  • I love Petunias and I have grown them from seed in some years now. This year I have some of my own seeds that I collected last summer and I’m excited to see what colors they will have. I just can’t wait to see more flowers again, but until then.. I needed to transplant these 🌱

Great idea with the spoons to lift the seedlings out!

Thank you so much, it sure can be a bit difficult to get them out without hurting them so those spoons are great 😃

What if we don’t have bunny 💩? What type of soil ? When should we start feeding them and what to feed them ?

If you don’t have that , I would get a good soil that contains compost or blend in soil that contains manure from chickens , cows, or so on.
Usual plantsoil usually contains nutrients enough for about a week , after that I start giving small amounts of nutrients when I water them 1-2 times a week and add more along with their growth.
I use the liquid from my bokashi compost, small amount of my own urine ( yes I know it may sound weird , but the plants love it!) blended with water so it doesn’t burn their roots.
Fermented nettle water that I blend with water , it doesn’t smell good.. so I usually give them that when they are outdoors full time 😅
If I wouldn’t do that, I would buy a liquid nutrient that’s eco friendly to mix up with water to give them 1-2 times a week.
When they are seedlings and still small. I don’t give them a lot of nutrients when I water them , just small amounts because they can easy get stressed with to much of the good stuff or burn their young roots. So I add more when they get bigger.
I hope it was somewhat helpful and I wish you and your plants the best. I’m sure they will bloom and give so much joy! 🌸
