Sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
Brand new to total war so this tute is invaluable, what I would add is that if you assign a number to a group, double pressing that number at any time in battle zooms the camera to that group.
Superb. Clear, precise easy to follow instructions and tips for a new player like me. Played a lot of Europa Universalis, but never Total War, and just started on Three Kingdoms. This answered so many of my questions that the in game battle tutorial didn't even begin to cover. Thank you so much!
hey man, thanks for this. i haven't really played a TW game since Rome 1 and these two videos have been immensely helpful in making me not send my dudes to their deaths while i rain arrows on my own guys lol
Thanks for this video. I really needed this. Been out of Total War since Shogun 2 and couldn't find anywhere how to move entire formation whilst keeping formation or how to set waypoints. It doesn't seem like the in-game menus tell you how to do any of this.
Thanks for this helpful video. I played it today and honestly I let my troops run around the field breaking formation and all. I didn't know there's an advance way of moving them haha
I hope you can showcase some battles where you're heavily out numbered but still come out on top. I do fairly well with 1:1 battles but 1:2 and more is nearly impossible unless the AI play poorly or have weaker army composition.
lol, did anyone else notice that when he was hovering his mouse over the sand it said Coarse, rough and irritating. I guess Anakin had a say in the game
Thanks, vid really helped a new comer to pc gaming, literally was winging it on campaign 😂 seeing this vid before I started a campaign would of helped me save my troops 😅
Was wondering if you would think about doing a video on the generals. They seem to play differently from what their tooltips usually explain. The Yellow Turban guys like He ti especially. Maybe thats just a more in depth look at the stats.
Thanks i asked for this last video really like that you acctually did this But when i select an unit and drag it it gets a white box around it, is this an option in the settings?
Hi PartyElite, may I ask how to use the cinematic camera? I've been trying to look for that but not successful so far. Also, how do you change your camera so it can be zoomed out more? Hope you take the time to reply. Thanks!
Nice guide, ty. I don't understand though, why when you press "Space" or drag with the right click you have the green shadows of units. I have a rectangular bronze box with the unit icon in that place. Anyone know how ?
When you go to the options, you can change how it looks when you drag out units: Options > Interface > Dragout Outlines. Make sure the checkbox is unchecked. You can also hover over the text/box to get a description.
Howd you get the green unit formation shadow showing where your troops are going and what their formation will look like? When i do it it only shows a white block looking thing making it really hard to tell how thick my formation is gonna be and also what direction theyre facing which causes me huge problems obviously lol
PartyElite, or anyone who reads this, can someone PLEASE tell me how you get the units to display individually when you do the right click and drag custom formations option?! Been driving me nuts as I have searched everywhere on how to get it where I can see the unit placement as you do in all previous total war games
@@PartyElite @PartyElite I am assuming the ui (interface) tab in the options? Or are you referring to the actual "Set your resolution to..." graphical options? In either case, I went to both and have tried turning on and off anything that might seem remotely close to fixing the problem. When I saw your video (more specifically at the time stamp 4:50) I was quite happy to see that the game does allow for you to view your rank and file display for your custom formation of units. Now I just have to figure out how to get it to work on my game... The only thing I haven't tried yet is a reinstall or the verify the game integrity. Thanks for the quick response!
I really want to know what buildings I should focus on especially in provinces with random ass shit like a mine with a farm and a livestock farm (anding)
There's an option in the graphics section. Can't remember exactly where, but it's the same place you can change which unit cards are used. Advanced Graphics options, iirc
The red exclamation point is that the unit will be a bad matchup versus the unit you have selected. For instance, selecting cavalry will typically get exclamation points to pop up on enemy spearmen. For general information about matchups, refer to PartyElite's first episode in the series, Eight Essential Battle Tips.
When moving multiple retinues, and dragging them out into formation. In this video, it appears green and you can see individual units. When I do this, it drags out a white box that shows mostly the boundary and how it changes. Does anyone know what causes this? Maybe a Color setting or option I am unaware of?
In case you haven't found out yet, you simply uncheck a box in the options in the "interface" section. there's an option called dragout line there which you can uncheck so you get green markers instead of white boxes.
This is problably one of the best guides I've ever seen on just total war in general. So underrated
"forexample if your fighting Lu Bu youll turn garud mode on to insure they do not pursue " - i loled

