@@kooz7553 Just to be clear Bipolar is a lot more serious than most people think. Pills help prevent episodes of straight up horrific behaviors like in this video but they also remove a lot of the drive that pushes somebody to that sub 1% of achievers. There's a lot going on mentally when you strip both sides of that away. Hopefully he can stay stable for the sake of the people around him now. There's lifelong trauma a many of his victims will never really get over, that list is a lot longer than just what a youtube video can cover as well. To put it simply, lifelong recovery from Bipolar Disorder is being willing to accept a completely different personality as yourself AND understanding you'll never reach the highs you did before. Oh, and the kicker? You probably don't remember any of the really bad stuff because it's common not to remember episodes... so this time when you're feeling "normal" you REALLY don't need the pills and it'll be okay. tl:dr Bipolar is something to be treated very seriously.

If you ever see a video with a large and ugly border around it, with the actual video only taking up the centre of the screen, that is also to dodge flagging. RUclips bots will automatically flag straight reuploads, but if the footage is sufficiently altered they won't notice. As for airline food, your sense of smell is reduced on a plane due to pressure, and smell is a large part of the taste of food. Thus, anything you eat on a plane tastes much blander than it would on the ground.

As someone who has had to intervene in a family members abusive relationship I can tell you that abusers are very adept at manipulation and using people's good natures against them.
No amount of meds would have helped him because for many years he had several partners, many friends and colleagues as well as his fanbase all reinforcing the idea that his mental health excused him from any responsibility and accountability. I don't care how mentally ill someone is they are accountable for their own actions and their responsibilities are still theirs...shielding them from such most certainly doesn't help regardless of intent.

Exactly!! Friends should also hold you accountable imo. Having a friend who will always be honest with you and say “no you were 100% in the wrong here” is SO IMPORTANT. I suffer a lot with mental health and while I may use it to help explain my thoughts when I did or said something I’ll still 100% take responsibility for it and make sure to to try learn from it. That’s the big difference
i suffer from mental health issues and was once in a very dark place and at a point even emotionally abusive to friends and a romantic partner. nowhere to the extent of adam of course but i was far from a pleasant person to be around. what helped me finally escape and heal was finally recognizing that I WAS NOT THE VICTIM. at least not anymore. i once was. similar to adam, i had faced some horrendous trauma in my past. but i had become the same as the people who had hurt me before, and what saved me was realizing that i was 100% in the wrong. i grew up watching skydoesminecraft, and watching them spiral further and further and further down at the same time as i was in the middle of my path to recovery was just tragic. i wish adam could’ve done the same. i wish they would’ve taken accountability for themselves and began on the path back to the light. i really wish they could’ve. but they actively chose not to. at every opportunity for help that was given, it was thrown down. i hope one day they can realize this but tbh they may be too far gone…
I think the saddest part about all of this is that Liz also posted more content at some point talking about the OTHER horrible shit he did to her. As a kid I idolized Sky, I'd watch every single one of his videos after school to help deal with bullying and stress, and he inspired me to make videos of my own (obviously they weren't good or successful, but I had fun doing it), and I really wanted to be a part of his crew when I got older. Heartbreaking to see what he was really like in person.
Same, almost every youtuber I looked up to and wanted to be like as a child ended up being a shitty person. its a hard thing to confront, but we can still take the good from the experiences we had watching them.

Guy reminds me of my girlfriends EX, nearly word for word, from the types of abuse, living conditions, manipulation, two-faced, instigator, and too flip it all around on my girlfriend. Turns out he had bi-polar and some other personality disorders, WAS the real attacker, and also managed to st^b someone nearly 40 times, and set the house on fire. This is all over the course of 6 years, lying to EVERYBODY. People like that can’t be trusted and need serious medical care or monitoring

Idk where people are getting the idea that he was affected by it either he simply just lost views over time because of other creators taking views like many other OG minecraft youtubers. Chimneyswift is a good example. He's pretty big on twitch and he gets asked every single day what happened to him but he's still making content to this day. I think we all kinda just get distracted by life and forget people for a while. Doesn't mean they are gone.

