Great review! Found this video just after ordering the Dual Venture after having the Rallz on back order all of last year. Looking forward to trying it out this summer!
Super Tenere,, Motaz Tractionator ADV rear and TKC80 Front. It was my perfect setup since the Motaz Tractionator ADV became available in the US years ago. Looks like the TKC80 front is no longer an option, cant find it anywhere. If this is the next best thing....just need to find a place in LA that sell these.
I have them in-stock here in SoCal. I would recommend the new Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ front tire. It is fantastic. Better than the TKC80! www.Manybikes.biz is where I have them listed.
@@manybikes How are the Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ on the rain grooves? I believe you mentioned the Motoz DV front was not affected at all, no wobble whatsoever. Is the same true for the Mitas? I am looking for the best on road performance as they both most likely will easily meet my offroad needs as they are so similar to the TKC80. Also, I contacted Chaparral Motorsports for availability, however, they wont let me make an appointment to instal them, its first come, first serve. Another great review! Current setup is the Motoz adventure rear and a tkc80 front on my Africa Twin Adv Sports. And I finally found the dual venture online and ordered one! Cant wait to give it a go once the current setup is worn out. I had to order from an American website cause I haven’t found any North of the border here in Canada yet, and didn’t want to wait lol looking forward to testing it out, great to see the mileage it’s getting.
@@manybikes this is the best part of your review videos, all of them in fact, how responsive you are to the comments!! Thank you! I can’t wait for the next 5-6 months of winter/spring to be done here in Northern Canada to wear out my current setup to get these on!! Lol 😂
Hi Kyle, Shane from down under, riding a T7 with some serious off road but also big road miles, sometimes twisty. I tried motoz ADV front and rear, found the front, while good off road had no stability and on tight sealed road corners (low speed leaned over) would tip in to the point I felt I was going to drop the bike, this happened many times. On bigger radius corners (higher speeds) the tyres performed OK when warmed up. So I will never get the front again but liked the rear, a lot. I know it's common to match the ADV rear with another branded front for similar type riding. Was thinking this would be the way to go until I saw these dualADV front tyres. So that's what I will do next tyre change. Dual front and ADV read combo.
Nice!! I do love the AX41 tires. I just wish they lasted longer. The DV tread depth is about double that of the AX41. You will find the DV does not turn in as quickly as the AX41 ... but not many 50/50+ tires do! I am curious as to what you think after you run them.
Hay Ya.....Totally gonna try it. I have been using the TKC80 front sine the bike was new in 2018. Two years ago I put a GPS on the rear (its still good). As I am in need of a new front I'll try the DV. I know the TKC80 well, how it lasts and how it cups. I'll be a great fun to see how they compare....Cheers from CANADA!
Thank you for your really great reviews! How could you compare DV vs Adv for front tyre? I plan to put Motoz Tract. Adv for rare and wonder which one to put for front on my GS 850 adv
The Tractionator Adventure was discontinued in the USA and we only have the Dual Venture as the replacement. I find the Dual Venture better in the dirt / mud and it is less wiggly in our rain groves. I also like the fact the DV is reversible which allows me to get 10k per tire!
Decisions. Decisions... If mileage is not a consideration, run the RallZ! If you want more miles and for your rear to wear out at the same time as your front, probably the Adventure rear. Can't go wrong really. I'd love to hear what you decide and why!! Cheers, Kyle
I really like the Dual Venture front. I got 9k out of it… swapped to the Karoo 4 then put it back on for another 3k miles! The key was rotating it every 1200 to 1500k miles. Now for the rear… pair it with the Motoz Adv for long miles and great traction.
On the 1190 Adv R I can ride as fast as I can / want without any issue. They work great. They are a little less dirt oriented than the RallZ front but they are 100% better on the pavement.
Great review Kyle! I own a T7 and i use MotoZ Tractionator Adventure rear but i am between the MotoZ DV and Michelin Anakee Wild for the front .Which you consider better overall (Noise, longevity, dirt, touring, braking etc)...?
Thank you for your inquiry. The Anakee Wild is a littler louder but is a bit more "dirt oriented" and has some noise and some wiggle on the highway. Mostly due to the sipped sidewalls and angled lugs think. The Dual Venture (in my testing) is quieter, is more stable and lasts longer as it is reversible. Some T7 riders say the Dual Venture is all over the place... other say it is stable. I think that has a lot to do with balance and suspension set-up. They are both great tires.
@@manybikes thank you very much for the quick response! I have just ordered the DV, just to test it! I am seeking the 'unicorn'' compo for touring, street, dirt, TET, every day use, with long mileage. Thank you!
