    I like this tutorial, except for the joining of the first initial chains. I probably rewatched that part half a dozen times at .25 speed because your fingers were covering it and I couldn’t tell for the life of me where in the stitch you were putting your crochet hook in

      Yeah had to go watch a separate video on how to do that first stitch in the second round, couldn’t actually see what she was explaining

    The pattern is really beautiful and it was fun to do. I found that working on the round add a lot of thickness to the tie and even after blocking the tie there is a little of natural twist that makes it look a little crooked. Knotting the tie is quite a difficult task due that thickness. I wonder if lighter yarn would make the deal. Worth the try.

    Hi, this is a really nice looking tie. I just wanted to let you know that I was looking at the tie pattern on your blog before looking at the video and your pattern said to repeat from * to * in several places but there were no stars added to the directions so I wasn't sure what to repeat. However, this video cleared things up. Thank you.

    How do you make this with a regular pointy bottom??

      You could fold the end of the tie inward to create a triangle shape before seaming it closed.

    Hi! Does anyone know what the length should be for the tie before you start decreasing? I’m using a different size yarn and there’s no measurement included 😭

    • @BrianaK
      @BrianaK  Год назад

      Hey there, I've included the average lengths for tie's in the pattern. But it can really depend who you are making it for because men are different heights. For the best fit, hold it up to the person you are crocheting for.

    I’m a bit confused about the split single crochet. Is that not just a normal single crochet? I’ll need to rewatch I couldn’t really see what you meant about the upside down V

    • @BrianaK
      @BrianaK  2 года назад +1

      The split single crochet is different because of where the hook is placed. Read more on this stitch here: brianakdesigns.com/split-stitch-mania/

    For Round 2 it says to repeat from * to *--however there is no *! Also for Round two the printed instructions say to start with the blo sc but in the video you start with the ssc. Which should we do? Its a little hard to get started because the yarn is a dark color and stitches are hard to see and the yarn is thin so its hard to hold on to, so clear instructions would be very helpful.

    Excuse me,how many yarn for this neck tie?

    • @MargaretDavis-k4q
      @MargaretDavis-k4q 4 месяца назад

      Look at the pattern on her blog and it tells you. I believe it is one hank of Hawthorne fingering for the short and medium length ties and 2 hanks for the longest version of the tie (for men over 6 feet 3 inches).

    I don’t have the yarn can I use any that I have

    • @MargaretDavis-k4q
      @MargaretDavis-k4q 4 месяца назад

      She uses a fingering weight yarn so that is what I suggest you use.

    I still dont see the "v" for the split single crochet. I can get the first few, but then I get stuck on the next stitch.

    Entschuldigung. Die erste Reihe mit split single crochet ...endet mit einem split single crochet oder im markierten chain mit einem back loop? Leider hast du die erste Reihe nicht geendet und ich bin verwirrt. Danke 😊
