      Oh 100% I was taking my buddy home from work at about 11pm. On the way to his house we ran across someone broke down under a traffic light. The area we live in is sketch so I wasn't about to get out and see what the deal was so I drove around. Up the road about 50 yards a cop was running radar (I dont know that for a fact but they were posted up behind a building, away from the entrance in that little road that truckers deliver to the back of businesses) in a unlit parking lot with all their lights off. This cop came out into the the road to cut me off and still did not have their lights on. I honestly didn't know it was a cop until I was right on the cop car because I was looking behind me in the review mirror at the stalled out vehicle. My buddy was on his phone so he didn't see the cop either. I swerved to avoid a collision then gunned it because my fight or flight kicked in. I honestly thought, in the moment, I was about to get ambushed. The broke down car plus a car with no lights on risking a T Bone to stop me screamed violent robbery. Anyway I had a fairly quick vehicle and I was already going right under the speed limit of 45mph from accelerating after slowing down under the light to pass the broke down vehicle. I was a good mile (my buddy I said I probably hit around 80 or 90 before i slowed down to pull over) ahead of the cop before they finally turned on their headlights, sirens, and blue lights. So I pull on to a dirt road so the cop wouldn't be in the road as it was a narrow two lane road. Well that was a mistake because the cop pulling me over thought that meant I was getting readt to ambush them. They got out with thier pistol drawn and pointed at us stayed about 10 feer away from my car and sidestepped into view yelling commands to stay still and show them our hands. That was the first time I ever had to stare down the barrel of gun knowing one finger movement could end my life instantly. So the cop holds the gun on me and my friend (we both kept our hands in the air once we saw the gun) until their back up arrived. The arriving officer then came up to my window unarmed (I rolled it down as I was stopping) while the original officer moved to the front of my car and continued to hold the gun on us while the new officer questioned me and got our drivers licenses and insurance. All my stuff was in order so he asked where I was headed, I explained I was taking him home from work so he said to finish doing that then head straight home as he and the officer would be meeting me back there shortly. So I did that, got home, explained the situation to my dad then waited. The officers arrive and the one who had the gun on us explained that he was still dealing with the mental trauma of having to shoot someone not too long before that. I didn't have much to say to him other than thanks for not blasting me and my buddy. It was a really strange encounter with law enforcement. I didn't get any tickets as I really didn't break any traffic laws prior to them trying to cut me off and I'm pretty sure they were not gonna peg me with evading arrest for that initial fleeing because they would've had to show that the cop pulled out into traffic at night with no lights on whatsoever to attempt a stop. I was 19 and really just wanted it to be over and done with but in hindsight I probably should've reported it to someone higher up.

To anyone to ask why cops seem too careful or easily resort to force this is why. Many before them have died thinking they were just doing a normal traffic stop. People with families, kids, husbands, wives, etc. Imagine knowing all of this as a police officer and then in some cities, your people in government won't even back you and you have people wishing you would die or your department defunded. Thank you for making these videos and hleping the public understand how hard a job these people have.

    • @Death-999
      @Death-999 Год назад

      You should be more scared when you're going to the hospital because your side hurts than you should be when pulled over by police. 250+ thousand people die each year due to medical malpractice, around 300 each year die at the hands of cops, and that's just people that died, not accidentally or incorrectly which would be far less. This culture of fear of cops is toxic and irrational and like you said it's made it so cops are fearful too, is the next person they pull over one of the indoctrinated people who thinks cops target black people? That means they need to be ready. We don't have that culture where I live, when I get pulled over by the cops they walk back to their car with their back turned, I can search my glovebox, bag or center console without them panicking because they don't feel like they're in danger, they can walk the street or go into a fast food restaurant with their uniform on. If you stop the irrational hatred towards cops, they'll have a better time on the job and you'll have a better time when they pull you over. But I don't think that's gonna happen, anti-cop now a political talking point, they've got people hooked and it's not gonna go away, it'll only get worse, they're gonna want people to vote for them and they'll lie about black people being targeted by cops to do it, it makes people emotional and it'll make people vote for them.
