I've bought the jank shank it had rough machining marks that could be seen through the coating, the kryptia grinds were uneven and ebony handle scales were chipped where the screws fasten it. Reached out with no response back from them.
Thanks so much for the comprehensive review! Does the knife have a 90 degree spine with which to scrape a ferro rod? How much does the Valor Mk1 weigh? Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video thanks for watching! The weight on this one is 9.3 oz . It does have a 90 degree spine but it's got material removed on each side for the hybrid fuller. You can still strike a fire steel there though no problem 👍🏻
May I know where is the knife's point of balance? Wondering if it's front or back heavy... Also, do you know if the tang is skeletonized or a solid block of steel? Thanks so much for your valued feedback.
It balances perfectly right in the center of the finger choil where you would want it to. I don't believe the tang is skeletonized at all besides the holes drilled for the screws.
@@Bladeunion5716 Thanks mate! I'm liking this knife more and more....really appreciate your feedback. Very hard to find reviews for this particular knife! Keep up the great work!
I didn't want to like this knife, but I must admit, it's quite appealing to me. Toor Knives has a reputation for shoddy QC; which is covered up by their hedge fund backers and flashy marketing. I've stayed away from their products because of that. Any fixed blade knife I own is a serious, mission capable tool. I have no tolerance for things that are all show and no go.
I don't own a ton of Toor knives but the ones I have are great blades. I haven't messed with their folders though. This Valor is a sweet blade I really like it! Thanks for watching.
Sorry you had a bad experience with our products. I hope that customer service was there to take care of you and if not, please allow us to make it right. Come by the shop for a tour if you ever get a chance! Oh and this might be hard to believe but we have no investors with stakes in the company, so we can squash that here. But thanks for the complement of our awesome Marketing team!
@@toorknives , No worries. I just ordered a Valor MK1 and a Darter, from Blade HQ. I did so because of your reply to my comment. It speaks highly of your company. And for the record, I've never had a bad experience with one of your products.
@toorknives I've spent 550 on two of your knives, the krypteia with ebony scales that were chipped, jank shank that had very rough machining marks. 550 is alot of money.
If you have more Toor knives in your collection please do more videos on them thanks.
I'll do some more thanks for watching!

Shouldn't have those problem when your spending 550 on two knives
One of or if not. The best damn knife I've seen in a long while! Absolutely badass
Thanks for the honest and solid review!
You guys make some great blades! Thanks for the kind words.
Great review, would love to see more Toor knives showcased!
Really like your channel bro. Look forward to more. 🤘🏼
Thank you! More to come for sure!
I so so want one of these. So cool!

@@Bladeunion5716 Thanks! This sure looks like a very good lightweight, slim profile survival knife option! It also scores high in terms of looks!
@@jonathankwok2581 it checks a lot of boxes for sure!
Looks awesome
Have you put this thing through any heavy use? Thinking of getting it for tactical and survival applications

@Jonathan Kwok glad I could help and thanks for watching! I would just get this one if you're considering. It's a good blade, no downsides really.
Looks dope but that sharpening choil/plunge line is so bad :/
Wish they would do black on black
