I shaved my head several years ago to support my sister, who was fighting cancer. My hair isn’t short anymore, but I did stop fighting my curls. Now I just let them be what they are. Making peace with one’s hair (or any other body part) has brought gratitude for what I have instead of discontent for what I don’t.
That sounds wonderful! And I completely agree with you! So many of us don't like a particular physical feature (but other people would love to have it) so it can bring so much peace to learn to accept it or even love it! I am sure your curls look amazing ☺
Regular subscriber who was super excited to see this video! As you can see I also shave my head, and have been for a couple years now! My daughter had cancer when she was 14, but she refused to allow me to shave my head in support of her. But a couple years ago a lady in our church had cancer and so I shaved my head so that she would not have to be the only bald lady in the church. And I absolutely loved it! As soon as the hair was off, I felt this huge freedom! Being an albino, my hair is the first thing everyone notices about me... And I loved that they were now noticing something I had chosen rather than simply had been born with. I only have my hair soap and a small wood comb, no other hair products or tools or worries whatsoever! I hope you will love it as much as I do, but if not, your hair will grow back! That is the cool thing about this choice!
That is such a nice gesture! Oh yes, I imagine that can be so annoying if people reduce you to a random physical feature... I experience that all the time when I talk in my native language (Swiss German) and mention that I had a child at 18... But I can at least "hide" these things if I don't want to have the same conversation over and over again... So far I love my short hair but we will see if I decide to keep it short or if I want to grow it out again ☺
I am not a regular viewer. I shaved my head 6 years ago for charity. I've grown it out and now I'm thinking of shaving it again but this time I can donate the hair. I'm getting nervous so I wanted to watch a few videos for reassurance. Your head looks fabulous!!!
I shaved my head five years ago, and I've tried growing it out twice, but the upkeep of having to wash my hair and worry if it's dirty or messy or tangled was so annoying, so I always went back to being bald. The buzzcut looks really good on you and looks so natural, like it was always meant to be that way. Welcome to easy living my friend 💚🛀
I shaved my head last year, and it was the best decision I have made regarding my hair. I will never have long hair again. I like it that way and how simple it is to maintain it. It saves me time, money and is one less worry. Also always looks good 🙂
I'm an introvert and I find my long hair very freeing. I used them as a curtain to the world when I feel overwhelmed by it, lol. If I shaved my hair I would feel naked and exposed.
I can understand that as well. You are not only actually less "protected" by the hair but the way many people expect women to cut their hair makes you even more vulnerable to the world and its (often strange)opinions ☺
Yes! Do it and the people around you will (have to) accept it☺ and I think things like that can also have a really good and refreshing impact on the people around us and stereotypes that don't need to exist ☺
@@OfWavesAndWinds I used to use my hair to “hide” too. I recently shaved it and I love it!! I am very self conscious so I do get nervous about what other people think sometimes but it’s much better for me than long hair.
Regular watcher, but I shaved my head about 8 months ago, so I'm really excited about this. I love my shaved head. I love how much time it saves me. I actually shaved mine because I have a sensory processing disorder and my hair has always been a problem for me. So I have been so much happier without hair. You look really good and I hope you enjoy it
This is the main reason I buzz mine frequently. Also I have trichotillomania. But I do find shaved hair prickly too, so there's really no ideal hair for me, I don't think!
Good on you lia. Your hair is your hair. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with people that they seem to think they have the right to tell you what you should be doing.
I’m here because as a regular viewer I love your channel. I am thrilled to see you do this. I’ve watched so many “big chop” and “buzz cut” videos before cutting my hair. I’ve done it 4 times. The first shower, the feeling of the water 🚿 over my head is so calming. You are so right - I am not my hair. Rock on Lia, I love that you pave your own way.
Thank you for your comment! It's so nice to hear that other people feel similarly and yes, it is so amazing to feel the water on my scalp and not having to worry about how my hair looks, etc ☺
I absolutely love how you look with a clean Brown Buzzcut. You have wonderful facial features. I love you without any makeup; you have a simple, minimalistic, true beauty!
I’m watching because I want to shave my head sooo bad for years now! It really hit me when you talked about femininity, I think I’m holding onto that belief that my hair makes me more of a woman and I feel so scared about what others will think of me 😅 I think I’m gonna set a date for myself ..
