- Today I am painting the cabinets in my laundry room and guess what color I chose!!
Hey there! My name is Abby and I recently bought a MAJOR fixer upper house. I am SO excited to work on fixing it up this old house and turning it into my dream home. I can't wait to take you on this journey with me! I am planning to DIY as much as I can and learn so much about home renovations along the way. I am starting out totally clueless so I am sure it will be a grand adventure! I’ve been saying this too, so many people view but don’t put thumbs up, which helps the channel grow.
The paint color should be renamed "Abby's Happiness". This is YOUR home. It makes you happy therefore it's perfect!
You will need extra paint for touchups. When I paint, I take a stir stick and paint it the color and then write on the stick the brand of paint and the # and the date that you used it. Drill a hole in the top and string together and keep with your paints. (I think this was a Martha Stewart suggestion). Been very helpful.
Your idea about putting the color on the starstick and riding the name on it, That is such a good idea.

Gold handles woul be pretty with that pink paint!
Personally, gold handles would make it look too "girlie" Sorry Abby, but that's my opinion as a certified Home Inspector in San Diego !! Maybe I'm a little 'old fashioned' !! 🤔 But, it's gonna look good once you're all moved in !! How exciting !! It's been an exciting journey, Abby !!

Absolutely a great color. Not too “cotton candy” pink…..the beige in it blends so beautifully with the window trim. What a cheerful place to do laundry. Go for it for the closets too ❣️👏

Anything you choose for your home is the best color ever! You will be the one who sees it everyday so there you go! I happen to love that shade of pink so I was happy but the fact that it makes you happy is what counts. Good job, your fixer upper is becoming a beautiful home.

How delightful! Nothing like standing in a pretty space while you take care of the laundry. Make is visually pleasing, listen to some music you like and it won’t feel like work at all. Love it💞

Love the color Abby!! I would recommend putting cabinet liner in the bottom of your air dry rack and all the sink cabinets or maybe a water proff wallpaper to protect it from any drips. Poly the air dry racks and paint the front of them the color of the cabinets

Dusty Rose was very popular in the late 70s/early 80s. I had a bedspread and curtain set in my first rental. This appears quite close to that color😊

I am in love too Abby ! That edging timber is quarter round, darling. Always take the lid with you for exact tinting ! I always buy a gallon because there is always a need for surplus

Yes, I love the dusty rose type of color. I'm glad you decided to paint the back wall where the appliences are going to be. I was going to suggest because if down the road you need to get different size washer and dryer you might not be able to find the color you have now. You have learned so much, you could actually flip houses as well. Hahaha! Take care.

Hey on the last video we hem you put up that bathroom light. I concern about the wall burning. Please be sure about that. I don’t want that light to shine so close to the wall and start a fire.
Great idea for the sink...in order to get it to be what you want, the sink has to be under mounted...so the piece sits flush on top!!!
