No... a cameraman is recording a cameraman that camera man is recording another cameraman and that cameraman is record another cameraman far away and that cameraman is recording them
Agree with everything, but for a slow and subtle push in, you have another option - just scale the footage up in post. Anything under 110% is going to look perfect
“We’ll fix it in post” is an infamous sentence in film production. It’s actually even said as a joke, because it’s one of the worst things you can say. If you’re doing everything yourself, sure, but if you’re working with a crew, you’re just pushing unnecessary work on others (and time = serious money in real productions). It’s like telling your assistant to bring you coffee; they can do it if it’s absolutely necessary, but that’s not what you hired them for. It’s only okay if it’s necessary to do so if it saves a footage, but don’t be the kind of director / photographer that relies on your editor to fix things in post.
I have a Sony a7c which was the most affordable full frame 35mm camera but the stabilization in video was unusable despite a great quality picture, in bright and low light condition. The stabilization issue was amplify x4 by my parkinson disease. I shake too much. I decided one week ago to buy a gimbal, and now the videos are fantastic. I need to go to the gym to get bigger arm now. Also adding a bit of natural movement make the video more dynamic and alive. I don’t like full static super stable video, or i would use a tripod. A gimbal with a camera is more heavy so i will always have a bit of movement when i shoot but i like the rendering. It is very much like in the movies in Hollywood. Really fantastic.
What I need is something that will definitely help my extra shaky hands. I've been using a combination of a tripod, and either pressing up my cam against my body or holding it away with the strap taut around the back of my neck.
I think adding a bit of shake by overmove the gimbal helps to give back a more natural shooting and interesting footage. I have parkinson and cannot be stable like you guys, but after reviewing the footage i make, i like the rendering which is not completely static, it is stable but there is a bit of panning vertically and horizontally. It is more like in the cinema movies. It make the video more alive, dynamic. If i wanted a perfectly stable video i would use a tripod to get a static shot.
Hey I love your vids your an amazing photographer/videographer and just wanted to ask what camera/equipment would you suggest for a beginner photographer as I have been interested in photography for a while now and have been struggling to decide on what I should get
That's a really tough question. My Honest opinion: Get what you can afford. Don't feel the need to splurge, but if you're trying to decide what to spend money on... an expensive lens is a better investment than an expensive camera. Prioritize good lenses and you'll thank yourself down the road!
No need to listen to me on this but he’s right figure out your budget first of what you can afford cuz at the end of the day your lenses are gonna really be the thing making the difference as well as your skill and pro should be able to take a not so great camera and make something beautiful at it so go for in expensive camera maybe invest a little bit more into a lens and really learn the craft before getting into more expensive options hope that helps as well :)!
Each shot needs intention, from framing, to lens choice, to thpe of movement. Too many beginner videographers get a gimbal because it's "stable", when a tripod or monopod would make the shot seem much more intentional. The only time I use again bowl is if I need a really slow movement shot without micro jitters can I film in a higher frame rate to intentionally slow down later.
You can get Natural shooting with a gimbal by not being as stable. It adds more dynamic image. I just received a gimbal one week ago and i am beginner but i like the video is pleasing stable but not static. My parkinson will make me always shake, i was worry about it but finally the final footage is more dynamic with a stable footage but bot too static. I love my new gimbal. I cannot shoot handheld , or it would be like being in 1914 in a battlefield with no ibis.
I currently have the Canon R6 Mark II with a 24-105mm L-series lens. If I have to choose between the Weebill 3 and the DJI RS3 Mini for a gimbal, what would you recommend?
I always wondered how do people using gimbals get their camera to not move. I’ve played with balancing, settings, and headband but still get camera movement. How do we resolve that?
Usually there is no reason for a camera to move. Any kind of motion is getting into some pretty advanced cinematography that takes a lot of planning and control
Hi, can you please explain how you record slow motion in your videos? Do you record them in high fps or do you do it later in editing? Which way is better? I wanna shoot travel videos but I'm alone.
but in one of your other videos you said "there are two kind of photographers those who use lenses and those who don't" and I want to know is there 4 or 2 TELL ME!!!!...
I wish you would've gone deeper to why we hate gimbals. I don't use a mitorized gimbal, but the .1% time i do need a steady shot i use a glidecam for my cinema Rig
Does it do pull focus with the ring on r6ii. I have that camera and and returning the Hohem cuz there’s too much error bs and can’t use half the features on it with canon
at the point where I hate mine because its basically advertised like Wow look at this!! Then you balance it and everything just to not get a good shot when following someone and footage it still bounces everywhere????
because by having much bigger sensors and mounting great lenses, you get much, much better and professional picture/video quality, even with less features.
What would you like to see. I have several long form videos that show my photos, or you can check Instagram for my work OR I even have some wedding videos I've filmed posted on this channel! :)
I love how a cameraman recording a cameraman and another cameraman recording him.
How many layers deep can we go?
Inception!

And a cameraman is watching them on his phone 😂

"we'll fix it in post"
I do this and it has another advantage- you don't have to mess with shutter angle stuff. It's always smooth with key frames.
A post zoom doesn't look the same as a physical zoom though - each have their place in creating emotion.
I do this a lot with my shorts (since the camera is on a tripod) The main disadvantage is that it lacks any actual parallax.

