  • After a 15-year hiatus, the ICA channel is back with an extraordinary journey to Scotland! This time, I brought along my 76-year-old mother and some of her grandchildren on an emotional quest to locate her great-grandfather's unmarked grave. George Walker Hendry tragically lost his life in 1887 while working on The Forth Bridge, and we set out to honor his memory.
In this first part of our Scotland series, we immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of this beautiful country. We stroll down the iconic Royal Mile, experience the breathtaking Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and pay our respects at the Tomb of Robert the Bruce.
But that's not all-subscribe now to follow the rest of our 2023 adventure, including our thrilling voyage through the Caledonian Canal. Stay tuned for the next episode, where we rent a boat and navigate the mysterious waters of Loch Ness!
Join us for a heartfelt exploration of our ancestral roots and the stunning landscapes of Scotland.

Eh-din-bra. It's not hard bud, did you not hear everyone pronounce it correctly from the moment you landed?

@@ichooseadventure In my opinion you have the right balance between humour, family and the broader historical and geographical aspects of your journeys back to the old country. Very entertaining.

Glad you found and saw the places where your ancestors were from. Your daughter was, however, confusing the Abbey with the castle. Though adjoining one another it was clear she was in a place of worship not a castle when she made the comment.
