Since then the park has expanded with various other rides, including Phoenix, a fantastic Vekoma Family Suspended Coaster. DJ Vourderis, the owner of the park and operator of Phoenix, is such a class act. His passion for the park and this industry is unmatched. I have had the pleasure of meeting him on multiple occasions at ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) events.
I agree. If you ever get a chance to sit down with him and discuss the park he is truly fantastic. He is a huge fan of enthusiasts in fact he took them into consideration when deciding on the Phoenix. The fact that you got 6 rides for one is something out of the kindness of his heart and his love for those who love the industry. I have met him several times but the first time I was just walking around the closed park while they were building the coaster and he invited me in and showed me around just because I was wearing an ACE shirt. Truly the best of the best.
He’s a great guy and it was fantastic to meet him!

The oldest dark ride was A Trip to the Moon which was a simulated walk through the moon based on the old movie of the same name. Located where modern Luna park is now. Unfortunately lost in the Coney Island fire of 1944. The area was turned into a parking lot and bought by zampearla creating the modern Luna park. The A trip to the moon was a complete loss and was replaced where the horse coaster is now. Such a shame.

I love your videos! You inspired my family 2 years ago! (Aka we randomly found your channel and me and my dad and my step mom liked it so we went to family park in Asutria, Gardaland etc...just the near ones beacause we live in Hungary.) I rode the Wonder Wheel back in the 80s!
Those family suspended coasters are great. Vekoma really hit a niche with those. Perfect transition between kiddie coasters and the adult thrill machines. The Cyclone used to be the coaster that all woodies were measured by. Still is a top woodie for me. Might have to lose a few pounds to ride it again, though. 🤣

That Phoenix Roller coaster is just like the roller coaster ride they have at Dreamworld in Patham Thani in Thailand....That was the very first suspended roller coaster I have ever been on...A nice ride I thought....Was nice to try something different...Now we are going to two parks here in the U.k that we have never been too...Thorpe Park and Alton Towers...Got sick of Oakwood park in Wales been there so many times now it's time for a change...And yes I will get out there and keep on Riding even at the age of 55 years old.

I guess many of those thoughts make sense going to the older seaside parks, like Blackpool Pleasure Beach, are almost what they are because of the historic rides-although newer rides like Icon (and Valhalla, it did get that upgrade so its good as new) also bringing modern thrills

One year I was in the 10 mile handicap racewalk and was able to get second place!!
I remember the parachute Jump, and long before my time there was Steeplechase and really long slide
where you sat on burlap bags, I think.

History of coney Island is amazing ken burns did a great documentary on it . At the turn of 20th century was its heyday . You had 3 parks dreamland , Luna park and steeplechase park . All are gone this Luna park is recent it became astroworld for a time before Luna park opened again .

We did Wonder Wheel this morning and loved it. Our reaction was like yours - nice gentle ride then suddenly WAYYYY! 😅 Luna Park was closed for a private event unfortunately

I went on Zeno’s Wonder Wheel last year, swinging seats of course. I was great. There aren’t many of these around. I think the only other one in the USA is in California. I got on 2 of the coasters, but didn’t go on Skyflyer. It was just too small. I got all credits at Luna Park.

"Ghostly Manor", an indoor attraction will be set to open in May 2025.
Plus, a new vikings themed project will be set in place for 2026. However, we're not to sure if it's a new ride, a new coaster or a new themed land.

Wonder Wheel is the only ride I’ve ever been on that truly scared the 💩 out of me.