I haven’t shaved my head, but I’ve been wearing it naturally for a year now and it’s awesome. I’ve ditched my hair straightener and I embrace my curls. My hair is far from perfect but I prefer not spending to much time styling it everyday :)
I never had buzzcut, but I love my pixie hair! I look so stylish for myself, and I get compliments from friends and family, that I never looked so good with long hair. After 2 pregnancies my hair became weaker and thinner, so I decided give up on trying them to regrow. And of course as a mom of two, studying and working part-time, pixie perfectly fits in my simple and quick routine. Never been happier with short, easy maintain hair. I put some make-up, beautiful earings and feeling beautiful and ready to go!
That sounds wonderful! And your life really sounds like an easy hairstyle is a good choice so you can focus on the more important things ☺ especially also when you love the pixie cut! ☺
Love that you did this for yourself and no one else!! You are such a strong and powerful woman! And how awesome that someone else will benefit from your hair! What does your son and boyfriend think? 😊💕
Thank you! My boyfriend jokes about wanting my hair to be this or that way (his "opinion" has changed over the years) but he supports me with the decision I make. My son was not happy when I told him about my plan first but now he loves touching my hair ☺
I love that you are so refreshingly direct and intentional of your choices . Loving the new look and don't get me started on how high your cheekbones look! Myself, I have gone the opposite way as I use to cut my hair in a bob and cover the grays. 2 years later, I am salt and pepper with two huge streaks of white on either side of my face and the length is past my shoulders which I will let grow until I no longer "feel" the length. I love the freedom of washing my hair and air drying. I get more compliments on my natural hair than I did when I spent so much money on trying to keep up appearances. Also, since I now work from home I gave away jewelry, suits, skirts and work heels. I am back in jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and Vans, just the look I rocked as a 18 year old Cali Girl now 40 years later.
That sounds amazing! I love natural hair to so I bet you look beautiful and just cutting your hair when you don't want to have the current length anymore sounds like a great approach ☺
I feel so much joy for you to be back in your Vans, hoodies & T’s. You get to be you, you’ve come to the full circle portion of a figure 8 (if that makes sense)🌻☀️🌈
@@ecofriendlia Thank you, Lia. I look forward to all content you bring to this community. It's a nice home that you created for us. Big Love and Hugs from Arizona.
Haha, yes, it is slowly going away thankfully but I was surprised it stayed because I parted my hair differently the few days before I cut it off to not have that "problem" 😂
@@ecofriendlia yes I totally agree I absolutely love your new look! I am also going to shave my head (partly inspired by you!) and was curious about the part thing seeing as I currently always centre part my hair? Did it end up going away after a couple days?
Haha yes, maybe you should at least if you are sure you want this! But I don't regret it and most people who have done it don't regret it as far as I have seen (after a lookout of videos ☺)
I'm watching because I've been buzz cutting my own hair for about 8 years, and I wanted to see yours. I use several different guards to get the look I want. "Hair doesn't define me." Agreed!
i have a buzzcut for 8 years now and i love it! - i love to see someone else cut there hair off bc i think it made them glow up and see a beautiful side of themself.
Oh please do more videos and longer than 9 minutes on this topic! :) You are opening yourself up to a whole new demographic, and I hope you maximize for your your RUclips views, and also for simply sharing it to a wider audience. I’m twice your age and shaved my head a a few years ago. There was a lot of psychological stuff I experienced-the way I thought about myself, the way people treated me, what people said to me, the difference in reactions from men to women, young to old. There is a LOT to this topic. Love to hear more from you on it.
Wow wow wow!! Its very buddhist and freeing to not be attached to something that society is obsessed with. Impermanence. I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling. I have been cutting my hair shorter and shorter and letting go of my obsessive attachment to it. I'm really enjoying your perspective on things!
I always love your videos. I buzzed my head last year and it felt amazing. I then let it grow during the pandemic. I just got it cut short again, really short on sides and back and a little longer on top. My head shape looks better with a little more on top. I love how I now never need to factor my hair into "getting ready" time - I can shower, dress, and be ready to go in 10-15 minutes. I also love not having to keep hair paraphernalia around. I do get reactions socially sometimes. There are men, especially, who believe all women need long hair. Fortunately, (for them) men I've dated/married have not held that opinion. I also love that I don't need to deal with hair in my nose and mouth when it's windy!
