Melissa, I had almost a full week of beautiful sunny days while I stayed in Murphy, North Carolina. It was cold, but it was sunny, and there was hardly any wind! Things didn’t start to change until late Friday afternoon and it started raining off and on Friday night into Saturday and it really didn’t rain much on Saturday, but I was checking out on Sunday and about 3 AM Sunday morning Some storms rolled through. It scared my poor dog and it woke me up so I went and laid on the couch in the cabin. The cabin I stayed at had beautiful chalet windows with a beautiful view of long range mountains during the day, but that night I got to see a really cool lightning storm lit up outside! It was a beautiful show! I got up at 5 AM to start putting everything together to start putting in the car and unfortunately it was raining the whole time I was trying to load up the car so I was a drenched mess!😅
Thanks for sharing your beautiful day with us. I hardly seen the sun in 3 weeks, which was short lived. It’s going to really cold next week and I hope those who lost their homes will be find a warm place to stay with warm meals this winter. The Helena disaster made me deeply appreciate everything I have.
Glad you had a nice day! In all the 26 years my family and I have been coming to the Dillsboro/Bryson City area, we've never been to Deep Creek. My wife and I will be coming up this Saturday morning and staying 3 nights for our 29th anniversary. Looks like it's going to be a little wet and cold, but we do plan to ride to Deep Creek and see what it looks like, even if it's to cold to stay long. We will be staying in Dillsboro, but we plan on spending part of our time in Bryson City. Maybe our paths will cross sometime while we're there.? Take care, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
You over near Bryson City, Deep Creek ? Hendersonville here. I took my dog to the park today and lots of people, dogs, kids out walking. I get out on warm sunny days . Makes me feel better from gloomy winter weather.

@@italian_grl Good to know. I have family local so rarely need a dog sitter. I would probably want a house sitter at the same time if you wouldn't mind coming over to the Dillsboro area.