I have been running the IRC TR8 front tire on my Tiger 800(Shinko E805/TCK80/Motoz Traction ADV (thanks Kyle!) and on my WR250R with an MT21 on the rear. The IRC works very well on both bikes, which is interesting as the WR gets out in the really slick wet and muddy stuff and the Tiger is in the more dry but rocky (Baby Heads) and loose mountain trails. I would be interested in hearing how the IRC TR8 stacks up against the Motoz Tractionator Dual Venture Tire.
Very nice! I have not ever run the IRC TR8 but it looks like a much more knobby aggressive tire that the other ADV style tires. More like the original Scorpion Rally tire. I'll have to check it out. Thank you for the suggestion.
The profile doesn’t seem particularly curved. How does it go on the twisties on road? I’m on an Africa Twin and was looking at the TKC80 front and TKC70 Rocks rear and am wondering if a Dual Adventure Front and Tractionator Adventure Rear would give me better all-round performance. Particularly in the wet and on road where I push harder.
Great questions. The TKC70 Rocks is a fantastic tire and is on two of my bikes at the moment. It is a better tire than the Shinko E805 hands down in all aspects. I have run them side by side recently and was amazed at how well the Rocks performed in wet, muddy and cold conditions in comparison! The Dual Venture front is an improvement over the TKC80 in my opinion. The Tractionator Adventure will do better in deep mud or deep sand than the TKC70 Rocks, but that is about it... It sounds like your perfect combo would be a Dunlop TrailMax Mission Front and a 70Rocks in the rear...
Tried to contact and order from Motocity. Couldn't get through and no answer on the phone. Ordered from RockyMountain. Really appreciate your reviews and expertise. Next month I'll be ordering tires for the KTM 690😊😊
23 Husqvarna 701 enduro running the stock TKC 80s. The only thing I hate about these tires is the wobble in the front I experience in sand and loose gravel. I’m looking to solve that and retain the street characteristics if possible. Is the DV my next?
Great review Kyle!, thanks. Would like to know what differences you think are between the Adventure and the Dual Venture...thinking on a future change on my 1290 SAR, normaly doing 50/50 riding, or maybe 60/40...😅
Great question. Both the DV tire and the Adv front tire are rated as 70/30 tires 70% Off Road and 30% On Road. Honestly I think (has not yet been announced to me... but I think) the Adventure front tire will go away in the near future. The wiggle that many experience on the Adventure tire that made them move to the TKC80 front tire while running the Adventure rear tire is not present with the DV tire and I THINK it will replace the Adv front tire in the future. That is my gut feeling. The Dual Venture I have found to roll just as smooth as the Adv front tire and the DV is quieter fully aired up and when aired down. The larger gaps on the DV allow it to clean out better and to get better downhill bite when on the brakes. Overall, I think it is a better tire than the ADV. I would classify it as 1/2 way between the RallZ and the Adventure fronts... but Motoz has given it the same rating as the ADV. I say you give the DV a shot!
Hello Kyle, I own a Gasgas ES 700 with tkc 80's. Can you tell me, which Motoz front tire provides more side bite and control in the dirt and which Motoz rear tire more forward traction, please? I was thinking about Motoz Rallz in the front and the Adventure in thre rear, but now I may tend to buy the DV for the front. What do you think about it? By the way, the tires shouldn't be too loud on the tarmac. Thank you. Like your channel very much.
Thanks for your support! I’d recommend the RallZ in the rear and either the Rallz or the DV up front. The Rallz front is amazing off-road but I’m not a big fan of it on the pavement. I’d recommend you try the Dual Venture. I think you will be pleased. Regarding noise, if you air them up on the highway they aren’t noisy at all… aired down, they hum like a mud truck tire.
What are your thoughts on this front tire versus the RallZ? I'm heavily leaning towards some MotOz tires for my DR650 -- still debating ADV or RallZ. If I went with the RallZ I could get a full set (21" front, 17" rear). Both look like they'd grip better than what I currently have on there. If I went with the ADV I'd probably have to get the DV since they don't have a 21" ADV front. Mileage/lifespan between the DV and RallZ front? Do they handle that differently? Which one is softer? The reversible tread seemed appealing, but hearing you say it's not worth doing in this video has me wondering now.
The 21” ADV front has been replaced by the DV. The RallZ is my favorite rear tire. The ADV is less aggressive and gets 2k-ish more miles than the Rallz but… I like it way better. If I were riding ONLY dirt the Rallz front would be my choice. If on pavement, the DV is my choice as it’s a way more road stable tire. Now I’ve gotten over 7k miles out of the DV front tire. I needed to swap it every 1500 miles or so towards the end. Totally worth it. The 300 miles after the swap are horrible off-road… but on road it’s fine. The tire then becomes “like new” for another 1k to 1500 miles. Pretty neat. It’s a great tire.
