that surprise factor I think really caught a few people off guard. People aren't used it having their attacks stuffed and being slowed down etc. Really cool video man, thanks again and happy new year!
What's also nice is that Taunt increases ur PDR by like 15-20 so u can basically u can reach 60-70 PDR in with white gear it's disgusting

One suggestion, Wilson: run Combo Attack.
It sets up the first attack and lets you make a 3-attack combo have two of the attacks benefit from Combo Attack.
I was actually really interested in this. Shield slam count as the first one? Then two quick smacks from arming.

What perks you suggest?
I discuss this near the end of the video. Normal shield/pdr perks if your are going heavy plate. Counterattack is a must. Drop swift/defense mastery if you going light and take combo/spike@@DocXGAMC
Combo doesn't trigger until the 3rd attack.

same build im using since the shield slam changes, it works rly good :D i like to use it in white gear with slayer or in HR with a good bit of PDR

Adrenaline spike can be kinda useful too sometimes. It's at least not a trash perk after the buff. Only need 40% HP now. With counterattack the attack speed can be quite high.
Yes last night I used it a bit too. Especially early on when you don't need swift/defense mastery for armour rating etc. it worked well and made quite a difference.
have you thought about a meme fighter with dagger and shield? you can hold rmb and press lmb with a quick stab then shield up LoL

im getting counter attack, but yes it also gives that as well I think. Its crazy fast, but need to swing quickly after block. Needs more testing I think to 100% certain.
when u filmed this there was a bug going around where u dident need to hold you'r shield up for it to block so most of these clips we see in the start can't be recratet it would also do heavy dmg if u had a pavise on you'r back and a longsword in you'r hand u could parry swinds that hit you'r shield just letting you know

They added blocking to shield slam.. in patch notes
Didnt even think about that. Counter attack working for the block, plus free damage, thats pretty cool. And the block lingers for a super long time, pretty much the whole animation which is nice. That should pair really well with blockade so even if you miss that block slam you get the defense boost, I hope they fix that

Barricade 1000% works, if you use it in low tier goblins you can buy the cheapest plate there is and hit 66%PDR when blocking. I will definitely try shield slam and barricade instead of weapon mastery

The shield bug was patched in the most recent patch I believe,
but it would be nice if that was a part of shield slam as an intended feature.
this was from last night, and the day before post patch.
I thought the patch notes said that shieldbash would still block during it's duration
They patched the bug but they add to Shield Slam the blocking stance as a feature
defense mastery not good try another shield perk +50 more armour for you better than just 10%
