AI is a total game changer. Wow, I am floored, inspired, and eager to start working with these generative tools. Thank you, Devlin for bringing these tools together and demonstrating them like this!!
This is my favorite video you’ve done so far. Had no idea that there were soooo many cool new things happening in the ID world. Thank you for laying these out!
This is absolutely mind-blowing! I immediately subscribed, and am going to share this with my content-creating team. I am sure they will just be as excited as I am. Thanks for your work. It is amazing.
Thanks for compiling this Devlin, really useful overview of emerging AI tools for IDs that absolutely will help ID and learning teams scale their content design & dev workflows and processes....especially on the grind work - and as you say, shifting the skillsets of designers on how to best use these tools. There are also critical issues around ethics and embedded bias in AI tools themselves that designers need to be cognisant of when using these tools. Very interesting times...
Woww.. my initial thinking is could be possible in the future to have an AI tool than can do storyboards and create a full training? Feeling rather scared of the future of ID. What are your thoughts about this?
Thanks, Devlin! This is very insightful indeed and showed a whole new avenue to the AI for IDs. I am trying to access Jasper but everytime I try to use a template it gives me the pricing option. Is it happening with you too?
I would love to see an update on these tools considering how fast they are growing! I am helping a friend develop her online courses and doesn't want to show her own image
This is a wonderful video to bring awareness about what AI tools are available for. IDs. What course would you recommend to improvise in writing AI prompts?
Thanks for watching! I'm not sure about courses yet, since these tools are pretty new, but this video might be helpful for what you're looking for :) ruclips.net/video/CETWfO_kNok/видео.htmlfeature=shared
The real you is always better, Devlin, but I can see how someone thought it was AI. I am really stoked by the tools you showcase in this video. I am definitely bringing some of these to my production team😎
Thank you for covering AI tech and programs, Devlin. There has been a lot of talk in our department regarding potential benefits of using such tools. There is a lot of controversy around AI generated imagery and how some developers may be feeding copyrighted images into their database, therefore bypassing copyright laws. If you have any details around this, I would love to know more. I simply would not be comfortable using tools that utilizes stolen property or data.
You're welcome, Stephen! Yes, I've seen those same discussions and am not sure how the issue will be resolved overall...I've seen it a lot especially in regards to DALL-E 2.
I respect these tools and admire their technological advances, but I don't know if I'm comfortable using them. I can still tell a difference between the earlier version of yourself and the refined AI. There's something missing. It doesn't have that warmth. I'm sure later generations won't care, and for some e-learning it's probably fine, but this Skynet reality is also very scary!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing! I can see many uses for these tools in my job. As a side note I'm a Game of Thrones fan, I think George RR Martin needs Jasper to complete his Song of Ice and Fire series!
Lol! I’ve seen clips from some entertaining AI-generated videos and they’re hilarious. Not sure if they will be up to George RR Martin’s standards though 😂
Wow. Also thinking about the massive possibites this would open for neurodivergent learners and learners with disabilites/challenges. My concern is, as inclusive as it could be on the flip side I see lots of access barriers that would need to be overcome to ensure equity of learning opportunities
Whoa Whoa Whoa this is a whole new scale of generating stuff without going through the hassles of recording etc to get things done...too perfect for many introverts and those who may not be in ideal environment to excecute stuff
I hope not :D AI is so new and it's not industry standard yet. Still, knowing how to navigate some of the basic tools may be a good skill to have down the road!
This is completely batty! My instinctual reaction to this is fear. I can see how a lot of this tech can be misused. But I appreciate your sense of humor in bringing forth this info...it is interesting!
While these technologies are really cool, prices need to come down for them to fit into most budgets. I spoke to a rep from Synthesia last year, and the annual cost was about 75% of an FTE for just hiring a real human instructional designer. I hired another human instead, lol.
Watching the video now, noticed you've got five days left on your free trial for Jasper. And yes, I am amused. Speaking as a teacher who's given written reports as assignments, I'm curious how this will work. I can see students from middle school up through graduate using this tool instead of doing it themselves. Technically, it's not plagiarism, but is it ethical?
Haha yes, they have a trial you can play around with if interested. And I was wondering the same thing…going to be weird times when the AI can do better work than students / employees. There are AI checkers I believe that you can run copy through and it will tell you if it’s real or “fake” (kind of like the plagiarism checkers)
The video is really great, thanks for making it all so lively. I am just wondering how financially accessible AI generated ID/LXD is going to be especially for third countries. Easy comes at a price. PS I think people like those who are relatable to them, so perfect AI pitch is not a game changer alone ;)
I really, really don't like the idea of Synthesia!! What kind of world are we creating here? A world of fake? Seriously. We're devaluing humanity and the role of humans in this whole development process. Would students really want to learn from these robotic-like characters? Don't we learn better with a more human-to-human approach?
If you enjoyed the video, please let me know you liked it by subscribing to the channel!
Excellent content!
Done, thanks for the useful video
love the humor!

