    Forgive a noob question but I’m confused about balls that fly past the net, not over. In the first and second point seen, there’s a moment when the a side seems to hit the ball over to the opponents court without it passing over the net. I see conflicting statements on whether this is legal play.
    Secondly there are several balls that seem to volleys where the momentum carries the player OVER the NVZ, but they take care to land outside on the side. This strikes me as against the spirit of the NVZ but clearly seems legal.

    Way more fun to play than tennis. Unfortunately, way less fun to watch...

    • @929mmr
      @929mmr Год назад +1

      Disagree. I've always watched the Nadal and Federer , etc. highlights but can't watch much of ordinary tennis matches. I really enjoy watching pickleball. Maybe I can just relate to it more but a lot less time between serves helps. Dinking can get a little boring in PB but so can numerable baseline hits in tennis.

    • @teacherjoedeveto
      @teacherjoedeveto 6 месяцев назад

      At pro level that will almost always be the case, but if you watch closer, it's usually the person on the left (if both players are right handed) who jumps in front in order to hit a more powerful forehand. And the pros put the stronger player on the left, again if both are right handed. When I play, at a much lower level, right handed women jump in front of me when they're on the left, it's just normal for the forehand to be stronger. I sometimes play with a left handed women and we do the opposite. When she's on the right, she jumps in front because her forehand is better than my forehand. But when I'm on the right, I jump in front, because my back hand is better than her backhand.

    ima be honest all these points look like me and my teams when we go out to play like, if nothing happens in my time in college for tennis and I dont think I can go any further in tennis then I will do Pickleball cause it is hella fun and so much easier, already past the 5.0 mark but I dont have the time to go to those places to play

    • @Goofymonkey11

      Ima be honest with you. No you don’t look like that. I’m sure you have good points but grossly overestimate how you play if you think you are competing with the top pros.

      @@Goofymonkey11 ive accumulated over 1,000k from tournament wins I've played with a friend in Florida, pickleball is the easiest game for me too understand, he has played for a year and is already in the top 50, racket sports are my shit and until real athletes come to this sport a little above average kids like me and my bro will dominate this sport easily.

    I think this sport is for people who don't have many aspirations in life. On the one hand, they could play tennis but it must be physically very exhausting, or they could play ping pong but it required a lot of technique and precision... That's why Pickleball was created, just right in between, for the weak.

    I have said this on other posts, I think the APP should disallow volleying in singles, this would create actual baseline rallies. They need to make pickleball play as much like tennis as possible.

    • @nuttyaccentz

      I had a different/similar idea while playing singles myself. What if for singles, the ball must bounce 4 times instead of twice before being able to move in and volley? It would produce longer rallies, and make it a bit more challenging to approach the net and volley. Plus we’d get to see a bit more shots from the baseline
