It’s extremely common for all 32 NFL teams and their fans to blame the officials whenever they lose. I mean, the refs make a ton of mistakes and all, but some controversial calls hurt far more than others.
All 32 teams have been the victim of a really bad call at some point in their history. And some of these calls have actually costed them a game, or even their entire season.
Let’s dive into the WORST penalty call -- or lack thereof -- against every NFL team.
and don't forget to leave your video ideas down in the comments below, we’re looking and we’ll give you a shout out in the video if we use it.

Sup everyone, let us know in the comments below the worst penalty call against your favorite team and how it screwed them???
The worst penalty call I've seen is the AFC championship. The cheifs should have gotten the punt return
The Tuck Rule
4:23 the phantom blindsided block on Landry was this season bubby. Not 2018.
It ain’t show chargers
Im a lions fan you could make an hour long video about the slaps in the face by the officials .... and picking up the flag was bad but dez running on the field with no helmet to yell at the official after the play before that official picked up the flag . Thats 15 and a 1st down but I think dez told him that the cowboys are the one who put the envelope in his locker

Jaidyn Foddrell bro I was just about to comment that god damn it
I came down here to comment on this EXACT thing LMAO!
This should just be an 18 minute video of botched calls against the Detroit Lions.
yourdedede0 ikr my man
yourdedede0 agreed
Or 18 min of pro patriots missed calls
Not even a lions fan and ive noticed. I think either the refs are biased for an unknown rrason against the lions or more likely (imo) something in the coaching in detroit doesnt prepare them boys for how you can get away with penalties, cuz to my knowledge most NFL teams coach how to not be seen, holding or how to do,things really lightly so they, only get rare calls
Have you seen the calls the browns have had
If you're a saints fan you know where this is goin 🤷♀️
Sierra Symone I’m just sayin. It’s total Karma that the Rams had a potentially game altering penalty ignored
Sierra Symone yup
I'm not a Saints fan, I'm 6 mins into this vid and I know where this is going 🤣
True but if u watch the whole video u see that they were the beneficiary of many bad calls against other teams
I aint a saints fan and I still know whatchumean if you a football fan lmao
Making This video means that the refs don't do their job
Bring back the replacement refs.. LMAOOOO!!!!

8:30 ... Tom Brady throws a pass that lands in-bounds at the 1 yard line...
TPS: "It sailed out of bounds"
The colts and Steelers just had that problem on Sunday........ it was obviously uncatchable
Also, the defender ran Cooks out of bounds. Let's be honest, if it hadn't been NE, this wouldn't be on this list.
I’m not a titans fan but there is proof that it was a legal lateral
Exactly. With the camera angles, there is no definitive proof against the call.
All it takes is looking at where the ball leaves and where it lands. It's slim but it goes back ever so slightly.
Dont pay attention to the player's bodies pay attention to the ball.
Agreed. The thing with breaking this video down is that if the viewer has to magnify and try to dissect millimeters to see if "maybe" it might have been a debatable hair foreword instead of perfectly lateral, and still cant make a definitive assessment..its good. How many hairs are nay-sayers grasping at before admitting that's how the game works? Lateral pass is a legal play. Even if technology existed to prove the ball went forward 2mm. Please. That's a lateral pass
Lol super obvious forward lateral. Get your eyes checked
As a saints fan I really don’t wanna watch this video because I don’t want it to bring back the horrid memories
You dont know pain!!!

The Browns one should have been the “Beer Game” as it did cost the Browns a playoff spot
M.C.Martin Official Channel definetly.
Christopher Bingham if it was 2001, 8-8 would have won the division, if it was 2000, then no, but I don’t quite remember what year it was
Christopher Bingham still changed stadiums to ban bottles forever. That’s bigger than the Browns.
That’s not a penalty
@@oddbigking9069 no, but it was a bad call by the refs. They reviewed a play that occurred before the current play, which is illegal
“The ball landed out of bounds” as the ball lands in the field of play short of the end line lmao
The raiders one should be the tuck rule for sure, even Tom Brady has come out and said it should have been a fumble
They could make a whole video on bad calls against the Raiders in the playoffs, Immaculate Reception, a blown dead fumble against the Denver in 78 that helped the Broncos win the AFC championship, the phantom pass interference against the Bills in 94, the no call personal foul against the Ravens in the 2000 AFC championship game when Siragusa belly flopped on Gannon and broke his collar bone, and of course the Tuck rule.
KsuJinks the video is about penalties and missed penalties. Not rule mistakes
You really can't blame that on the refs. it was technically the correct call, even if the rule was BS. The refs actually did their job. My favorite thing ever was Chucky winning a game in TB thanks to the tuck rule, after all the whining and crying like a little girl he did over the AFC championship game
Jason Anziano you’re not wrong, even as a die hard raider that was entertaining nonetheless. I’m still salty he left the year after and then beat us mainly because he knew literally every formation we could possibly run lol
My dad actually went to that football game
One has to wonder if those “missed” calls were not exactly “missed.”
yeah I'm a Saints fan. I'll take this to my grave. The NFL wanted the rams in the Sb in 2018. Gotta appease the LA. market
@@kingfish4242 Stop it.
kingfish4242 just to get 3 freakin points?
@@askmeificare5557 why the saints lost because of the stupid refs and sometimes I go so far as to wonder whether the Rams tipped off the refs
@@calrex4513 Not everything is a conspiracy. The only thing the NFL does to promote the L.A. market is putting them on primetime. Why didn't the NFL make the Rams win the Superbowl? Why aren't they outstanding this year? Surely that would have made the L.A. market much more profitable.
At 3:53, the caption makes it look like one of the players decided to shoot his shot after the game and his crush instantly replied. Such a beautiful love story ❤
How
Lol reply
What?
It's because the caption says "The Instant Reply Game" instead of "The Instant Replay Game"
No, no it doesn't. Just because of the "reply" instead of "replay" does not make it so. I don't know how you even came up with all of that nonsense just because of the misspelling.