@@manybikes I somehow missed your response originally. Thank you for your input! It really does help. Heavily leaning towards the Rallz for the rear, but will still think over my front tire choice over the winter.
Your Motoz videos are awesome - thanks heaps. I’m torn between what tires to put on my V-Strom 650. It is largely used as a daily commuter but I do like to do gravel roads/light adventure riding on weekends. I think the GPS on the back makes the most sense but want some more confidence in the front end when off road - would you recommend the ADV or the DV for my 50/50 set up. Thanks again
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching. I would recommend the GPS in the rear and the DV up front. When you are ready to purchase, I can get them for you. Just contact me on IG or FG and we can get it going.
The Motoz Adventure front tire will be smoother on the pavement, a touch quieter and maybe 10% less aggressive in the dirt. Overall the Dual Venture is my new GoTo tire to pair with ALL of the Motoz rear tires. It is the only Motoz front that I can travel over 120 mph on without handlebar shake. Check this out: ruclips.net/video/fV9l0rIxebM/видео.html
Does this tire wobble or weave a lot like some say? Looking to use this on front and the adventure on the rear on my new AT? Looking for anyone experience or advice with this combo on a AT
For some it does wobble but for most it does not. I have not experienced the wobble on the Dual Venture in 7 tires on 4 different bikes, 4 tubeless and 3 tube type. I think balance and shock set up plays a role.
I’ve heard so many bad reviews of this tire wandering badly snd not lasting long. I was thinking of pairing a read Tractionator Adventure with a front AX41 or TKC80. What do you think about that? I’m thinking I may get a 1 for 1 replacement since the TKC80 will wear faster, but also be stickier on the pavement.
The Dual Venture has been great for me. I’ve run two of the Tubeless and a Tube Type. I’ve run the AX41 and the RallZ together. Great combo. The AX41 is a fantastic tire.
No, haven’t been at MotoCity since January. I’m back in California. I sell Motoz tires direct. Reach out on IG @Manybikes or on FB Kyle Bradshaw and I’ll get them to you!
Have you ever seen any issues with the front getting a bit of an oscillating hop with the dual venture. I just had it put on and the front end is like a mini pogo stick at 40mph and above, I haven't had the problem on my 1290 with any of the other from tires I have run. If I can't get it to calm down I am going to have to switch it out for something else possibly an anakee wild or a tkc
@@manybikes , thx for your vidéo. Also very interested with the subject : Tiger 900 Rally Pro, 13.000 km in Europe( 90% road ) with Bridgestone Adventurecross ax41 for two times. Very impressive on road and soft offroad ( no mud, no wet grass : excellent; lot of mud or very wet grass: 🤣).
Have RallZ set on my ‘20 690 Enduro R, definitely tests the steering damper on grooved highway, but really great combination of off-road, asphalt twisties and wear rate (bought based on the old super test video), I was thinking it was the heavy duty tubes and rim lock that was contributing to the stability issues, compared to the stock TKC80 setup… Tempted to try this on the front next as it sounds like you don’t give up much. What tubes did you run on the 950, and did you run a bead lock?
Thanks for sharing! Yes, the wiggle is due to several issues I have found. #1 the lugs being that much taller than the other 50/50+ tires out there, they move or squirm more. #2 Most of the Motoz fronts have split lugs and I think the lugs move opposite one another and that accentuates the wiggle. #3 I have found suspension setting to make a HUGE difference on the amount of wiggle is present. On my 950 I run Heavy Duty Tubes but do not have a rim lock, just the tubes. I have not had any issues in the 10 years and 40k miles. I just tubed the 1190 as I can not get the stock tubeless wheel to keep air in the tire... it will be interesting to see if anything changes!
I want to try this for sure.. Have rallz front & rear, love em, but learned I can twerk better than any jamaican dance hall lady on my klr at 70mph, thanks!🤙
I have not noticed a difference between the two as they are both really quiet. The TKC is very quite as compared to its counterparts! And the DV I did not notice road noise either.
In terms of offroad handling, where do these fall between the Adventure and Rallz? The Adventures claim to be slightly more dirt biased spec wise but these look more dirt worthy to me? Thanks for the review!

I'm a guide/instructor and usually run RallZ front and back. Until I tried the DV recently. For my money it is superior to the Adventure and the RallZ fronts for both sport riding and off road. It worked perfectly through Baja tours and Anza Borrego riding, then handled wonderfully on the twisty pavement roads as well. It performed very well on 2 days of rain and snow mud on the Compadre Trail. I've used most of the big bike knobbys over time and the DV is my favorite (2014 R1200 GSAdv)
Hi - was this running TL or with a tube? I (and others) cannot get my Adventure TL tyre to hold air (very slow leak from around the bead) and even though I am an Aussie this makes me reluctant to buy the Motoz front again
I ran the tubeless tire with a tube. I have had that leak around the bead on my 1190 with the last three tires (Mitas E10, TKC80 and DV)... its not the tire in my opinion.
