NOTE: Always taste lauki before chopping it. If it happens to be bitter, discard it right away, in a manner that no human or animal can reach it. BITTER lauki is POISONOUS

While watching this video, I am surprised to know, how close are our Andhra & Punjabi recipes. There you call them “Wadi or Wadiyan” and here in Andhra we call them Wadiyaa lu”. This small difference is because of the Telugu language system of suffixing “lu” after anything you wish to make it plural, just the way in Hindi we add “ yan”. I travelled around the whole India barring North & North East. As I understood so far, Punjabis & Andhrites are the real connoisseurs of India. We deserve a big applause 😀😀😀😀

Poonam's Kitchen In my original comment I mistakenly mentioned that, I have not travelled North and Northeast India. Actually it should be East and Northeast. One more big common thing in Andhra & Punjabi food habits is, only these two states people love pickles, both veg & non veg

Mujhe bhi lauki ki sabzi bilkul pasand nhi hai mai kabhi nhi khati par aaj first time lauki ki sabzi bna rahi hu wo bhi apki recepie dekhkr😊
kaisi bani fir? meri wife ko bhi pasand nahi lekin mujhe bahut pasand hai. mai lauki khareed kar laata hoon lekin wo freeze mai hee rakhi rahati hai, kabhi ban nahi paati esi chakkar mai. aisa kya kiya jaye ki usko lauki pasand aa jaye.

Yesterday night I cooked gheeya and it came out very tasty. The best part was the trick of adding flour ,it turned the gravy smooth n thick. Earlier no matter what I did but the gravy used be runy. Thanks .looking forward to another creation of yours