From a subscriber: you look sooo beutiful! I thought several times about cutting off my hair. I think that being shaved feels like WOAH, because, as humans, our perception changes when we are more exposed. I think it changes our connection with nature (like wind, water, sun) and bring us a new sense of connection with ourself and with our minds. It also saves so much time. Thank you for sharing this video, you really helped me with my decision! 💚
I’ve had a buzz cut around 10 years ago, I really liked it! I think it really brings the face into focus, and that’s nice. At the moment I have longer hair, I’m beeing minimalist with my hair in this way: I have decided to have it braided in the same hairdo every day, like a signature look. This way I don’t have to think about how to do it every day, it’s easy to braid it in the morning and the braids do keep better than I thought. I’m subscribed so I would have watched the video regardless of the topic.
I braided my hair too before I cut it off (more and more the longer it got). But somehow I felt every time I had it in a braid a lot, it was even more tangled and I didn't like that. Oh, that is amazing because not all subscribers are like that! But I am so happy to have people like you because you are the foundation of this channel ☺
I did this when I was 17! It was liberating! I have always felt that it is what is on the inside that matters the most. I now have hair down to my waist but I do nothing to it apart from wash it once per week. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You are a super inspiring human being and your videos are always informative and thought provoking.
Hey Lia, I have just become one of your "Maximalists" I love this video and greatly admire you and have found your videos so freeing as i am going through my own minamilism journey. I lost my husband nearly 2 years ago to a brain tumour, like you he had cancer as a child, twice, ironically the treatment he had then was the cause of the tumour when he got older. We were very interested in minimalism as his surgery caused physical side effects which made movement very difficult. I have other disabilities myself so there was a lot we couldn't get done, with no help. I have shaved my hair every so often since i was 20, i find it very liberating and when i feel strong enough i do it again because it just feels like the real me. My husband LOVED my shaved head, we matched when he had his shaved for the surgeries. Since he passed i have been desperately trying to find direction in life and minimalism seems to help me get through this better than anything else i've seen and your videos are the most friendly and understandable i have found. I feel like they relate to what i need now to make something of my life alone and have some chance to heal. You are a true inspiration to me, Thank you again
hello. you've asked why am i watching this video. well, i found your channel just a few days ago, and i'm so happy about it. some of the video i've watched is with you with long hair, some of them were with shortcut -- and, of course, i wondered if you did one about shaving your head and i'm so glad you did. also it is 21st of march 2022, and that means it is 1 year birthday to this video 😊
As a guy, I do this since 15 yo, because it is so much easier to deal with. Especially when it comes to washing your "hair". You look pretty this way, and I think you'll love it.
Looks terrific, Lia! I remember you mentioning that you wanted shorter hair in some videos so nice to see you can achieve it - I also like that you talk about this being beneficial for you but that minimalism doesn't have to have an aesthetic tied to it. Brilliant video!
Thank you! Yes, I think this is important because even if short hair might mean more simplicity there really isn't any checklist to follow to be a successful minimalist ☺
I buzzed my head last spring because all the barber shops were closed for COVID but I was still working and needed my hair out of my face! I had a pixie cut before so it wasn't a huge change but it was still a very different look, and I got the full range of comments, from compliments to insults. I loved it, which is ultimately all that really matters since it's my head. I used a 1" guard so my scalp was still covered to prevent sunburn but my hair was 100% out of the way. I'm currently deciding whether to try and grow it out now or buzz it again!
Did this during lockdown, I already do my husbands hair so we are a matching pair now. Very liberating to be able to look after yourself and freedom , no product, brushes etr. shower and go on our travel adventures and saving lots of money as we enter our retirement year. I am 62 and have grey hair and has never looked better than in this style. Next summer when we go on our holiday on our boat for 2 weeks i will shave it all off just to see what it looks like.
Hiya, I’m a new subscriber....I’m in the USA... I also have cut my hair very very short.....most of my life - having very long hair (I used to sit on it - as a child). I also had cancer. I’m a senior - living MY LIFE-MY TERMS & MY STYLE.... Whereas I lived my whole life (65 years) - living according to societal norms. :( Raised 4 children by myself)...Very very Happy about my children’s lives in general.... I’m not a minimalist - but I love the concept. I went from a 3 bedroom flat to a studio..... Filled with things I love & Can’t live without..... Much Health & Happiness “You’re really kool” Keep True To Yourself
Regular watcher. I didn't wanted hair to define me. I've made my own decision about it and I felt it was one of my fist mature one. I donated my hair about a year ago and had extra short hair. It's amazing feeling to see how hair is growing up and how it changes my look. It was one of my best decisions in life! It gave me so much freedom. Couldn't stop touching my head - this feeling was great! Maybe will do it again in a few years... ;) I'm amazed and so happy that I see so many women cutting or buzzcutting their hair and they are so proud with it! Congratulations for you!
