It was fun watching chat trying to deduce races & classes ^^

I've just entered the D&D world myself, and my friends in the party shared your "Crap Guide to D&D" series for a satirical explanation to my questions. This is my first time being able to simply watch and learn from a D&D session, and I have to say, this was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! Enoch's vide when he put a gun to that cultists head and said a prayer: "In Nomine Patris, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti" This was so fun, hope to catch it live since I only made it near the end when it was streamed.
SPOILERS BELOW 3:18:33 Davy: “am I committing an act of necromancy if I control the necromancer?“ I think Mr. Nathaniel Gainsby would know best about that
Disclaimer at the start. *says stuff about how they might play differently or against d&d rules* (Me, a respectful viewer and admirer of d&d) Those are guidelines anyway. The DM's and Players should be allowed to play the way they want. As long as nobody is meta gaming, or actively trying to screw each other over. Without good roleplay reasoning. (Though that in and of itself may be very loose) Seriously guys. We're all here to have fun. Debating something is fine. Trying to force something to be one specific way. With absolutely no wiggle room. Doesn't leave anyone happy.
This is hands down the best episode 1 of a campaign I've ever seen! Straight into the action, but not at the cost of PC introductions and development! Extremely well done by players and DM alike!
who drew the portraits? I only caught the shoutout for kate but I feel theres a missed opportunity to give credit to the portrait artist at the beginning
My boy Enoch came through with the scientific discorveries, the medieval glocks and blickies, he ain't talking to nobody about anything, and an upholder of the law. But he got hounded the absolute most with that mimic and zombie incident. He's offically my favorite character
The map looks very Eragon inspired. The Spine was the name of the mountain range in that book as well. Don't know if that was intended but that is the first thing I picked up, lol. Everything looks great so far JoCat. Thanks a ton for the campaign, I'll be tuning in with great expectations.
I just found this and I am already a huge fan and will catch up on all the episodes! Jocat is such a good story teller. And I like the PCs so much! Oh man, this story is going to be amazing! Is great that we finally have Jo-Cat as DM in one of these. Great players and all the added effects are appreciated, like Jo-Cat's voice having more power when he begun the narration
I feel like Nathaniel, after reaching max level, becomes Mr. Wizardly.
With out a doubt. Let’s just hope he doesn’t piss off a wild mage monkey man with the whole banana aesthetic
@@wolfknap9494 I never even thought about that. *Upon encountering Sips* "you aren't going to try and eat me, are you? Despite appearances to the contrary, I am not actually a banana."

Why do I always find comments like this _immediately_ after binge watching the series being referenced?
Can I just say how much I appreciate how loud their mics are? I always hate having the crank up my volume just so that I am still not able to hear what they are saying.
You can always turn your sound down, but turning it up is much more limited
Putting the effort in to make a good stream pays off in spades on the end product
My current guesses for their race and class
Luna: Scourge Aasimar Echo Knight (TWF)
Enoch: Protector Aasimar Gunslinger
Renee: Half-Elf? (???) Bard
Nathaniel: Human? Glamor Bard
given that nates eyes are snake like hes likly a yuan ti
Also Renee is a mark of finding half elf I think
Could not help but imagine Grikyak as on of Jocats gobbo goblins all adorable and such.
Whoo, time to rewatch! It starts at midnight for me and I stuck around the entire 5 hours during the premiere. No sleep, but totally worth it! I love the group chemistry already and Davvy's playing is inspired! It's obvious he has a lot of experience with the game & the mechanics but he works it into the RP really well, reminds me a little of Taliesin's Percy back in the day. It was fun watching chat trying to deduce races & classes ^^

Love how Cami-Cat has those bursts of enthusiasm during pop culture references, very bard like!
Honestly really like this group for the most part. Honestly thought Nathaniel was a wizard did a good bit and even when he inspired someone, I thought that was just some type of fear. Interested to see where this 2 fighter 2 bard party goes.
I really hope there will be an NPC that talks like joCrap.
Yessssssss
"You think you like necromancy, huh? Well strap yourself in, because you're about to become a corpe yourself."
I think. It's been a minute since I've seen a crap guide vid
"I dont want him to laugh, I just want him to scream." - Davvy Chappy
Boy these are some kickass character designs. Never expected a propper lad in an all-yellow mage getup could look so iconic!
I've just entered the D&D world myself, and my friends in the party shared your "Crap Guide to D&D" series for a satirical explanation to my questions. This is my first time being able to simply watch and learn from a D&D session, and I have to say, this was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! Love the characters and their personalities, I love the story, and I do like the influence that you portray as the DM. Excellent examples to learn from, and I hope this campaign lasts a long while!!!
So, in terms of PCs, we have... #ThreeYetis, ITS HIGH NOOOOOOON-- "and oh, also I have a hat!", SINGER LADY OH LORD SHE'S PRETTY SHE CAN MELT ME WITH THAT VOICE, and banana wizard with glasses.
THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!
BANANA WIZARD!
"Sleep is a spell that's so good, you may as well cast it twice."
JoCat: "You weren't supposed to do that."
Jocat : They will use their strength, their wit...
Me : ...and their fireballs.
Just fireball.
Enoch's vide when he put a gun to that cultists head and said a prayer: "In Nomine Patris, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti"
This was so fun, hope to catch it live since I only made it near the end when it was streamed.
"MARSHAL IS EVIL NOW HE HAS A GUN" ah a refrence i get and a good one at that.

Huzzaaaaah
My god that is something beautiful he did
That moment when you’re a banana and you betray no emotion:
To me, you can’t actually break the rules of D&D unless you break the trust or respect of the DM and other players.

