It was a lot of fun, I can’t wait to visit again and have a play on the interactive gear, from what I was told there was a big investment in tech, I’m an electronics engineer by trade so I’m not only a coin collector but a bit of an electronics nerd 😝😝😝
G'day Seven, I enjoyed your tour of RAM's new display, something for everyone, from the next generation collectors to golden oldies like me & everyone in between 🤣the giant tube of $1 coins is amazing, so to is the silver proof festive florals 50c coin, RAM & Perth Mint are both on my bucket list to visit one day. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🙏🔥💪👍
Thanks Peter, we are so lucky to have two world class mints right in our back yard, the mint is geared to our youth however it has something for everyone, I can’t wait to get back there and have a play on the tech installed on the first floor, im an old fart but a kid at heart! If you get a chance visit the RAM with or without kids you will have a blast 💥👊
The RAM is specifically designed for education, the Perth mint is more of a museum / shop, I like them both. I visited the mint in Malta in July this year and that blew my socks off as a museum especially around ancient coins. I’v not seen a mint that is comparable to RAM it’s more like a scientific museum with hands on.
Yeah well, the missus tells me I’ve gotta go back and get another one (these 2 grandsons are brothers) because I can’t give to one that I don’t give to the other. So poor me I’ve gotta go back again, you beauty! actually, next time I go, I’ll go upstairs in video that part It’s pretty amazing, just ran out of lunch time!
"makes it feel like you're right in the bush!" I nearly spat my coffee out! Now I need to find some Wattleseed to satisfy my curiosity.😆 On a serious note though, thanks for the awesome tour. Nice proof pickup too. I need to find myself some RAM silver with king Chuck on. It looks like quite a good effigy.
lol, I must admit when I watched the vid back I kinda cringed a bit when I realised what I said 🤣😂🤣. King Chuck, as you call him, I recon looks quite distinguished on this coin, I just love the look of Gold on Silver plus the story on the coin is magic.
There are some really awesome coins and the great stories and yes absolutely there are some really interesting indigenous designs that we can all learn from, and for me that’s what Coins are all about, learning 👊
Thanks, Acca I hope to be visiting Perth soonish. Not sure if you’re still there but I’ll give you a tingle before I com, be great to catch up if you are up to that 👍
RAM needs to increase its mintage of coins so more people have a chance to own them ............. Love the coins they produce and their new show room !!!
Yes I agree the RAM needs to cater for the increase in collectors, and I think they did with the purple poppy @ 100K mintage, they were available for a couple of days post release unlike some that sold out in hours! I’m lucky to be local but I still miss out on some great releases, Im not liking the Australia Post release of coins from RAM they are WAY over priced. Some really amazing and collectable coins come from the RAM I’m now focusing on the investment series as they are always easy to get even a month after release! 👍
Yes mate I’m the same 7 lol, i’ll definitely have a crack at pouring one day, and would absolutely appreciate your assistance. Hope you’re doing well and keeping safe.
@@Seven-Seven-77 I am well and any time you're ready to spend a few bucks we'll get you going with torch and cup to start and if you want to continue you can decide weather or not to tgo electric. Have a beauty weekend 77.
I love that they cater to the younger generations. It's very important they are introduced to tangible wealth. Excellent video Seven thankyou!

Beautiful pickup! Those look highly collectible
They are sold out, it was only by luck I was there on release day 😄👍
Great seeing this as I wondered about the Royal Australian Mint vs. the Perth Mint.

Really like the fact they acknowledge and also celebrate the indigenous native cultures and symbols of Australia 🙌⭐️

That wall with the large versions of coins looks cool. My brother lives in Canberra. Maybe i should visit there.
You should mate, and if you do let me know, I’ll come over and maybe we can make a day out of it 👊