OMG. Oh, Lia Your beautiful hair. I’m a regular watcher and did NOT expect this. You are, of course, a beautiful person, no matter what hair you have - or don’t. I, once, as a young person had very long hair, cut it off, and have had it very short since then, but a buzz cut - that is brave! I hope it feels great and makes your life even easier.
It does feel really good but I get what you are saying... It is "extremely" short... So it does look different than a regular short hair cut a lot of women have ☺
I used to shave my head. The first time was a complete impulse decision. It gets really hot where I live and I loved the convenience. I would let it grow out a little to a pixie cut, but normally rebuzzed it. I am trying to grow it out now since I didn't really have hair for 4 years. It's finally to my shoulders, but there's something addictive about shaving your head. I am often very tempted.
That is interesting! Yes, I think I know that feeling. Even if it is the first time I shaved it that short I always had big plans of growing my hair very long but never made it because I wanted them short a few years into my journey to butt long hair 😂. But I also never really regretted cutting them again so...
You look so beautiful and I love how you discibed that you did not need hair to be feminine or a women. I recently cut mine to a pixie and love how simple it is!
A follower and I think you rock your new style, Lia! I’m sorry to hear about your cancer as a child and I’m also very happy that you are fine and well today. Donating your hair is a great gesture since it’s needed. Much love🌹💗
Thank you! I am so glad my parents were so strong and helped me through it mentally in a way that was not traumatizing at all. Now I am also just very thankful that I am healthy and I hope someone will love the wig ☺
Your face is even more beautiful not hidden behind hair. I recently cut mine short but not shaved. How fresh and freeing I feel. What a kind thing to do for ill children also.x
I just discovered this channel because I like minimalism, and discovered this video,I think it is amazing, I actually did the same thing myself a few months ago. I did it because I think it is very low maintenance but also I always like to make a statement, as women we are sometimes told by society that we can’t wear certain things or look certain way in order to be beautiful and I like to challenge that, to go against that. It has been great for me because not only I love the way it looks on me, but also I feel very comfortable never worrying about hairstyles or anything, but another Rea son I have really enjoyed it is because it is a step into normalizing this kind of looks for women, showing we don’t need to have amazing long hair in order to be beautiful or any other thing for that matter. I love to see other people in the other side of the world having the same mindset 😊 I am from Mexico by the way
What a lovely thing to be able to give back to a charity that can help children or adults in the same position you were, that must feel really good. You look great and it must be amazing not having to dry your hair at all!
I will be shaving my hair for the second time raising money for the greatest shave I just love the thought of having no hair because I agree with everything you are saying!!! So yeah raising money and having the freedom of no hair by choice . You look amazing!!
Beautiful! I loved having very short hair. But as I'm not good at styling (cutting my own hair is far beyond skill) having longer hair is more minimalist for me as I don't have to go to a hairdresser anymore. So now I grow my hair and I have a similar simple hairdo as you had. Now I can ask my mum to trim it two or three times a year. And to be honest, after 30 I stopped liking how I look with short hair. Old, too old. I also don't dye my hair and I'm little by little going grey but surprisingly this completely does not bother me. I love this video because it shows how we should put our comfort and wellbeing before concepts of female beauty.
Hi, I’ve been watching this channel for a while, also hair videos separately. Cut most of my hair off and donated it in December, think I will probably shave it all in a couple of months. Thank you for being on this platform, you seem like such a cool human :))
I did it back in February. It is so freeing. It’s the best thing I have done in a long time and it was just for me. You are beautiful with long hair and short hair. Your hair length doesn’t dictate your beauty!!
I have buzzed my hair a few times in my life, almost always after a big change or loss. I prefer my hair short now, not always buzzed, but the ease and minimalist aesthetic is something I prefer. I try not to let my hair define me and instead, focus more on who I am outside of appearance. I try and watch all of your videos, and I really enjoyed this one!