I just bought a gimbal and it arrives it two days! I’m so excited to play around with it! Thanks for the tips!
No… there’s a 3rd type… those who appreciate both. On every shoot I do I mix about 50/50 gimbal and handheld. Love both
I'm in this group
Love videography advice 👏🏼
I’m a handheld guy mainly because my camera took all the funds for the gimbal 😂
😂

Honestly i wanna start and watching these videos is pretty damn useful
This is perfection. Thank you!

I also like the cam-ception here in this short
Thanks!!!
Tbh more of a slider fan but yeah i use everything there's the right moment to use any

use the suspension legs trick
Me who doesn't have a gimbal but still watching this
what are your camera settings? I love that slow cinematic look🥰
Mulțumim!
🤗
U dont have to use joystick for thé orbital shot or I should say u should touch the joystick while shoot use it for setting frame only
Why would you need to use the joystick for the orbital shot?
To make quicker folows without the walking bounce I normally use a one wheel as well :=
Question : I’m new to photography and would like to start what camera gear should I get?
I expected this to me a "those that use gimbals and those that can't afford them" moment.
What about a ronin ? Wouldn't it be better?
I currently have the Canon R6 Mark II with a 24-105mm L-series lens. If I have to choose between the Weebill 3 and the DJI RS3 Mini for a gimbal, what would you recommend?
What is about the Canon rp?
I think an R10 or R8 would be a better option if you're buying new.
🙌 🔥
I always wondered how do people using gimbals get their camera to not move. I’ve played with balancing, settings, and headband but still get camera movement. How do we resolve that?
Isn't the weeble 2 better with flip out screen more options and a bit bigger easier to hold?
Bought a Zhiyun Smooth Q where the battery died just outside the warranty. As did many others. Wouldn't consider anything by Zhiyun any time soon.
I’m the camera man without a gimbal
I can’t do any of these moves
I've seen you dance, you have moves.
@@AnthonyGugliotta ratio
Okay so is it possible to zoom in and out with the lens while using a gimbal?
Usually there is no reason for a camera to move. Any kind of motion is getting into some pretty advanced cinematography that takes a lot of planning and control
lol. Camera movement is super important for dynamic shots
Last part can’t the pan done without the joystick? Or I’m I missing smth
meanwhile i only want a gimbal that wont require me to sell a kidney
Now i wanna hire him for my wedding 💒😂❤
Hi, can you please explain how you record slow motion in your videos? Do you record them in high fps or do you do it later in editing? Which way is better?
I wanna shoot travel videos but I'm alone.
Ideally shoot high fps and edit in half
So what’s the gimbal that u r using?
I have a question should i do auto tune every time i use gimbal with same setup
but in one of your other videos you said "there are two kind of photographers those who use lenses and those who don't" and I want to know is there 4 or 2 TELL ME!!!!...
I wish you would've gone deeper to why we hate gimbals. I don't use a mitorized gimbal, but the .1% time i do need a steady shot i use a glidecam for my cinema Rig

You forgot the 3rd type: people who can't afford them😅
Does it do pull focus with the ring on r6ii. I have that camera and and returning the Hohem cuz there’s too much error bs and can’t use half the features on it with canon
Camera is recording a cameraman holding a camera watching a cameraman filming a cameramen that is recording a cameramen holding a camera 😮😮😮
Do you prefer the zhiyun or the dji Rs3
I got the rs3 for my r6 mark ii w/ 24-70 f2.8 and its a dream. Highly recommend
Not enough experience with the RS3 to give you a solid answer. Maybe in the future?
What mode ?
Me with steadycam: shake go brrrr
There's actually 3
The one whos budget doesn't justify a gimbal 😂
😅
at the point where I hate mine because its basically advertised like Wow look at this!! Then you balance it and everything just to not get a good shot when following someone and footage it still bounces everywhere????
i still wanna know: WHY should we pay 3 Times the price for a Camera instead of a Phone, even if the 1.500 phones have much better Features??
because by having much bigger sensors and mounting great lenses, you get much, much better and professional picture/video quality, even with less features.
What features? No smartphone camera has better features than an actual camera. Depends on your needs aswell…
I hate gimbals I try to avoid them creating shooting list that need Shoulder rig or handheld the most .
Bro, you look like a Pakistani Actor Wahaj Ali.
Main tip to make a shot seemingly look cool:
SLOWMOTION.
Ngl but would not call that cinematic never seen any of the camera moves ever used in cinema
Lmao
Bro is recording a camera with a camera
Ok you are a photographer and videographer. . . . . but why don't you post your results
What would you like to see. I have several long form videos that show my photos, or you can check Instagram for my work OR I even have some wedding videos I've filmed posted on this channel! :)
I DON'T KNOW YOU HAVE A TWIN BRO
Who Stefano?!?!
And of course 120 fps... 😂😂😂
My hard drive space weeps
@@AnthonyGugliotta i belive you!!! 😂😂😂😂
Useless videos tbh
I still can’t figure out my gimbal 🥲 I’ll just stick to photography.
you and me both! I'll just let the subject walk away from the tripod at this point.
Bride was bouncing alr 🤤🥵🥵