@Shepherd Pablo instablaster :)
"Because that's what being a great general is about".
*Sudden wave of nostalgia*
Thank you for your work, PartyElite! Three years flew quite fast :)
Damn,i play Total war for so long now and still did not know about the group attack order that takes on the nearest units. Good vid.
Yep! There's always something hidden in there with these games =D
I don't think the grouped attack order was always there. It was here in Warhammer but I'm not sure about the older games.
I love that "Don't pursue lubu" pun

dig how easy you deliver large amounts of info without making my eyes role :)
Glad to hear it!

Man U just raised my game a ton ive having such a hard time keeping my troops in formation and not just mobbing up into a huge mess.
The definitive TW movement guide I've been looking for! Nice work!
Edit: OMG I didn't know about drawing paths!
I have been playing all TW games and I knew 10% of this 👀. Thanks dude
Awesome, I didnt realize how many more controls I can use. Can't wait to charge more effectively! Here I go!
Food and economy would be a good video.
Very underrated game.. i wish more people played it be insane the tactics people would use
I found this video absolutely useful even though I am playing total war more than 10 years!
I think this was the most comprehensive battle control tutorial I have seen yet. Great video ... Thanks for making it :)
Coming from Shogun and Warhammer, this was very useful. I was quite confused about a few things in 3 Kingdoms, thanks!
I'm not sure if you even check these comments but I have been playing Total War games since Rom 1 and this video taught me things. Thanks man.
I do indeed! Glad this could help a veteran player! =)
Getting ready to play this title. It's reassuring to know that so many fundamental TW combat mechanics apply to this game as well.
Damn bro this is amazing, i can finally keep my army organized. Thanks.

Very useful, thank you mate.
You bet! Glad to hear it!
Always love a refresher ..thank you for this

i believe the factors to win an outnumber battle would be to many
lol, did anyone else notice that when he was hovering his mouse over the sand it said Coarse, rough and irritating. I guess Anakin had a say in the game
It didn't say it was getting everywhere
I like the new grouping mechanics that weren’t there in older total wars
This tutorial was SPOT ON!
It is soooo helpful! Thank you so much!
Nice video dude

Awesome Tutorial!
Had to sub because you taught me how to play now lmao

If you hold control, then left click the units you want in order then right click and drag out your units will be in the order you want.
Thanks i asked for this last video really like that you acctually did this

There are tons of options for alternative stuff. Go to look it up on your option menu.
grandvage yes i checked but couldn’t find this
@@rens2030 should be on the same option menu that lets you change the lighting style and unit card type
grandvage ok thanks
Wow the generals have faces. I guess my pc is a wooden toaster. Great guide thanks

locked groups do look like something very useful to keep units ordered. Why the tutorial doesn't mention this?
Where is the Playlist for this?

I believe it's under the graphics options. The same place where you can change which style of unit card you want to see.

Do the archers stop wasting their arrows on fleeing troops if you have guard mode activated?
I really want to know what buildings I should focus on especially in provinces with random ass shit like a mine with a farm and a livestock farm (anding)
I think i see a reference at 5:21 there.
ok so there so many controls i didn't use and still done a full map on legend mode with lui bei shu han for life baby
can someone explain how you actually move around the map
Hey, What camera angle is this, definitely looks different?
Wish the tutorial was even half as good as this
How do you make the camera follow a unit?
How do i get archers cones/troop movement destinations. Total noob
How do we get to display future unit position with green arrows , I get a white box?
There's an option in the graphics section. Can't remember exactly where, but it's the same place you can change which unit cards are used. Advanced Graphics options, iirc
More please! :)
I notice that a red exclamation warning symbol appears over the enemy units sometimes. Does anyone know what it means?
The red exclamation point is that the unit will be a bad matchup versus the unit you have selected. For instance, selecting cavalry will typically get exclamation points to pop up on enemy spearmen.
For general information about matchups, refer to PartyElite's first episode in the series, Eight Essential Battle Tips.
12:48 :)
Do not pursue Lu Bu
Now all you need are timestamps!
anyone here to resume the shortcuts?