I have done this at the beginning of a summer and I loved it. Nobody else did, but my opinion is the one that matters. Of course I'll do it again someday, it's too good of a feeling to deprive myself of it. It grows back too quickly for me. My hairdresser tells me I could grow hair for a living. By the way, I think that short hair enhances your appearance. You have a lovely face.
Great to see you happy about your decision! :) I want to add my point of view mostly because I have been growing my hair as a man, that I think long hair is most minimalist solution, because when Its short you have to trim it often and even use products is you let if grow to "annoyng lenght", but long hair is just zero care, if understand how hair works and how to keep it healthy/eat healhty, zero products are needed. Maybe hair tie thats all.
My hair is to the middle of my rear end and tomorrow, my beautician daughter will shave it ALL off! Woo-hoo! I am not doing anything abnormal, though. I have had it super short multiple times in my life, so I already know short hair suits me. My reasons are medical. I won't get into that, but I simply need to focus on self-care and not hurting and aching from washing my long hair. I also need to concentrate on a healthy scalp, which will be so much easier without long hair. I LOVED your video! I was so glad to see your enthusiasm and positive outlook. Blessings from Texas, USA!
I've watched your channel from the beginning for the minimalism content...... but weirdly enough, I've always enjoyed head shaving videos - since I've done a couple myself. What an oddly satisfying merge of two random topics. Good job!
I watched a lot of shaving videos and finally shaved my own head (well my bf did) about a month ago. I clicked the video because of the topic. I never seen anyone talking about how minimalistic the haircut is. Yes, it gives freedom as in empowerment but most of all it gave me freedom from decision fatigue, three shampoos and three different conditioners and from clogged drain. I was amazed how much time I was spending on my hair and on thinking about it 🤯
Lia, you look amazing and beautiful! I have thought about cutting all my hair off before but I never really had the guts to do it. Maybe one day I will
Thank you! If you really want it I hope you find a way to do that step! I can encourage you to do it but of course only if you are sure 😉 but it will grow back anyway so I think that helps when it comes to hair ☺
I’m watching this as I always watch your videos and also I used to shave my head and the freedom I felt , now I’ve changed it up a bit for a while ,but it’s the best , xx
Hey! I am also a regular watcher of your channel. I have never shaved my hair but I did cut it quite short a couple of years ago and donated the cut hair because it was very long. Now I wear it short and I have stopped dying it. You are a beautiful person and look beautiful too!
Regular watcher, I remember you already talked about cutting your hair. You did it and it is so cool and brave because your hair was very long and thick (congratulations for donate it). I understand that your appearance is not the major topic but I think you look beautiful and very fresh with your new buzz cut. I dit it also two times in the past and I always felt a relief. Prepare yourself to new sensations and feelings, and a new self-affirmation as some people have sometime a weird tendency to comment bitterly what they can't understand. Now I hope you will share your new personal comfort in your videos. You did very well !
Thank you for this comment! I actually rode a bike for the first time with this haircut today and that was great ☺ and I love showering with the feeling of the water on my scalp! ☺
Hello! Regular viewer here and always enjoy your videos 😊 I think it's funny that very short hair on women is still a big deal for some people but maybe they will get used to it if we keep doing it 😁 I shaved my head 10 years ago just for the experience and the freedom feeling which I really enjoyed. I decided to grow it long again now because I can't be bothered to keep cutting it and I'm enjoying the new silver hair coming through. I am sure someone will be very happy to receive your lovely thick hair and you look much happier and more like yourself without it.
I also don't understand why it is such a big deal... I saw so many videos of women cutting their hair mentioning many times that it is not an irrational, impulsive, mid-life crisis decision, but I would never have thought that... I thought I should mention why I do it because it still seems to be necessary but I really hope that in the future the length of hair won't have to correlate so much with our sex and gender... ☺
@@ecofriendlia Yes unfortunately we still need to explain it. I was asked if I was having a breakdown by one friend! My male friend said to me "You're pretty enough to get away with it " ?! I said "Thanks. So are you" 😂
Nice!! I spend so much time and money on my wavy dry hair to keep it healthy that shaving my head would be such a big relief to never have to worry about that again. Good for you!
