@@mdimransahabdeen5653 I have used the DAC from a creative G6 and the sound is much better than with the built-in DAC. Now I am waiting for a better DAC than G6.
Looking for speakers to replace my 15 year old Logitech Z5300 and may step up from “gaming speakers”. Still debating - and this great review doesn’t help. :)
Hi, I have a very directed question. Have you ever tried the Audioengine HD3 speaker? They come with an inbuilt PCM 5102 DAC. Would you recommend using an Audioengine D1 (AKM 4396) DAC with this? Would there be any difference? and could you explain the difference between the PCM and AKM D/A convertors? Thanks in advance :)
I have the HD6, if I add the subwoofer would bass come out of my HD6 in conjunction with the sub? Or would the HD6 focus on the treble, mids and highs and the bass go to the sub?
There is no crossover built in so both speakers will play bass. Some newer speakers like this do have a built in crossover for the subwoofer which makes the midrange on the speaker perform better with the load taken off. Thanks for watching
I want to buy these speakers but I don't want to buy a subwoofer. I've had the same speakers for 20 years and the bass volume was always full on. Do you think I'll be fine with these speakers as they are? I don't want my desk shaking or something but I want to hear the bass.
I mean, they're powered bookshelf speakers on the smaller side of things. Perfect for a desk and near-field listening. For what they are, the bass is decent, but of course if you want great bass, a sub is ideal. As long as you're buying them with the right expectations, however, I think you'll really enjoy them.
Again I never bought speakers so I don't want the crazy subwoofer but I do care about bass. It's high quality so I know it's not some basic computer speakers I'm just wondering is the bass in these speakers are good or just okay..

We are so glad to know you liked them so much! Thanks for watching.
damn, the sound mastering in this video is off the charts, nice!
+TamakunX thanks! 🙏
I thought the HD3 was a recent model but it already existed 5 years ago haha
Yep, its hard to believe it was over 5 years ago when we did this video, time flies! Thanks for watching
Thanks for you advice! I nearly bought both HD3+ AND a D1 DAC.
+Md Imran Sahabdeen what stopped you?
oh what I understood is that the D1 DAC is integrated inside the HD3+ so it'll be redundant to get a separate D1 DAC, no?

@@tudorm6838 You know this because you connected using USB? If not, you were not using the internal DAC
@@mrq1701 yes, I know. Noi, I am using topping d30 pro and îs a significant difference.

Hi. Can you connect this to TV?
Technically if your TV had an analog audio out, but there is no toslink or HDMI ARC connection on the HD3. Thanks for watching
Keep up the good work body .. Great videos 👍👍

I am wondering how does the S8 sub-woofer pair with these? Or should I look into other sub-woofers?
+Drmunnybear the S8 will work well!
Requesting a recommendation for a sub please? Thanks
Those don't look like cast baskets.
