- ►Q: What are some tips for launching a podcast?
Everybody would like for their new podcast or show to take off and be a smash hit from episode one. The reality is that it is more likely the first episodes will be your least viewed episodes, but they serve as a great base for the brand and future content you put out. Be patient, learn from the process and do not worry about smashing it out of the ball park on your first attempt.

I started a podcast thanks to Gary (It's THAT Podcast on all the platforms). We are episode 42, we have about 25 consistent listeners. Working on fixing that, 100% patient.

Solid advice, here is 5 tips that we have learned since growing our podcast. We have 67 episodes, but the last 10 have def grown!
1. Have PERSONALITY
2. Be consistant
3. Make sure ID3 tags and Titles are SEO friendly
4. Trend jack on current events and newsz EVEN if it does not follow your normal content strategy
5. AUDIO QUALITY IS EVERYTHING
6. Instagram PAID ads in stories for episode promo is awesome!
PS - we are wanting to take our podcasf on RUclips, but still figuring out how best to migrate. Does anyone have any tips for successful podcasts on YT etc?

Love this. First couple of minutes are fire. Creators please realize that you are not at the mercy of ratings and won't get cancelled in a season. The gatekeepers are gone. To further that, you have no time restraints like TV, you can go as long as you can hold attention. So awesome!

Building a channel, podcast or show takes a lot of hard work and PATIENCE. its not gonna get big in one day. just keep doing it and be consistent

Great advice. I started a podcast this past February and have 75 consistent listeners. I have learned to start by serving your existing audience and add value to those people. At the end of the year, I will game plan to hopefully double the audience.

I love this!! So helpful. I started a podcast called "The Actors Lounge" where I interview actors about their journey! I just released my 80th episode. It really does take time and you've gotta build into this podcast journey. Give yourself time to grow and develop it!! Good luck all my fellow podcasters... just do it!!

Patience is the big play. First step is to start your podcast, make a plan for the year and then work that plan daily. Keep your blinders on when the crap in life happens. It will happen, especially when you start.
What kind of stuff has happened?
@@gduppodcast7229 For us personally we had a couple deaths in the family, recording tech issues and timing issues. Even though these things happened there is always something that will happen so we work to not get frustrated and move forward even if that movement is small.
Started our own podcast few months ago and have reached a few hundred engaged listeners pretty quickly across platforms. Getting a good producer early was super key in giving us seasoned audio quality. But definitely in patient hard-working mode hoping it pops at some point.
A podcast with two hosts said their show got a lot more interesting and fun to do the moment they starting drinking alcohol.
Definitely going to try it.

I'm a highschooler that wants to start a podcast with my buddies, probably talking about internet news, story, etc. I live in a poor country where its not viable to advertise my podcast on instagram/facebook. what are some other platforms that i can share my podcast on, or should i just try to grind the instagram algorithm?
Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter are all great platforms to advertise on in my opinion!
Started a podcast a while ago “In the Studio with Rubio” where I give comical commentary on the days headlines. Yes I agree... it’s a process and you have to think about the long run.

I started a podcast about very specific subject matter. I want to talk about other stuff, too. So, my question is, do I need to create a new account for the other podcast? I think I jumped right in and didn't quite understand this part of the whole thing. It's really hard to find specific information on podcasting. By specific, I mean basic stuff that I think veteran podcasters forget us newbies don't know.
A Fate So Twisted maybe to expand your different topics and talk differently on things will build up your character, id say just do it on your podcast you already have
@The Nick Keller Podcast I did a few episodes, then I just moved on to other things. My husband died in a car accident and my subject was dealing with the death of a spouse. I think it was too bleak for most people.

BUT ... build into it. It’s how I started. Under 100 episodes and still building! It is what it is. Instagram is my major audience and they come across to RUclips to see the video podcast. I’m not spreading myself thin but I do upload to soundcloud/apple podcasts also.
It’ll become what it will depending on how I ride this race and which way this race is charted (tech/culture). But I’ll continue in the race. LONG TERM VIEW. (London-UK).

I needed to hear this. I started a podcast when shelter in place started, called “Hella Mashado,” with an episode a week. I average 50 downloads per episode, but I haven’t see any growth the last three weeks. Frustrating.