Damn. Nathaniel is COLD. Has to be Yuan-Ti. I cant wait to see the rest of this.
Yeah plus them snake eyes

An hour in and loving this so far. Like the ability to flip between serious story and goofy fun you’re allowing as DM.

"You gotta poke it with a stick." Enoch is the cowboy himbo we need.
Been looking forward to seeing camicat in a campaign for the longest time and glad to see a jocat campaign after arcadums game.
Enoch is going to be trouble...
Now I ask this as a cowboy. Why is the cowboy always trouble?
It’s all that pent-up yeehaw energy being released.
@@mleppp1546 I see, I must have an outlet for all of my "Yeehaw" that you city slickers do not...
It's cuz we don't bend for nobody. Besides, a good tussle is always fun bwa haha!
Me hoping krigyak will be the bbg but will surrender when he sees them and help everyone recover
Ah yes big big guy
Yes!!!! YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!! This is everything I’ve wanted and more
3 hours of Jocat. My day is made
Disclaimer at the start.
"They're more like Guidelines than actual rules"
This is hands down the best episode 1 of a campaign I've ever seen! Straight into the action, but not at the cost of PC introductions and development! Extremely well done by players and DM alike!
First session start with a failed roll, and extra time. Its gonna be a nice series
who drew the portraits? I only caught the shoutout for kate but I feel theres a missed opportunity to give credit to the portrait artist at the beginning
@/caliscanvas on Twitter! It’s in the linked in description but the cast mentioned her on Twitter when the art was revealed
@@a.m.keller3241 I kind of wanna commission them for a portrait for my next session! I wonder what their rates are?

My boy Enoch came through with the scientific discorveries, the medieval glocks and blickies, he ain't talking to nobody about anything, and an upholder of the law. But he got hounded the absolute most with that mimic and zombie incident. He's offically my favorite character
First few minutes and they've already Blackmailed their employer. You can tell this is going to go reeeaally well.
Such a sweet and innocent disclaimer Jocat you are a truly wholesome lad. I'm very excited to experience what you and this party bring to the table.
The map looks very Eragon inspired. The Spine was the name of the mountain range in that book as well. Don't know if that was intended but that is the first thing I picked up, lol.
Everything looks great so far JoCat. Thanks a ton for the campaign, I'll be tuning in with great expectations.
That’s exactly what I was thinking! The map and layout of the Inheritance world is so good :D
I just finished reading Eragon and that's the first thing I picked up as well!
A little under an hour in, the amount of emotion Jo puts into each character, I love it.
Will this be a full on campaign ? If yes, I’m all in for it :DD
Yooo cod ghosts pfp, love that game
I think it's like EXU, a limited session game. You can always Google the topic if no answer is available.
Barely started but the goblin salesman convinced me to binge this series. Excellent work!
And so brings a new chapter of my media life - watching a new DnD stream. It’s a good life.
Having watched this entire series, the dead rat is foreshadowing...color me impressed.
Well done JoCat.
Coming back to listen from the top, after session 5! This has quickly become my favorite DND campaign, you guys all do an amazing job!
I just found this and I am already a huge fan and will catch up on all the episodes! Jocat is such a good story teller. And I like the PCs so much! The part with the Goblin merchant had me tear up and I was soooo happy they helped him. It warmed my heart! I'm having a blast listening to you guys! I wish I could play with you.
I’m just sitting here thinking of Cami-Cat’s “Life as a Bard” song…
This is one of the most organized groups I have ever seen pog
(To the tune of The Spider-Man Theme)
🎵Banana Bard, Banana Bard, all in all they're a wild card. Mind Sliver? Going dark. Their face doesn't betray them, Mr. Stark. LOOK OUT, here comes the Banana Bard🎵
Better, the Spiderman theme tune in Jocat's voice from the fighter video
Nathaniel is how I imagine a wizard to be. The coldness, how dark he is with his imagery and ideas. I absolutely love it
The one unbreakable rule of every ttrpg, if your not using house rules you're playing it wrong.
Interesting how the disclaimer even says "Everyone plays D&D differently" and you're saying that following the rules is wrong.
@@Squidberries just saying. I've yet to play a ttrpg that didn't house rule something.
@@nerdyogre6683 Well, AL didn't allow house rule.
@@powerist209 AL?
@@nerdyogre6683 But that's not what you said. You said, and I quote, "If your not using house rules you're playing it wrong."
You're doing the exact thing that the disclaimer is asking you not to do.
An hour and half into the first episode and this is already one of my favourite sessions online. JoCat and associates, you're all knocking it out of the park. It's all soooo good. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Good to see this up on RUclips, watched it live on Twitch and I've got to say it is the best chat I've ever seen or been in. And as I said over the stream, I did make a Dollar Store Bag Of Holding, a Rock Of Magic Missiles (THE BOULDER), and of course Necromancy Berries. All of which you can find in the homebrew of D&D Beyond. Very excited for this campaign and can't wait to catch the second stream.
35:10 - I have a blacksmith character that wants a piece of that sword. "A sword does not need a story to be beautiful. Let me purchase this blade so that I might restore its glory." lol
Which is exactly how fjord got the star razor
I love the mental image that joseph is just at a piano playing the music whilst DMing
I love that you kept Nathaniel singing right before the break in the video
Alright, was **NOT** expecting the skeleton warriors reference, I love jo cat from his monster hunter days, but i love this guy even more now.
I am so glad I finally decided to watch this. JoCat you are an amazing DM: this whole campaign seems so well-thought-out, the world is alive and terrifying, and the NPC's are just gold. And your players! OMG the players! They are sooooo gooooood! I am definitely going to binge parts of this
Oh my god, my brain melted with nostalgia when you started the tune to Skeleton Warriors.
