I just bought the black plate with red letters also. Thanks for the vid showing how it will look as I haven’t seen one installed yet. It looks awesome! I can’t wait to get mine on Thursday!
That's a good looking skid plate. Know that if you go off-road, those steps might become toast and the rail they're attached to won't protect your rocker panels should the need arise.
Rock sliders are on the list for future mods. These are the syeps that it came with from the factory. For now, they are useful to the wife, which is 38 weeks pregnant.
i got the exact same one, color and non-kdss. i just hope those 4 screws to access the oil filter don't strip out. the stock skid plate has these square nuts that are tac welded in. on the stock one, if you were to strip them out, you could grind off the old nut and tac weld in a new one. i suppose this could also be done for this one, except that this new one is aluminum....... thoughts?
@@automotiveandmore thanks for the info! One my bars is bent - I wanted to see if I can get away not having to order a new one or hammering it back into place. How long did it take from when you ordered till you got it? Thanks!
Nice 4 Runner!👍

Is there something to cover the gap as the radiator is exposed unlike the one that came on the runner?

Sick. I'll be getting black and red also, for a Magnetic Grey Limited. Do these have the jack point in the middle like the OEM TRD plate?
While I am a fan of RCI skid plates, this looks really sweet. Great alternative, and works well with the whole oem vibe. Nice. 👍🤪🏳️🌈

Worse case scenario, you have to install a rivet nut insert for those, and it will be better than the factory. Easy fix.
Nice video! Does the oil filter housing actually fit through the access square without removing the whole skid plate?
Absolutely. I have already done oil changes without removing the skid plate.
@@automotiveandmore Thanks for the reply! I'm ordering it then.
Hi. Looks badazz!
Is the black spray painted, anodized, or powder coated?
Thank you! it comes powdercoated black.
You need to reinforce the jack point of the skid plate with Aluminum block or it will bent if you don’t.
@arnoldoaguio3753 it’s is reinforced - look at 4:40 the angled metal that sticks up….that touches the gram so you can jack
Did you remove the two brace bars that supported the OEM skid plate?
Negative, the brace bars are still installed sandwicked between the skid and the frame.

How long did it take from when you ordered till you got it?
Thanks!
@XdannyX it took about 7 business days to receive it.
If you have KDSS and you get the KDSS skid plate, the 2 braces have to be removed in order to install the KDSS skid
How’s the fitment with a lifted 4Runner
No issues whatsoever.
