That's an awesome looking clock! A clock is definitely on my project list, but I keep psyching myself out on the drilling out the space for the clock movement.
Great video! Clocks have been my go-to lately for quick projects. Tons of fun and can be done with my minimal tools since I live in an apartment. Definitely like the walnut and gold rings!
Great job! I like the end results, and I'm starting to really like seeing other material added to a project while keeping wood the main component in the construction. It seems like the more I see different projects being made like that;the more I like how they turn out. Looks like I may have to try it out myself. Thanks for your time, and effort.
I really like how this turned out! It is in a very similar vein as your serving platter with the gap in the corner. I like the mint color you chose too, that was perfect!
Looking at the thumbnail, I didn't realize you used rings. I thought it was a solid flat band. The rings have a much nicer look. And spray paint is such an under utilized tool. Awesome stuff bud!!
As per usual, great job! I always hit the like button even before the video starts. That's the confidence I have in the fact that everything you make is going to be awesome! Oh and thanks for squaring up the hole in the back, now my OCD will not be all crazy. LOL
That was an awesome decorative clock. It would be super cool if the hole between the ring and the wood comes to position "3"O clock and place a sticker 3 in the hole.... Just a suggestion... 👍
I had to laugh at your silencing the haters in the comments comment! I really like the idea of stacking the rings. A much easier solution than many others! 👍
I don't know if its a new lens, lighting, camera or just different settings but your stand up in the beginning looks great man. The key light kicked off to the side adds a nice contrast between you and your background. Granted, you may not have changed anything at all and maybe I'm over analyzing it but it just struck me when I saw it. Oh, love the clock design too sir. Good stuff.
Is the logo intro new? I dig it. I love the idea of using those rings as a banding. The mint color is nice but I think I prefer the white. Nice work JB.
Should have used the square method to find the center. Draw a line tangent to one side of the circle. Then draw perpendicular lines on that line that are also tangental to the circle and a last one at the bottom. Then draw lines from corner to corner going through the circle. The intersection in the middle is the center.
This one is gorgeous! I just finished a whiskey barrel clock of my own but had a nightmare of a time digging out the back for the mechanism. I tried some forstner bits and a dremel hand held router but it was painful, any tips are appreciated! Amazing work Johnny!
Good stuff as always bro! I have this really cool looking aromatic Cedar cookie ive had it for like 2 years,it's too small to make a stool. never thought of making a clock until now!lol thanks for the inspiration Johnny!

Nice, build one for yourself Colin!
So true about those simple build wins. Your clock and the coat rack that Bob Clagett built would make an excellent combo package!
So true, Stanley, they would be a perfect match!
I love how the finish brings out the grain in the walnut! It looks FANTASTIC!!
For sure, that's my favorite part of every build!
Compounding simple wins builds confidence to tackle bigger projects. Great vid Johnny.
Totally agree, Adrian!
I really, really like this look.
The Mint hands really look nice.
Well done.
Thanks Mike!
Your shop is the best organized, neatest shop I’ve seen!
Thanks, I’m really proud of it!
I like the minute and hour hand on that clock! The clock itself is out of this world! Thanks for the video!
Thanks a lot!
I love Walnut so much. This clock looks amazing.
Thanks, me too!
Now that wall clock is one that I would have in my house!
Thanks James!
Awesome project. Love that "sweat equity" phrase.
Thanks man, love that phrase too!
So when are we getting a durability test on this clock Jerry. I need to know if it passes the bend test.
Jerry wants to rig your watch, please watch out.
Where does wood lay on the hardness scale? I don't want this clock getting scratched by my keys.
It’s hard enough for that application, it’s a hardwood, much harder than Pine and the like.
Great use of a piece of slab. Nicely done. Very creative.
Thanks James!
Turned out fabulous. Simple, yet elegant.
Thanks man!

Thanks man! They were a great find for sure.

Hah, thanks mama!
This is a beautiful clock. I love the walnut and brass.
Thanks Jonathan, me too!
This clock looks great! love the live edge in the end of it and the brass really compliments the wood.
Appreciate it!
That's an awesome looking clock! A clock is definitely on my project list, but I keep psyching myself out on the drilling out the space for the clock movement.
It's way easier than you think, go for it!
Great video! Clocks have been my go-to lately for quick projects. Tons of fun and can be done with my minimal tools since I live in an apartment. Definitely like the walnut and gold rings!
Thanks Eric! They're definitely great for simpler projects, basically can drill a hole into anything and make it a clock.
Love it. Especially the little life shape in it... what a great idea!
Thanks Hendrick!

Thanks man, glad you liked it!
Very nice Johnny! I would not have thought of macrame hoops.
Thanks Jeff! Took a lot of Googling to find the macrame rings, I wasn't familiar with them but they definitely worked perfectly.
This is a great project! I could see doing this with scrap boards like you would do with making a cutting board.
For sure, that'd look awesome!
The clock looks awesome Johnny! 👍👊 ..... And the hands are mint! .... yes, a third time 😁
Hah, thanks Fred!
Totally feel ya on the quick wins. The mint was a good choice! Looks great
3x3Custom - Tamar .... You are a diva! Your channel is awesome 👏
Thanks Tamar! These little projects really help keep me sane while building bigger stuff. Nice to be able to knock something out in a day.

Hey Johnny this clock is rad! Love the wood choice and the stacked rings were kind of brilliant.
Thanks Blake!
I really like how this turned out! It is in a very similar vein as your serving platter with the gap in the corner. I like the mint color you chose too, that was perfect!
Thanks Bruce! I think the negative space in those two pieces really make the look.
Looking at the thumbnail, I didn't realize you used rings. I thought it was a solid flat band. The rings have a much nicer look. And spray paint is such an under utilized tool. Awesome stuff bud!!
Thanks man!
Love it! Would totally buy it. Love the colors

If you appease the haters they win. Loved the clock.
Thanks!
Beautiful piece.
Appreciate it!
You make some really cool stuff. You should turn some wooden discs and put them in your ears. Go big!
Looks great, but I'd personally have drilled divots for the hours markings.
Definitely would be a good addition!
It looks super nice!
Thanks!
Loved the video, Johnny.
Thanks!
Beautiful!!!
D-ring. Got that! Thanks for sharing.

Adding 4 pieces of brass rod at the 12, 3, 6,& 9 positions might have been a nice touch
For sure!
Perfect Job

I had to laugh at your silencing the haters in the comments comment! I really like the idea of stacking the rings. A much easier solution than many others! 👍
Hah, it’s so true! And thanks, I really like the way they look stacked on the edges.
*Insert Crotch joke here* haha! Stacking the rings is a great alternative to bending a larger piece.
Hah! Yea, the macrame rings were a great find.
Sweeeeeet! That’s nice buddy.
Appreciate it Riaan!

Simple win for sure! I really love how this one came out! Except, I hate that you wasted time chiseling out the back ;)
Hah, thanks man!
Really nice project!
Thanks Derek!
Looks awesome!
Thanks Henrik!
Great design! Nicely done Johnny!
Appreciate it, Michael!
Great creativity Johnny. But silver spray paint is what matches walnut!
Thanks Chris!
This one is gorgeous! I just finished a whiskey barrel clock of my own but had a nightmare of a time digging out the back for the mechanism. I tried some forstner bits and a dremel hand held router but it was painful, any tips are appreciated! Amazing work Johnny!
Thanks man! Surprised the Forstner bits didn't work for you, they are pretty good for that type of thing.
Its been a long time i didnt watch ur videos