I used to watch skydoesminecraft everyday religiously as a kid. so sad to see how far hes fallen :( i did see he put out a video explaining that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. America **NEEDS** a better mental healthcare system. most of this could have probably been prevented if he got the help he needed.
oh if he had schizophrenia then I'd totally be willing to give him another chance if he sobered up and got properly medicated. schizophrenia is horrible and while it's not entirely an excuse for his actions, he's really just not himself while he's like that. definitely deserves another chance imo.

i usually agree, especially after years of smoking. that being said, in my first months of smoking, i tried a frosted glass bong for the first time. i took a huge rip, with my only previous experiences being a pipe and a broken plastic bong. i died and coughed out of existence. i found out later that i did things that i actually didn’t even remember. at some point i went into the field and started running around. don’t remember. i went to go get something from my friends house, and got lost in his backyard (it was huge with lots of trees). i was gone for like 30 min apparently, felt like 5. there are times where it can fuck you up lmao.

Weed affects everyone differently. If you have underlying mental health issues, smoking weed can make the symptoms so much worse. Hence, if you do have mental psychosis issues and want to treat it with weed, you should do so under the care of a professional. There's also a chance he or someone else spiked the weed with another substance.

Drive me to my breaking point then record it as a gotcha moment that I was the crazy one and i was the one in the wrong, when he'd be the one hitting himself in the face saying he'd off himself bc of me, pulling weapons himself just bc i wanted to leave, among other terrible things he did. I can only imagine what kinds of awful things happened between them. 15:50 Post Malone was friends in high school with Minecraft Universe, and when he moved to California to live in the team crafted house, Post tagged along to work on his music in LA. Also, SubZeroExabyte having been 15 when working on the videos is INSANE. I remember he was always in the background holding the backend of the servers together, and always typed in chat. I always imagined he was an IT friend they’d hired. After team crafted dissolved, the only one I kept up with afterwards was SSundee, and I’m glad that he managed to stay out of any controversies. Even though his current content is really sad to see, he’s the one who benefitted the most from splitting off and going solo.
I loved SSundee's old videos, but I remember he dropped a video where he was preaching his religion, and that rubbed me the wrong way because he had a majority child audience. (Video is called "i love ya dudes...") He seemed to have good intentions, but it was gross to watch. Like, why make a video preaching that your religion is better than others to your child audience? Or imply to those same kids that they will go to Hell if they don't believe it, too?

He made a line graph of Good vs. Bad and heavily implied, if not outright stating, that people who do not believe in Christianity will end up in Hell (aka the Bad section). To make it absolutely clear, my main problem isn't that he is religious or passionate about his beliefs. It's that he chose to make a preachy, religious video towards his child audience. What is the point of making that video? Especially since he was aware of who his audience is - what is the point? And it is made worse when, at the end, he made it guilt trippy and holier-than-thou when he (paraphrased) said, "I love you, so I'm trying to save you by telling you about my religion instead of letting you go to the bad place." Is he as bad as other creators we'd see on any list? Absolutely not. But did he create a predatory video? Yes, and I will whole-heartedly admit that I have no reason to believe it was made with bad intentions; but the deep discontect in the video, his content type, and his audience (who were mainly young teens/kids) is what makes it inappropriate.

I used to watch Sky a lot during middle school. I watched him as much as Smosh and PewDiePie back 12 years ago. He's part of the reason I got so invested in Minecraft, at least before I started watching more mature creators like B-Team, Sethbling, and AntVenom. I remember when things started turning sour between him and Alesa but I never really paid attention to any of it. I just sort of stopped watching him, not knowing what really became of all the controversy. Even today I still don't really know what happened at the time, but I think it's time that I actually find out. EDIT: You know, in a lot of ways he's like Mini Ladd. @@kooz7553 Just to be clear Bipolar is a lot more serious than most people think. Pills help prevent episodes of straight up horrific behaviors like in this video but they also remove a lot of the drive that pushes somebody to that sub 1% of achievers. There's a lot going on mentally when you strip both sides of that away. Hopefully he can stay stable for the sake of the people around him now.
There's lifelong trauma a many of his victims will never really get over, that list is a lot longer than just what a youtube video can cover as well.
To put it simply, lifelong recovery from Bipolar Disorder is being willing to accept a completely different personality as yourself AND understanding you'll never reach the highs you did before. Oh, and the kicker? You probably don't remember any of the really bad stuff because it's common not to remember episodes... so this time when you're feeling "normal" you REALLY don't need the pills and it'll be okay.

If you ever see a video with a large and ugly border around it, with the actual video only taking up the centre of the screen, that is also to dodge flagging. RUclips bots will automatically flag straight reuploads, but if the footage is sufficiently altered they won't notice. As for airline food, your sense of smell is reduced on a plane due to pressure, and smell is a large part of the taste of food. Thus, anything you eat on a plane tastes much blander than it would on the ground.

