is there a way to automate nesting before the printing or RIP process? can the software create contour lines for irregular shapes? rather than just bounding box?
Hi lindsay, Thank you for your question! Currently there is not a way to automate nesting within Epson Edge Print, but nesting can be done manually. The software cannot create contour lines, that is something that must be done to the image ahead of time in a photo editing software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW. The software will still give a bounding box, but with a PNG or PDF file with a transparent background, for example, this will lay the bounding box much closer to the image itself.
Hello Michelle, color profiles are associated with the media type and the pass mode. Using the same pass mode and media should give similar results assuming that the printer has been maintained and the nozzles are clear.
Hello, I have an Epson F-9430 and then by new one Epson F-11030, two model printer we are using Epson Edge Print. When i have the same file printed on F-9430 and F-11030 the result is quite different, i know about that machine has different technology, different ink, different print head, etc. So in this video you explain about Output Color Setting - tone curve edit (12:24), i think that can make fine adjustment and apply to the new machine, so that the result is close to the old machine, but you explain not complete how to save and apply to job and effected. Thank you.
Hello, thank you for your comment. Edge Print does not give you the same color control as some other RIPS. Additionally, some of the calibration features in the 9400 are missing from the 11000.
Hey @Tiger, currently Epson does not have a cost estimator available for Edge Print just yet. We're hoping it comes in one of the updates soon. If you want to know the cost of your prints once they are completed, you can download the LFP Accounting Tool from Epson's website. You will just need to input the cost of your inks and media to get an accurate report.
Hi. I have a f6200 but thinking in buyin a f6370 soon. I'm watching this video to learn more about this software... Now, i have an question: in The Edge Print can I set the colors separetely for every ICC profile? For example, now i have an profile, i use it, but for some reason someday in the future i realize that it would be better if i elevate the quantitie of the yelow. Can i do it as I do now in Wasatch ou I have to make a total new ICC profile with espectrofotomenter... (?).
Hi Raphael, thank you for the question. If I'm understanding correctly, it sounds like you're going into the ICC profile itself within Wasatch and adjusting the Ink Density of the CMYK colors? If that is the case, you do not have the same control over the ICC profiles within Epson Edge Print. Instead, you are able to make adjustments to Named Colors (Pantone, Spot Colors, etc.) set within an image itself. For example, if you decide the yellow you printed needs to be made lighter, you can go into the Color Replacements, select the yellow color you're looking to change, and you can change the percentage of yellow for that particular color or change it to another color entirely. This is not a perfect process, however. We would recommend making any major image changes through a dedicated image editing software and importing the changed file into your RIP to ensure greater accuracy. I hope this answers your question!
I have an Epson SC-F501 printer (two fluorescent yellow and pink) which are the best settings in the Edge Print program. Black is not intense enough, gray goes green? Please advice what would be optimal. Thanks for the reply.
Hi Siviljstvo, the SC-f501 Printer has not been release to dealers / customers in the states as of right now. Without testing it, we wouldn't be able to give you a helpful response.
How do I add more than one design. I know how to do the same designs(like 6 of the same on the same printed sheet) but when I upload another picture, it replaces the other picture
Hi Robin, Thank you for your question! Like you said, you can add multiple images but they replace each other when you click between them because they are separate jobs by default. To combine multiple images into the same print job, you will need to select the jobs along the left side of the software (you can select multiple by holding down the shift or control key), and once highlighted, choose the "Nest" option at the top. This will combine all of your prints into one job, and you can still make edits to them each individually to lay them out where you like. Hope this helps!
Hi IT Supplies! I have an issue when I try to import a job that is over 5 meters long (like 7 meters) it will cut off the parts (2 meters). It seems that the output size has some sort of limit. How can I fix this? Also I'm using a Epson sc-f9400h.
Hello @annashari4525, thanks for your comment. Epson Edgeprint has a cost estimator built in for a number of printers. Go to the job info tab and click on the "confirm" button at the bottom. That will pop up an ink estimation tool.
Hi Dee, a couple of things could be happening. Can you try sending a different image to print to see if you just have a corrupt file? You can also try restarting your computer and the printer (I know that seems too easy but sometimes that works too) and unplug every thing (printer from outlet and computer and internet depending on how you are connected). How are you connected to the printer? Printer cable cord or network? If Printer cable cord - you may need to replace that cord. Try those things and if that doesn't work, call into our call center an speak with our technical support staff 1-847-394-9573.
@@ITSuppliesINC I tried your suggestions and it did not work. It goes to 90% in the print que and then it stops. I am not using a printer cord.. The number you indicated above is not in service.
Guys! I have a problem on the registration of my f570 printer… When I started the registration it doesn’t shows me my printer and looking throughs IP address did not work either… what can I do?
Hi @svjohnson5, you may be on a layer instead of the primary image file. Please make sure that you are on the master image and then the information will show up.
Hi dear my edge print is no going to register which is give a message to me that is say your edge print is using other computer which is not true plz help me
Hi there, thank you for your comment. It sounds like there is a reason or two this could be happening: this could just be a technical glitch in which case, you would need to call Epson Support (562) 276-1305. Or if you purchased the printer as a demo model or used, that seller may have the software registered to their computer still. In that case, you would need to contact the seller and ask them to unregister the unit from their computer so you can register it to yours. Hope this helps!
Hi @aa_dnr, any output profiles you are using in Edge Print for the EPSON F170 are RGB Profiles. You might be referring to the Tone Curve which cannot be changed to RGB. The technology is allowing you to adjust the use of the CMYK inks. In Color Replacement, you may also be referring to the Output Color that specifies CMYK. We're not sure why they give you a dropdown option because this printer must convert your images into the CMYK ink channels of the printer. If you need to change RGB values, you must do that in the file itself.
In the latest version of Edge, 4.0.0, and it doesn't look like you can run the tiles as individual jobs using the tools in Edge. If you want to run the tiles as separate jobs, you would need to create the tiles outside of Edge and import them each separately.

Any way to be able to store those jobs elsewhere instead of deleting them? Even with a lot of memory in computer it does that? Helps to keep track of how many jobs have been run.@@ITSuppliesINC
Wouldn't it be nice if Epson shipped the Edge RIP with the Epson F570? But nope, they don't. And get this, they will not even sell it to me, despite it being an F-Series printer that is supported.
