be there in amongst it, everyone around me went nuts at this point. Was like the entire set had built up to it. So so good.

United States of America is at peak decadence and they the people are completely consumed by and through media.
This is too good, wish i was there !
Why have they never released this version with the pianos towards the end? Completely changes the song and pushes towards happy hardcore
Doesn't it just.

This version is amazing
Bonobo lets his band play around during sets, this is a prime example.
This version is so much better
Music will bring peace to our world!
Loved hearing this live when he came to my city
2:30 drum solo 🥁
3:55 keys solo 🎹
Absolute class
I'm addicted, just awesome, a sea of sound
Loving the iconic 930 Club tee on the guitarist!
Simon Green has been so influential to my music listening over the decades. He's a bloody legend!
Love Bonobo..best music ever, gets to the soul in a crap world
Unadulterated joy….
you can feel it
I’m so bummed I’ve never heard this. Happy I found it though.
I have watched this 36 times..... Thats it
I can’t stop yet 😂

Well that's unfortunate. But hey, I can dance to Bonobo all night long by myself 😅 I think any major fan can.

Always just gets better and better with Bonobo! Thought their live version in the Royal Albert Hall was something, then this comes and tops it 🤯
Hard to decide what was better but for me Royal Albert Hall was the best ever, Anna Lapwood too :)

Does this name have anything to do with the southernmost most state in India, Kerala?
There must be something!
I'd be disappointed otherwise!
Yeah pretty sure it is because the album is largely influenced by world sounds.
