They need to change the laws so that churches can't get away with this. If you bring in a certain amount as a church, you should pay taxes accordingly. You use "volunteers" to play music and then record and sell that music? You should be paying taxes on the income made and be required to pay the musicians.

I wish the worse on people who use religion to scam older people out of their life savings. These are people who are very susceptible to these types of scams because they are at the end of the lives and want to get right with God and these "pastors" know that and prey on it. In the past I've seen people like Charlamagne and others say stupid stuff like "What's wrong with a a pastor getting paid and having nice things?" when these people are brought up and I honestly think it's a bit of self snitching on how messed up your morals have to be to believe that. Tithes, offerings, donations, etc. are supposed to be used to support the church and the community. Not buy the pastor a Benz and private jets to go on vacation. The church is supposed to have God at the center and by misappropriating these funds pastors are putting themselves at the center instead. Ironically it's as if they've never heard of the golden calf.
