    First of all roleout switch is there for a reason. Carrier has history of secondary heat exchanger cracks . If that happens roleout switch goes of . The best way to check is to get it checked by co analyzer . If heat exchanger goes bad u will find crazy smell coming out if exaust pipe which can be detect outside. However if u r not a tech don't fix carrier furnace ur self for they have a bad history on heat secondary exchanger cracks. Don't kill ur self for few bucks

    Thanks for useful comments, I am not a tech this was just an experiment on my own to learn and troubleshoot I have fixed similar issue on a different furnace where I had to replace the switch board which was bad with no power. I only purchased the inducer as an safety net if rollout switch wasn't the cause of this problem in this video. This model has the rollout switch located on the right side across the flame burners.
    Take all safety measures when dealing with electrical and mechanical components. This video is only for learning and troubleshooting purpose. Thanks for watching!

    Best video of Bryant code 33 yet! Thank you. Quick question, is the reset button (rollout switch) right there, on the right side or is it inside by the burners?

    I changed the rollout switch like you did and it finally fixed the problem for about 1 day. the next day I had a code 33 and 13 again. Do you think it's the heat exchanger that is cracked?

    The question is why does the switch trip?

  • @coltbennett518

    If the rollout is going ur flame is lifting off of the heat exchanger, these Bryant, carrier, and Payne products are notorious for having plugged secondary exchangers mainly due to the fact that when installed a lot of them weren’t sloped 1/4” per foot towards the front of the furnace. What scares me is the rust on the bottom of the furnace which he neglected to mention, this will happen when your secondary gets plugged and leaks rust. I pray to god that he has CO detectors in this house or that he got a certified tech to check the exchanger / take a CO reading at the vent. If you have no idea what your doing to tell people online to replace a switch that is tripping which in fact it is something else that is causing that switch to trip. You can be killing people man. BTW I am a gas technician and I work on these products daily

    Why would the flame be rolling out, clogged vent?

    • @heshamos

      Clogged vent or more likely clogged exchanger!

    Would you kindly tell me the switch name? I have the exact same problem and there are lots of different names for that. HH18HA452 - Carrier OEM Furnace Limit Switch L250 by OEM Replm for Carrier. Is this the right part number? Thank you ahead!

    what was the problem? you bought several parts which one actually fixed it? it was the flame roll out switch?

      @srmay7587 5 лет назад

      I'm thinking it was the flame roll out switch.... same issue here and the high limit switch replaced worked fine for a day then code 33 to 13 again now going to replace roll out switch and see if problem persists... stay tuned will comment again soon 👍

      BTW code 33 has a laundry list of causes that can go wrong, including blower motor and capacitor, he chose to attack the cheaper parts and got it fixed on his own