I suffer a lot with mental health and while I may use it to help explain my thoughts when I did or said something I’ll still 100% take responsibility for it and make sure to to try learn from it. That’s the big difference
i suffer from mental health issues and was once in a very dark place and at a point even emotionally abusive to friends and a romantic partner. nowhere to the extent of adam of course but i was far from a pleasant person to be around. what helped me finally escape and heal was finally recognizing that I WAS NOT THE VICTIM. at least not anymore. i once was. similar to adam, i had faced some horrendous trauma in my past. but i had become the same as the people who had hurt me before, and what saved me was realizing that i was 100% in the wrong. i grew up watching skydoesminecraft, and watching them spiral further and further and further down at the same time as i was in the middle of my path to recovery was just tragic. i wish adam could’ve done the same. i wish they would’ve taken accountability for themselves and began on the path back to the light. i really wish they could’ve. but they actively chose not to. at every opportunity for help that was given, it was thrown down. i hope one day they can realize this but tbh they may be too far gone…

As a kid I idolized Sky, I'd watch every single one of his videos after school to help deal with bullying and stress, and he inspired me to make videos of my own (obviously they weren't good or successful, but I had fun doing it), and I really wanted to be a part of his crew when I got older. Heartbreaking to see what he was really like in person.

Weed affects everyone differently. If you have underlying mental health issues, smoking weed can make the symptoms so much worse. Hence, if you do have mental psychosis issues and want to treat it with weed, you should do so under the care of a professional. There's also a chance he or someone else spiked the weed with another substance.

Also, SubZeroExabyte having been 15 when working on the videos is INSANE. I remember he was always in the background holding the backend of the servers together, and always typed in chat. I always imagined he was an IT friend they’d hired.
After team crafted dissolved, the only one I kept up with afterwards was SSundee, and I’m glad that he managed to stay out of any controversies. Even though his current content is really sad to see, he’s the one who benefitted the most from splitting off and going solo.
I loved SSundee's old videos, but I remember he dropped a video where he was preaching his religion, and that rubbed me the wrong way because he had a majority child audience. (Video is called "i love ya dudes...") He seemed to have good intentions, but it was gross to watch.
Like, why make a video preaching that your religion is better than others to your child audience? Or imply to those same kids that they will go to Hell if they don't believe it, too?
@@theepicpop-tartcat that was a fine video to make imo. He’d been going through a rough patch with his wife and was about to divorce, and reconciled with Christianity. It was a bit preachy, but it definitely wasn’t a controversy to be put in a conversation with other Minecraft RUclipsrs.
He also never implied that anybody would go to hell if he didn’t listen to them… he just said that he gave his life to the lord and it healed his marriage.
@@Frostburn2716 No, I checked when I wrote the comment. He made a line graph of Good vs. Bad and heavily implied, if not outright stating, that people who do not believe in Christianity will end up in Hell (aka the Bad section).
To make it absolutely clear, my main problem isn't that he is religious or passionate about his beliefs. It's that he chose to make a preachy, religious video towards his child audience. What is the point of making that video? Especially since he was aware of who his audience is - what is the point? And it is made worse when, at the end, he made it guilt trippy and holier-than-thou when he (paraphrased) said, "I love you, so I'm trying to save you by telling you about my religion instead of letting you go to the bad place."
Is he as bad as other creators we'd see on any list? Absolutely not. But did he create a predatory video? Yes, and I will whole-heartedly admit that I have no reason to believe it was made with bad intentions; but the deep discontect in the video, his content type, and his audience (who were mainly young teens/kids) is what makes it inappropriate.

I used to watch Sky a lot during middle school. I watched him as much as Smosh and PewDiePie back 12 years ago. He's part of the reason I got so invested in Minecraft, at least before I started watching more mature creators like B-Team, Sethbling, and AntVenom. I remember when things started turning sour between him and Alesa but I never really paid attention to any of it. I just sort of stopped watching him, not knowing what really became of all the controversy. Even today I still don't really know what happened at the time, but I think it's time that I actually find out.
EDIT: You know, in a lot of ways he's like Mini Ladd. He talks like he's above everyone else, like what everyone else says negatively about him doesn't matter because it's just their perspective. Hearing his voice actually pisses me off. I guess this is just a common theme of these abusive POS.

If you look at his RUclips account now, it's obvious that his mental state is in constant decline. Even in his "Where have you been?" video, you can tell how much he has actually lost it. Genuinely heartbreaking, knowing that I grew up on him and everyone else involved. I can't believe this happened without my knowledge.
