It's absolutely ridicolous; I wanted to find a new, great, inspiring artist, so I though KEXP usually have the best up-and-commers.
Then here we are, I found both Bonobo and Jordan Rakei with one click here on their RUclips channel. Just wild how good they are at finding new talent.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see them live four times now and each performance has been memorable in its own right. Simon, the incredible band, and the featured vocalists like Szjerdene - Jordan Rakei and Nicole Miglis here - provide a live experience that transcends simple entertainment. They really know how to capture the magic. I’ve attended thousands of shows in my life and Bonobo stands apart.
I've been to maybe 100 shows, and I think Bonobo is best. Electronic + live instruments/vocals.. the brass was awesome.

I met Simon after a concert in Amsterdam once. Such a nice and humble guy. The music unlocks something within me. I was fortunate enough to attend the Fragments tour concert in Amsterdam yesterday. Amazing show, musically and visually 💜🙏🏾💜

Bonobo = spirit made music. He shows human high quality. Plus, he deploys evolution, professionally speaking. Better each time. Happy to have lived long enough to hear his musical expression.

I always liked Bonobo. But this new album is something entirely different, it opens a new world! ❤️
Fragments has really become near my favorite Bonobo album after a few more listens. It just flows from one track to the next with so much ease and the artistry, collaboration of musicians, and singers with the style Simon has fronted is just untouchable. It's pure, beautiful music.
It's awesome. Black Sands for me still tho.
@@Bom-pff Its tough because they're all so good. Probably would say a tie between Animal Magic and Black Sands now. Days to Come 3rd then Fragments 4th. Migration, the north borders, and Dial M tied. All of what Simon does is great music!

Great music but the drummer imho isn’t tight enough.
There has been soooo many bands on KEXP I love but very few with this kind of flawless production. Just amazing how precise these guys are.
The second singer is spot on with delivery-incredible to be able to recreate it live so faithfully to the album version...

when I saw Bonobo live the audience was talking so much it was awful. Same when I saw Tycho except for I could get to the front for Tycho so it wasn't so bad. Most talkative audience I've ever seen at a gazillion gigs and it's especially bad cos Bonobo are pretty quiet. I don't think I'd ever go and deliberately see a similar band again because of the audience
I (most unfortunately) missed their recent Dallas show near me, so I came looking for video from that concert. I noticed exactly what you're talking about here - soooo many folks talking through the performance. You hate to see it.

wow! how many people are in this room! at first it was just bonobo, then a pianist, then a drummer, it's not until the next songs that we see a singer and a sax player! I LOVE THIS VIDEO
Nicole is so great and one of the keyboardists reminds me of Gier/Biosphere.. great to put faces with this band finally for me
That beat on "From You" is more intricate than a Swiss Watch. The engine samples in the bridge (or whatever is it) is what completely blows my mind, every time. That track is pure perfection

I can’t believe they had Jordan Rakei with them! He’s my favorite artist, and I play this song all the time. I just didn’t think they would have him along on KEXP. Amazing!
I traveled to Portland to see him as an opener, and had ZERO idea Bonobo platformed him like this. I love that people knew I was "there" solely for Jordan, acting like a fanboy during the opening set, and LEGIT everyone was leaning into me asking "WHO IS THIS GUY??" LOL. Cannot wait for him to blow up. Find his subreddit.... good people.

Dial M for Monkey is forever part of my life. Bought it on a whim in Amsterdam while the psilocybin was creeping in. It was in the headphones for the duration. Ive since bought the album many times just to give it away.

Совершенно не понимаю что случилось с музыкой Bonobo после Days to come. Почему она стала совершенно другой? Стандартной, на мой взгляд.
Понимаю что музыка это дело вкуса и очевидно что нынешняя итерация находит отклик у людей, кажется что даже большего их количества. Да и автор явно не просто так продолжает делать музыку.
Но вопрос о смене курса мне всё же не даёт покоя, потому что уж очень люблю первые три альбома

I find Bonobo's music somewhat similar to the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt - both use very simple patterns and building blocks to put something complex and nice together.