I’m a regular watcher and I don’t have a shaved head but my hair is very short. I originally wanted to shave my head but my mom said I wasn’t allowed, and since I was still living with her at the time, I didn’t but I love my hair! I’m so glad I cut it short, it is so much easier. All I have is shampoo and conditioner and a comb a use every so often because the top of my hair is a bit longer than the rest.
Hi! Loved your point about shaving your hair, Im Maca from Argentina, and i did shaved like 3 times and it totally changed me... its simple, easy, fast, clean, and what I learned, it that when you look at the mirror you cant escape seeing your soul through your eyes, what ever you didnt deal before, its now the time... and apart from that, i dont use any more shampoo or what ever, just some water, feels like my hair its 100% natural fron the color to the touch when you feel it... great decision!!!
You do look great with buzzed hair. I was bald as a teen so now I enjoy having long hair to brush, and I like the feel of it on a windy day, and enjoy trying different hairstyles and appreciate long hair so much now. As a minimalist, I can see the appeal, and at the same time I know I may go bald not by choice at any moment so I'll just enjoy what I have for now. Lol. I loved hearing your story about overcoming cancer as a child, that is awesome. Can't wait to hear follow up in a few months. Yay good luck!
Oh, I can totally understand that! Enjoy your long hair! I will definitely do a follow-up video in a few months whether I chat it again or let it grow out! Also of course you can see the progression in my videos every week ☺
Awesome! I shaved my hair in front of 360 kids to support cancer society. Every now and then I let it grow to my shoulders but end up shaving it off again for exactly the reasons you stated. Some people struggle with my choice, which I think is sad, because it doesn’t define me or change my personality. Well done for giving it a go.
That sounds great! Yes, sadly hair seems to be a topic where people are way too involved sometimes... But I am glad I have a community here that understand me (99% at least ☺)
I did it too a few times, and it's both scary and liberating. As you said we are not defined by our appearance. Last week I just cut very short my shoulder length hair for the same reasons you did. long hair is beautiful but it's not for me. I dealt with it.
THIS IS LOOKING SO GOOD AND FLATTERING !! Beautiful on most and on you too ☺ Also, I am really interested in minimalism and started watching your videos and as soon as I saw you with this incredibly flattering beautiful haircut I searched for it to check it out 🥰
I'm new to your channel; intrigued by your minimalist lifestyle and your buzzcut. I shaved my head when I was 18; fundraising for charity and donating the hair to be made into a wig. I had wanted to do it when I was younger, but my mother was afraid that I may be a flippant child and regret it. It was the best thing I've ever done. It's been a few years now and my hair has grown past my shoulders again. I'm seriously considering shaving it again. Seeing this video reminds me of why I wanted to do it in the first place. (Also, having thick, curly hair and then a buzzcut made showers so much easier!)
I'm a fairly new subscriber, and this was A M A Z I N G! Yay for you! I've had a mohawk, a buzzed head and a shaved head. It feels so empowering. I may do it again some day, you reminded me of how freeing it was and how few things I needed in my life for my hair. You're gorgeous.
You look great! I buzzed all my hair off one year ago. I had a lot of hair, looked huge, and was a lot a work (had to wash it everyday), and I had to treat a skin condition. I always felt that I could hide behind the hair, as I did not like my face so much... Now things are so much simpler. I wash it in less than a minute, dries fast, and I never had a bad hair day (or clogged bathroom pipes) again. Plus, I have large facial features and the almost bald hair brings attention to my cheekbones... funnily I think I look more feminine now that I am practically bald. It helped me to learn to like my face (I cannot hide it even if I wanted), and barely wear makeup anymore.
It was emotional to see you shave off your beautiful hair but as you said, hair doesn't define us or make us feminine. You are breaking a lot of mental barriers for us ...thanks 🙂
I don't agree. Hair was always very important to women and very few look good with shaved head. Sinead O'Connor is the ONLY woman who actually looks better without hair, lol.
I shaved my head 10 years ago for the first time when I was just 16! I have since shaved it 3 more times (twice during this pandemic) I love short hair and pixie cuts. It always feels so liberating and cool 😎 I’m thinking of doing it again now that I see your video. You look amazing btw! It suits you and you’re beautiful 💗
I’ve buzzed my hair several times and had short hair for a good portion of my life. It’s so much easier and encourages confidence... at least with me I always feel more sassy with it short. I’m currently 2 months into growing mine out again. It’s a challenge or me...I’m challenging myself to commit to growing it out as long as I can stand it.
