Thanks for the video!!! very accurate and everything done step by step. I would like to know, in w213 (the car you posted a video about), do we have only one battery? or 2 (AGM). if 2, where can I find it? where it is located? Thanks in advance.
I have a question. The e300e / e350 /e300de electric flap latch is broken, can I only repair that part? I would appreciate it if you let me know the part number.
Thank you for watching. Some vehicles need to go through a registration process upon installing a new battery. We would recommend consulting your dealer or a mechanic to verify if your vehicle needs it.
Thanks for watching. In this video the memory saver is connected to another battery. You could also use a memory saver that connects to the OBDII port in your vehicle.
Great idea to use a surrogate battery to keep power to the electrical systems! One thing you didn't mention is the battery has two venting holes, you connected the venting tube to negative terminal (left hand drive car), did you remove the vent plug from the positive terminal or leave it inserted? My original factory installed Mercedes battery still has the vent plug inserted in the positive terminal side.
Thank you for your informative video. I want to ask you about a problem we are having in E300 (W213) 2018. The parking pilot and hold function sometimes work and sometimes not. We changed both the auxiliary battery and main battery and after the changes they work but in the next day the problem comes back. The dealership was of no help. They had the car for around 10 days and cost around $800 and they are not sure of the cause!
Hi - You're welcome and thanks for watching! One person's personal opinion here thinks that the dealership should have communicated with the module that controls those functions and used the diagnostic tool's bi-directional feature to try to engage the hold function and pilot. They could then determine if there is a module problem, an actuator problem or a communication (wiring) problem.
@@TheBatteryShop Thank you very much for your reply. Going to the dealership again would be like gambling because as soon as the car go inside their workshop they charge around $400 which would be kind of fine if they fix the problem ($400 for diagnostic tool check only. Unfortunately, we have one Mercedes dealership in our country). However, I have shown your comment to another workshop and they are suspecting the problem either from the radars or the wiring. They can fix the radars but not the wiring as they said they don't have the full diagram of the new models. However, currently, their workshop is full and they want us to leave the car for at least 3 days. I will update this comment once the problem is solved for reference for people who might face the same issue.
Hi - Thanks for watching! Some vehicles require this. We recommend that you check the vehicle owner's manual or a service/repair manual for the vehicle to be sure. You may also like to check out our videos on battery registration. The links are in this video's description.
Hi - Thanks for watching! We think there is some confusion on the model name. The Mercedes’s E300 was not manufactured until 1995. This was equipped with a 3.0L Diesel engine and takes a H8 at 825 CCA. In 1991 it was a 300E, There were 2 engine sizes available, the 2.6L and 3.0L. Both of these take a H6 group size at 550 CCA.
The 2020 E350 has a Mercedes P/N 001-982-82-08 installed from factory. Specs are 12V, 92AH, 850 CCA, RC 160 min, AGM. It is identical to an H8, Group 49, LN5 Battery size.
Hi - Thanks for watching! We recommend that you follow the diagnostic procedures found in a service/repair manual for the vehicle to determine the cause of the auxiliary battery malfunction.

I connected the wire as described and it started to smoke and was about to end up with catastrophic situation. I’d rater lose the radio memory than burning my vehicle.. useless video 👎🏼 or at least didn’t work for me despite of following the instructions step by step
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your experience! We suggest that you consult a service/repair manual for the vehicle to track down the wiring problem.
What exactly started to smoke, the wire or the battery. If the wire, then you probably used wire that was too thin (hence it starts overheating). If the battery then you either connected the wires incorrectly (switching plus and minus) or you have a defective battery. Either way, there is nothing wrong with the instructions in this video. So before you call something useless, do check if *you* did everything correctly.

My 2016 Eclass installation is different and much easier. Auxiliary battery in the trunk saves the memory.
