Roughly 2 years ago on a wr video you said you probably wouldn’t even do RUclips videos if it wasn’t for the comment section, we are still here commenting, waiting to enjoy your next video. I hope everything is well. I personally got into dirt bikes over from watching your videos now I’m riding or wrenching on my bikes every chance I get and can’t picture my weekends with out it now just this year I expanded my riding experience into the racing side of things and it is absolutely a blast. I just wanted to say thank you for showing me this and teaching me things even though you have no idea who I am

@@aliceshaw8265 The older videos were more polished and edited. Newer videos are less so and show more of the real people. They are great either way, and while I prefer the more polished videos, I also understand they need to put out consistent content.

I thought in the first vid the pressure was too low, the spray should have produced much more kickback. I suspect a worn out pump.

To increase the revs at full throttle, just bend the round tab that the governor spring attaches to away from the machine to increase spring tension.

I recently started working as a mechanic, I fix mostly grass trimmers but i also know something about this kind of engines. Here's a quick tip: instead of changing the spring you can adjust the rpm bending the bracket that links the throttle to the regulator. It's not an elegant solution but it's cheap and effective, just be very gentle

just so you know, 2 things, you should use the green nozzle when checking pressure and the guage goes between the pump and the gun the rated pressure will be without the trigger depressed and you can expect to drop 5-7 hundred psi with water flowing

White nozzle does the best cleaning and still pretty safe on plastics and softer stuff. The red one can do serious damage to most things including skin....Well maybe not with the pressure on that model.

FYI if you need special bolt like that, you can take normal bolt put couple nuts, tighten them real tight, chuck the bolt into drill, turn it and remove material with angle grinder, then finish teh surface with file and sandpaper, trow little bit of paint on top or just heat the bolt and dip it into oil to create black oil surface to protect from rust and that way you got one of these special bolts. I often do this in applications where i only have full tread bolts and need some support to part that would otherwise eat away the treads over time.
Also it would be rather interesting to maybe pop that pump open and refurbish it using DIY methods like sanding surfaces, might improve pumping action even more.

I've watched this post several times, and this is the content that made your videos so popular. Jake comes up with some goofy off the wall meaning of life wonderment, and Jenny responds with "You know I don't wonder that, but you wonder it enough for me." I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard. What if I told you, and inconceivable. There you go again. Great banter.
And on another subject - I bought a pressure washer from a local auction. Paid way too much for it. It had an oil leak, so I replaced the crank seal. First run and all is well. I'm cleaning the concrete next to our brand new pavers. Suddenly the engine stops. I turn around and find the entire contents of the crankcase spreading out all over those new pavers, and the engine is locked up tight from the lack of lubrication. Want a new engine project? I pulled it off the pump. Maybe you can find out how the oil got out, and actually make it run again.
Hi Edward, I'm glad you like the videos! Shame about your pressure washer. What irony that the pressure "washer" dumped oil all over what you were trying to clean. If it was used when you bought it, maybe it had been abused and on it's way out. Thank you for the offer, but I have 2 pressure washers already. I am curious about your story though. Maybe it threw a rod and the oil leaked out. Or it lost compression for some reason and the resultant blow-by evacuated the oil out the breather. Whatever it is I bet you can figure it out. Or throw it out and be done with it!
@@jenniesgarage I have since picked up a free diesel steam cleaner with an electric pump, and that got the oil off the pavers. I don't know how it happened but I thought the new crank seal would take care of it. I got it from Huisman Auction when they were here in Galt. It was a defective return but they were not posting that fact. Anyway thanks for the reply Jake.
I always wanted to take that ride you did. Dirt road, old bridge. Never could find it on a map. I did find one that looks fun. It's Ponderosa Way, off of Electra Rd. I've been looking at it on maps and it looks like a fun ride if the bridge is passable. If you ever want some company on a ride, let me know. Take care. Ed
@@jenniesgarage Hi Jake. I was deleting some mail and saw this old post. Thought I would toss it back to you again. The engine is still sitting here and so is the mystery. It now has a friend, an old horizontal shaft engine that I have never run. Funny thing, just when I think all is lost, someone gives me a working 1800psi diesel steam cleaner. I got all of the oil off those new pavers with it. The motors are still here if you want a project. And I think we're very close geographically, so if you ever want a riding buddy / all you can eat Round Table pizza friend . . .

Maybe the presure washer orvthe trail90. In your defense I bought a refurbished homedepot Briggs and Stratton pressurecwasher at a reduced price. It worked ok for a while but not add long as it should have. I'm putting a new different pump on it now. Couldn't find original pump. Got to love those deals. At least yours didn't have a rod knock!

I inherited my Grandpa's magic bolt biscuit (cookie) it was a lifetime's collection of nuts, bolts and washers dating back to the 1920's. I've been adding my own oddments to is so it's a bit metric now!

I always figured that when they rate pressure washers they were rating the static pressure when the trigger isn't pulled. You should put the gauge on the hose before the gun and see what it makes. Just a thought. Good video