@@manybikes - recently replaced the Motoz Adventure because it was completely cupped out with a BATTLAX ADVENTURECROSS AX41 TL on the 790 - no more leaks. When that one is done, I might (just might) give the DV a go on new rims I have sitting in the shed.
Hi Kyle, really enjoy your videos. Hopefully you have time for a quick question. I ride a 1250 GSA and will be taking some off-road adventure courses this year. I am also planning a couple longer highway trips that will involve about 1k miles of pavement each but I'd like to hit some off road when possible. Currently I live in the DFW area, so there aren't many good off-road opportunities outside of going to OHV parks. All that considered, and I know it's a lot, would you recommend the Motoz DV front and Adventure rear or a Dunlop TrailMax Mission front/rear set for my GSA? Thanks!
Thanks for your inquiry. The Motoz DV front and Adventure rear will be the more aggressive off-road and on-road they will perform great... very similar to the Mission. I really like the Motoz for a dual purpose ADV tire.
I think you mean well, but I am not convinced you don't have a clue what is going on with front tires or any tire for that matter. You seem to post a lot of videos, but how much off-road experience do you really have to be able to offer any realistic advice on any tire? But, then again most people wouldn't know the difference...

We all know y we like the big adv bikes...need for speed... Same , would like to know characteristics difference between adv and the dual venture
@@manybikes was wondering to spoon them on myself and try balance beads. No experience if they actually work or not. Have you?
Wondering how these tires would be on a gen3 KLR. Will have to do some research on this.
They are perfect on your bike. They’ve been run on all Gens of KLR’s at this point.
Thanks for the reply. I will see if I can find a set soon. I have 1600 on the stock tire so it won’t be long now
@@Trevorburk1 I’ve got them available when you are ready.
Are you still at Moto City, or is there somewhere else we should buy from in order to give you some credit/kickback?
No, haven’t been at MotoCity since January. I’m back in California. I sell Motoz tires direct. Reach out on IG @Manybikes or on FB Kyle Bradshaw and I’ll get them to you!
@@manybikes Will do. Thanks Kyle.
I have run two of them now and they have been super smooth. I have not felt any ocillating or hopping.
Running TKC80s on Rally Raid wheels on a 14' CB500X...weight is an issue for most other tires. What to the Motoz weigh in comparison?
The Motoz DV is 10 lbs 6oz and TKC80 same size is 9 lbs 4 oz. The sidewall of the DV is substantially more robust.
@@manybikes , thx for your vidéo. Also very interested with the subject : Tiger 900 Rally Pro, 13.000 km in Europe( 90% road ) with Bridgestone Adventurecross ax41 for two times. Very impressive on road and soft offroad ( no mud, no wet grass : excellent;
lot of mud or very wet grass: 🤣).
What tube setup did you use in the rear of 1190?
I want to try this for sure.. Have rallz front & rear, love em, but learned I can twerk better than any jamaican dance hall lady on my klr at 70mph, thanks!🤙
For sure!!! Like the Rallz on the front of the 1190 at the beginning of this video ;(
Nice review! What is the road noise difference between tkc80 and motoz dv?
I have not noticed a difference between the two as they are both really quiet. The TKC is very quite as compared to its counterparts! And the DV I did not notice road noise either.
@@manybikes ok thanks
In terms of offroad handling, where do these fall between the Adventure and Rallz? The Adventures claim to be slightly more dirt biased spec wise but these look more dirt worthy to me? Thanks for the review!
Great question. Both the DV tire and the Adv front tire are rated as 70/30 tires 70% Off Road and 30% On Road. Honestly I found The Dual Venture I have found to roll just as smooth as the Adv front tire and the DV is quieter fully aired up and when aired down. The larger gaps on the DV allow it to clean out better and to get better downhill bite when on the brakes. Overall, I think it is a better tire than the ADV. I would classify it as 1/2 way between the RallZ and the Adventure fronts... but Motoz has given it the same rating as the ADV.
@@manybikes thanks so much, that's really helpful, I think I know the route I'm going now.
Awesome!
@@skinutkelly love this feedback. I too am digging this tire.
Pretty sweet bikes🤣
Oh yeah!!!
@@mosa4688 sounds crazy. Bummer to hear of your leak. Happy to hear the AX41 fixed it. Much softer!
With that review, why would anyone buy a front motoz adventure tire?
Just speaking my findings... But good question ;)
Well, thanks for watching. What are your feelings on the tire?