Titans didn’t do a forward pass they reviewed it and he came back with his foot
No, it was a forward pass, im not a Bill's fan, but I know that's a illegal forward pass. You are just saying that cause you are a Titans fan.
Infected348
No, it actually wasn’t a forward pass.
Infected348 it’s not a forward pass. If the pass is completely horizontal then it isn’t a forward pass. That’s the rule. If you look where the guy threw the ball it looks forward but you have to look where the ball was
I dont think so, it sure was close, but that looked like a forward pass to me
@@infected3486 have you seen any other replay? It shows a lateral as it is exactly horizontal.

There is one big mistake. The "Fail Mary" TD call was correct call. Golden Tate had possession of the ball and 2 feet inbounds in the endzone. There is no rule for someone having more possesion then the other, . and even tho Jennings had the ball first he was still in the air. catch doesnt count till you come to the ground and inbounds. Both players got their hands on the ball while they where both in still the air. its like in baseball when a tie goes to the runner.
The missed call on that play was Offensive pass interference on Tate shoving a Green Bay defender from the back before going up for the ball.
I like how in the thumbnail the saints ref looks like he was getting ready for calling a bad call

DiabolousSpiritus I don’t disagree, but you have to admit that the Pats and Steelers seem to have call go their way a lot! Also, I was more frustrated with the Myles Jack call then the AJ call
DiabolousSpiritus I can say the same for colleges. Bama and LSU seem to never get called for holding.
DiabolousSpiritus the Seahawks got screwed out of a Super Bowl Tho.
I think it’s sadly becoming more and more obvious about the officiating tho.

Lions Packers 2019 so far this season
Greenbay's vs the Seahawks is just unfortunate. Chiefs had one like that this year. Defender has it, but the offensive player has an arm and it held tight. Tie goes to the offense and with replacement refs, seeing two guys with the ball on the ground in the end zone is a touchdown 100% of the time.
PS. The defender doesn't complete the pick til both feet are down and Tate has enough possession before that happens to give doubt.
The PI on this play was blatant though.
why would you still propagate the myth that the Titans threw a forward pass in the Music City Miracle? Come on, dude.
For Steelers it should have been the Jerome Bettis call were he called tails and the refs said he said heads.
For Raiders it should have been the call were the refs made up a play that Bradys arm was moving so it wasn't a fumble
I was thinking about that botched coin toss for the Steelers that cost them the Thanksgiving game to the Lions but technically it wasn't a penalty. It did lead to a rule change that ended calling the coin toss in the air.
I’m a packers fan and yes I was in 1st grade and didn’t want to go to school I was so mad

How about the most controversial 2019 PI calls that should’ve been reversed by a challenge but wasn’t
Nobody knows what PI is anymore, they call PI even when ball is uncatchable
Not only that but they won’t call OPI when the receiver pushes off either. No point of challenging,
Even announcer in the game yesterday said there’s no point of challenging
Who’s here after the 1970 NFC Divisional Playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers & the Minnesota Vikings ?
The Bert Emanuel no catch-catch during the NFC conference game was the worst missed call in buccaneers history.
The refs hate the bucs. It happens every week.
They don't like the Lions much either.
The refs won’t hate the bucs any more, because they got Tom Brady
Interested to see how far back you have to go for the patriots missed penalty
Matthew Tate Could’ve easily gotten a couple from the chiefs game. The only reason the Chiefs stayed in the game was bc of a pick thrown by Tom Brady which shouldn’t have even happened do to an illegal block and a blindside hit on a defenseless receiver call.
Matthew Tate you could also put in the super bowl they lost on 08 when Vince wilfork was being held from behind while trying to sack manning on a fourth down when David tyree had his catch
Matthew Tate they could have put a lot more on there for the pats
Dude the Vikings was even further back and also this channel sucks and is clearly biased against the patriots

