Yo buddy I've been driving truck for over 40 years are you kidding me in this day and age they're screaming for drivers they don't give a s*** what you know they just want a warm body wake up and smell the coffee

Really? Over 40 years. If that's the case then why would you say, "In this day and age" when the demand for drivers hasn't changed in over 30 years? This is nothing new.
However, I work directly with a number of large companies and they get a lot more applicants than they need. They turn down qualified drivers on a regular basis and choose the ones they feel have the best chance at succeeding.
If you have a CDL and a reasonably decent background someone will certainly give you a shot. But over 90% of the people who take a shot at trucking will be out of the industry before the end of one year. So the demand for drivers is high because very few people can handle the job.
Still, none of that has anything to do with whether or not you should stick with your first company for one full year, which in my opinion you definitely should, regardless of what company you work for. That was the point of the podcast.

If guys actually got PAID what they're worth for dealing with all the Bullshit they endure, more guys would probably stick around longer. The pay has been the same- for at least a couple of Decades! Yet the economy has SOARED in cost and the BS you have to deal with has grown, as well.
HAHA... the photo at 10:00 is the perfect statement for today's drivers- Chump Change is all you can expect anymore unless you are owner/operator and even then sometimes it's not much better.
