I was pretty well behaved as a kid so she generally let me get something whenever we went out. If I was bad she wouldn't, fair enough right? But one time she DESTROYED MY SOUL! I behaved badly, I can't remember what I did but essentially I wasn't getting candy. So we get to the checkout and while we're checking out my mom says, "Why didn't you pick anything out?" Like candy wise. I didn't pick anything out because I was bad and I assumed she was gonna say no so I didn't bother. I was like, uhhhh and then she turns to the cashier lady and is like, "Ohhh right it's because you misbehaved so you don't get anything" I WAS SOOOOOO EMBARRASSED I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO DIE! I think I was under 10 maybe? But when we left the store I told her, I can't believe you said that! I just silently cried the rest of the way home. lol And there's my weird childhood candy story
I think he was still in pain from his unsuccessful test flight with the time travel machine. When the scene star ts he's walking kinda hunched over, then his hand goes down towards his groin when he turns the corner with the shopping cart. Probably wasn't in too good a mood.
Considering the fact that he's always a jerk to Napoleon I can't help but feel like he would've reacted this way regardless of whether he was still in pain or not.

This is what I do to my son on purpose to embarrass him minus the pampers thing. 😂 But then I get him what ever he wants. I grew up poor so when I go grocery shopping with my son I remember my parents getting all the off brand stuff. It wasn't until I was an adult that I tried real Captain Crunch.