Stunning 🔥 Love your life style!) I have long wanted to shave my head. I did it 4 months ago. It's was unforgettable, a sense of freedom, a sense of self. Highly recommended 👌
❤️
"Decluttering my hair" omg, this is hardcore 😜
Oh I can imagine... I am still nit sure when/if I am growing it out again and thank you! ☺️
I shaved my head last year, and it was the best decision I have made regarding my hair. I will never have long hair again. I like it that way and how simple it is to maintain it. It saves me time, money and is one less worry. Also always looks good 🙂
You look awesome! I am 62 and I so want to do this-my husband is mortified when I say some day I AM going to do this. Such freedom!
Diane how long is your hair?
Regular watcher, but I shaved my head about 8 months ago, so I'm really excited about this. I love my shaved head. I love how much time it saves me. I actually shaved mine because I have a sensory processing disorder and my hair has always been a problem for me. So I have been so much happier without hair. You look really good and I hope you enjoy it
Oh, that is amazing! I can only imagine that short hair is so much easier for you! I love it for just the simplicity of its look, care, etc. 😉
This is why we keep my son's head shaved as well. He especially hates the feeling of washing longer hair.
@@katherinep1010 I totally sympathize with your son.
I have sensory processing disorder too and I really want a haircut too but I’m anxious
This is the main reason I buzz mine frequently. Also I have trichotillomania. But I do find shaved hair prickly too, so there's really no ideal hair for me, I don't think!
I cut my hair off 6 years ago and I’ve never looked back. I love it. It’s so easy to keep clean and I don’t need hardly anything to do that!
I can totally understand that! It is so easy and nice when it dries quickly, doesn't have to be styled or anything like that ☺
I actually think you look so much better with shaved hair. Fricking love it!!!
Thank you! ☺❤
Everyone does.
Good on you lia. Your hair is your hair. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with people that they seem to think they have the right to tell you what you should be doing.
Hi, I buzzed my hair a couple of weeks ago. Now it is really me! It grows on you! I’m 75. Look so much younger!
That sounds great! Usually, hair also gets healthier without heat, etc and I think natural hair is beautiful! ☺
As a man i really love to see a woman with curls.
I like it. No hair is good. Long hair is good.
Exactly! Everybody should be free to choose their hairstyle, change it, like it, hate it, and find what suits them most at the moment ☺
My son was not happy when I told him about my plan first but now he loves touching my hair ☺
beautiful full circle moment for you! i've been subscribed for a while, but don't watch regularly. this one i had to watch. you look incredible
Regular watcher and was totally surprised by this topic. Noticed the part stayed. Awesome look for you, dear!
Regular viewer here. I take this as a sign to not stop and go ahead with my increasing urge to shave ny head. Thank you Lia🍃
OMG, I felt the same, you feel such a difference in so many ways that people treat you
I used to have a buzzcut until about one year ago and I loved it, it felt really free, looks great on you
I can imagine, it feels so good! And thank you 😉
Wow wow wow!!
It's a lovely idea that you are helping a child that is in a similar situation to where you were years ago. ✌️♥️
hello. you've asked why am i watching this video. well, i found your channel just a few days ago, and i'm so happy about it. some of the video i've watched is with you with long hair, some of them were with shortcut -- and, of course, i wondered if you did one about shaving your head and i'm so glad you did. also it is 21st of march 2022, and that means it is 1 year birthday to this video 😊
My girlfriend shaved my head a few days ago. You were actually part of the inspiration I had for that desicion. Thank you!
As a guy, I do this since 15 yo, because it is so much easier to deal with. Especially when it comes to washing your "hair". You look pretty this way, and I think you'll love it.
What a brave soul! You are amazing and what a blessing your hair will be to someone else!
Yes, I hope somebody will have my hair and feel better with a wig ☺
Much Health & Happiness

Regular watcher. I didn't wanted hair to define me. I've made my own decision about it and I felt it was one of my fist mature one. I donated my hair about a year ago and had extra short hair. It's amazing feeling to see how hair is growing up and how it changes my look. It was one of my best decisions in life! It gave me so much freedom. Couldn't stop touching my head - this feeling was great! Maybe will do it again in a few years... ;)
I'm amazed and so happy that I see so many women cutting or buzzcutting their hair and they are so proud with it!