You're welcome, and thank you for highlighting these pieces, Tanya. Very interesting times indeed :D
Great video! I look forward to trying all these out!
Thanks so much! Let us know which one(s) are your favorite :D
Thank you for the walk through, Devlin. I appreciate you.

Thanks Devlin, I have been watching Jasper for a while now, but you have pushed me over the barrier to uptake :)
Oh great! Let us know how you like it once you dive in 😃
Woww.. my initial thinking is could be possible in the future to have an AI tool than can do storyboards and create a full training? Feeling rather scared of the future of ID. What are your thoughts about this?
I've been wondering... did you make your own intro? The jingle and animation are so well coordinated - I love it!
Hey! Yeah I started with a template then put my logo in and synced it up with a music clip I also bought 😃
Thanks, Devlin! This is very insightful indeed and showed a whole new avenue to the AI for IDs. I am trying to access Jasper but everytime I try to use a template it gives me the pricing option. Is it happening with you too?
Hi Mehak! I used the free trial and didn’t have that issue. Are you able to do a free trial?
Would love to see PART II of this! As there are more and more useful tools like these!
I would love to see an update on these tools considering how fast they are growing! I am helping a friend develop her online courses and doesn't want to show her own image
Yes, absolutely! As these tools improve, we'll get a better picture of which ones are still relevant and most useful for IDs.
Such a great video! Thank you for your valuable content. I'm excited to try these tools :)

Thanks Eric! Hopefully they find something that will help save them some time 😃
This was great. Can you please share the sequoia capital link you discussed at the end of the video?
Of course! It’s the generative AI map that’s linked in the description 😃
Thank you so much Devlin😊 This is helpful enough.
You’re welcome 😊 Glad it helped!

Total agreement.
Yes, they’re definitely not quite all the way there yet, but will be weird times if they get to that spot!
Amazing!!! 😮 many thanks... I did not know about these tools... I will try to bring this content to my channel about eLearning ;)
You’re welcome! Glad that you enjoyed it 😃

Thank you for doing follow up video.. Will AI take your ID job?
I hope not :D AI is so new and it's not industry standard yet. Still, knowing how to navigate some of the basic tools may be a good skill to have down the road!
thats hella funny!!! unexpected great vid!
Haha thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😃
Wow! Great, so useful
Thanks for watching & commenting!
I think my issue is jumping between tools. I wish there was a comprehensive free tool.
This is completely batty! My instinctual reaction to this is fear. I can see how a lot of this tech can be misused. But I appreciate your sense of humor in bringing forth this info...it is interesting!

@Devlin Peck That helps. Nice to know AI developers are keeping "Skynet" in check.
Wow!!!

Very funny! Nice review
Thanks Nick!
This is simple awesome ..this would be a game changer in comming days...
For sure! We’ll see how these tools progress in the years to come 😃

There's always going to be more benefits with real human interaction for sure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