It’s called a stiff arm
Mr.X bruh what are you on lmao. Have you even watched it
He did that because HE was getting face masked and it would be offset
As a lions fan I’d call the green bay game the worst against us but in the 2014 playoffs we lost our game to the cowboys due to a bad call. That ones the worst because people say stafford hasn’t done anything in the playoffs but really he should have that one win
I would have chosen the following for these teams:
Falcons: 2016 vs Seattle, no call on Sherman for PI
Texans: any bad call in the Mexico MNF game vs raiders
Patriots: the picked up flag at the end of the game against Carolina in 2013 on MNF
Steelers: 2005 AFC championship, Troy Polamalu robbed of an int that should have been called a fumble that he recovered
Buccaneers: Burt Emmanuel no catch in the 1999 NFC championship
Browns: Phantom PI call in the end zone in 2013 vs Patriots
Jets: Austin Sefarian Jenkins “touchback” in 2017 vs Patriots
Jaguars: same game discussed in the video, but it’s the missed fumble call instead
Seahawks: any bad call in super bowl 40
49ers: 2013 NFC championship, missed roughing the kicker call and missed fumble recovery at the 1.
The worst call ever: tuck rule
You can say it was the worst "rule" ever, but the correct "call" was made
@@bryantoliveira2813 Yeah, the Pats actually had the first ever "tuck rule" call go AGAINST them in a game against the Jets that year (which is why Belichick knew about it).
Bryant Oliveira actually it was still the incorrect call. It stops counting as an incomplete pass once the ball is either held with 2 hands, or goes all the way back to the quarterbacks chest, and if you look it up you can see a clear picture of Brady holding it with 2 hands against his chest. And even if it was exactly at his chest yet or maybe one handed was just hovering over the ball, it was still way too close for them to overturn the call (they initially ruled it a fumble)
@DiabolousSpiritus can u take a joke imma bears fan still sad abt da double doink
Patriots: We gotta dig deep into the past for this one.
Inaren Commander there are so many they could have done. Super bowl 08 Vince wilfork gets held on the helmet catch. Cost them the super bowl.
I thought that too! Fuck the cheatriots
Probably in the Brady era, worst would be that picked up PI flag against the Carolina Panthers at the very end of the game.
@@bullshark3771 But the majority of judgment calls swing in the Patriots favor.
The Fail Mary Play Was So Crazy Especially With Golden Tate Not Getting a Pass Interference Call Before The Catch/INT!
Titans' worst missed call came when they were the Oilers, in the 1979 AFC Championship Game. Mike Renfroe clearly got his feet in bounds for what should have been a game-tying, 3rd quarter touchdown. The entire crew of officials huddled in the end zone for a LONG time, until finally incorrectly ruling the pass was incomplete. That totally changed the game from that point on, and the Steelers went on to add to their lead and win the game to advance to Super Bowl XIV.
The browns game was 2019

As a Bears fan, it's either the "kick catch interference" call on Cordarelle Patterson, or the Zach Miller TD that ended his career.
I’m a Chiefs fan, and I’ll say that you guys got it wrong with Buffalo. The Music City Miracle was a lateral, not a forward pass. What cost the Bills in that game was starting Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie.
The garbage blindside block vs Houston in the wild card game was a more legitimate beef…
Patriots involved in like half of these😂😂🤦♂️
And overwhelmingly in their favor. Huge surprise...
For browns i think it should have been when after the browns got the first down the ran another play the The Jacksonville coach threw a challenge flag on if they got the first down the play was over turned you know the rest☹️
Tornado Tristan was just about to say the same for the browns
the_ sphnix are you a browns fan
@@Tristywisty.18 Bottle gate!!
It sounds like a no...
Tornado Tristan It’s called the “Beer Game”
OK, maybe I'm wrong about the rules here, but I'm pretty sure the "instant replay" game was the correct ruling. If you watch the slowed-down replay from the game, you can clearly see that Majkowski steps *on* -- but not over -- the line of scrimmage, and only puts his foot down on the far side of the line after the ball is already out of his hands. Unless I'm completely wrong about how "across the line of scrimmage" is defined, Majkowski's pass would seem to be legal. It was just shocking at the time because no one had ever experienced having a call overturned like that before.
Also, I think the 2020 NFC Championship probably edges out the Fail Mary for the Packers' worst case (specifically the Sean Murphy-Bunting interception -- he clearly held and pulled Allen Lazard before he made the pick, so the interception should have been overturned by a PI call, and that accounted for a likely point swing that more than covers the margin the Packers lost by), especially since the refs then went and made the exact opposite call against Green Bay on a very similar play later in the game, but that's obviously not the fault of the video since it hadn't happened yet when this was made.
The Music City Miracle was a lateral. Fight me.
I agree with you
But can I still fight you?
8:35 "it sailed out of bounds" clearly lands in bounds and with int range of cooks if he has full speed and wasn't stopped