She did mention it quite a feww times in previous videos but I was still surprised with this, lol.
@@ecofriendlia I think you are very beautiful and that the shorth hair and no makeup really do let your natural beauty shine
You look really good with the length when you first cut the braids off
You look so beautiful and I love how you discibed that you did not need hair to be feminine or a women.

I absolutely love your Buzz cut
I love to see other people in the other side of the world having the same mindset 😊 I am from Mexico by the way
Just beautiful and simple! Loved it!! Suits you perfectly!❤️
Found you as a minimalist, I'm also a woman who shaves my head!
!!!You are so clear and bold in your thought!!! This hair looks very good on you.
What a lovely thing to be able to give back to a charity that can help children or adults in the same position you were, that must feel really good. You look great and it must be amazing not having to dry your hair at all!
Thank you! Yes it feels so good and easy ☺
I will be shaving my hair for the second time raising money for the greatest shave I just love the thought of having no hair because I agree with everything you are saying!!! So yeah raising money and having the freedom of no hair by choice . You look amazing!!
I’ve been tempted to shave my head for a long time but never have the courage! Way to go.
That's interesting! ☺ oh, thank you! I am glad to have you as a viewer ❤
I did it back in February. It is so freeing. It’s the best thing I have done in a long time and it was just for me. You are beautiful with long hair and short hair. Your hair length doesn’t dictate your beauty!!
Yes, it's so freeing! And thank you for your comment, I totally agree with you, beauty is not defined by our hairstyles ☺
I was amazed how much time I was spending on my hair and on thinking about it 🤯
Regular watcher! I love your content. It’s inspiring and has helped me start to overcome that “what will people think of me” mindset.
That is amazing! I am glad to have you here ☺
Lia, you look amazing and beautiful!
I think you won' t regret it💪🏼 ( i never did and have my hair like that since then , lol)
You look wonderful with the buzz cut. You face shines. Its amazing how hair can weigh us down.
I’m watching this as I always watch your videos and also I used to shave my head and the freedom I felt , now I’ve changed it up a bit for a while ,but it’s the best , xx
Feels liberating for her too and you as well !
O my gosh, you look absolutely stunning in this hairstyle 💕💕💕💕
Looks absolutely fantastic!
Yay! I'm a minimalist who shaves their head bc of minimalism and it's very freeing!
Buzzed mine in November. It’s the best. Don’t think I can go back!
Follow your heart is the best way to do, no matter what people say. You're looking fantastic.
Thank you! ☺
You look so much better with short hair i honestly like both hairstyles but I pefer the buzz I think you should keep your hair that way
That haircut looks so good on you wow
Thank you! ☺️
Beautiful on most and on you too ☺
Also, I am really interested in minimalism and started watching your videos and as soon as I saw you with this incredibly flattering beautiful haircut I searched for it to check it out 🥰
Regular watcher.
I have to say that I'm in shock. It was a brave decision.
So proud and happy for you! I saw your Instagram post and my mouth dropped! You look amazing🤩
Thank you! ☺
Thank you! ☺❤
Beautiful! Been wanting to do this for years…
You look great!
You look beautiful! I did the same 2 months ago and it was the best feeling ever.... I surely do it again in the summer. Well done !
Thank you! And that sounds amazing! ☺
It was emotional to see you shave off your beautiful hair but as you said, hair doesn't define us or make us feminine. You are breaking a lot of mental barriers for us ...thanks 🙂
Thank you! It was a bit emotional for me too but I love how easy it is to care for my new hairstyle ☺
I don't agree. Hair was always very important to women and very few look good with shaved head. Sinead O'Connor is the ONLY woman who actually looks better without hair, lol.
@@OfWavesAndWinds Women are not the same, for some hair is very important, for some it isn't. As a woman you can do your own decision.
@@OfWavesAndWinds I always thought Demi Moore looked gorgeous with a shaved head
@@OfWavesAndWindsshe is not the only woman who looks better without hair. Nonsense!
You looks amazing! And the scars just add even more character 💕
Thank you! I am glad you see it this way! ☺
Because you are beautiful on the inside Lia it doesn't matter how you have your hair, you will always look good!
Thank you ☺
Stunning 🔥
Love your life style!)
I have long wanted to shave my head. I did it 4 months ago. It's was unforgettable, a sense of freedom, a sense of self.
Highly recommended 👌
