Thumbs up for calling out the lack of rear camera washer. True Canadian review

When I pay $170,000 (Canadian Dollars) for a truck, it better be able to those simple things. Hopefully the Model Y Juniper solves this issue 🤞

No, the Cybertruck does not have an advantage in braking on snow. It's braking is considered OK, but takes longer than a Ford Lightning, for example.

  • @ronhon100

The review on sharp braking on snow is amazing, wonder if it can get through for making right or left turn at 30 km/h?

Considering my Model 3 can turn that fast on snow, I don’t doubt the Cybertruck at all. But I didn’t want to try it with the $170,000 truck 😂

LOL... #1 of why he woudn't consider an EV truck from another brand... "Tesla's charging network". Must be living under a rock or did absolutely no research... You do know that other EV brands can use BOTH the Tesla charging network and the other networks giving them more chargers and options than that of the cybertruck. #3 You mention the cybertruck is profitable after only 30000 sales. Where did you see that? You then state that parts will be cheaper. LOL. You do know the lightning shares most of its parts with the ICE f150 (sales of close to a million per year) and is body on frame (meaning you can swap out body panels). Can't wait for you to learn reality when you ding your unibody (where the body is the frame) with stainless steel panels. That is going to be so cheap... But you really lost me at the accumulation of slush/grime/snow on the shelf below the headlights as if it's normal. Just stop on the side of the road in a storm. lol. I have never had to do that ever on any car. This whole video just screams fanboy and should not be considered seriously. There are way better choices for EV trucks in Canada for half the price and they don't look like a dumpster.

@@rayc.8555 Lol...Good reply. When you can't refute the facts, pivot to speculation and self reflecting insults. One day I hope to grow up like you and be a big tough internet guy protecting the brands that could care less about me.

    • @teslapeg

Tesla has access to both too and has figured out preconditioning in bad weather. I’ve seen my friend take 50 hours with his F150 where it took me 16 hours for the same trip in -30C weather. Like I said on my video, having infrastructure is not enough. Both need to work.
You might be right about the parts if it shares with the F-150.
Also, headlights get covered in a blizzard. Very normal for my city. You can stop and clean it, but most people keep driving in the dark. I’m guessing you’re the latter.
Cybertruck is profitable. Literally made headlines two weeks ago and stock shot up. All other trucks are selling at a loss. You think F-150 lightning is good and flying off the lot? Go to your local ford dealership and see how badly they want to give away that truck for next to nothing. It sucks and in cold weather we had 3 of them stop working in the highway. Haven’t seen one Tesla do that. Only non-Teslas in the side of the highway in cold weather. Tesla made it almost fool-proof.
Not a fanboy, I call it like I see it. I wish there was competition so that we could get better prices but anyone who buys a non-Tesla simply drank the wrong cool-aid. I’ve got so many people coming to me over the years who wanted to switch from non-Tesla EV and how it was the biggest mistake they made.
Only company that comes close to Tesla is BYD but you can’t get those here in North America without a big tax bill. You need to do better research brother. My advice to you is stick to a gas cars instead of buying a non-Tesla EV. You’ve been listening to the wrong neighbors bud

    • @darpompie4354
      @darpompie4354 Месяц назад +1

@@teslapeg You know nothing about me....I own a home building company in Edmonton. One of the most Northern major cities in Canada. I own a fleet of trucks from gas to diesel, to EV’s. I even looked at a cybertruck as a consideration. I always love the friend of friend experiences. We’ve had zero issues with our lightnings. If you store your vehicle in -30 without preconditioning, all EV’s are going to cut back on power and are going to be slow at charging until the battery warms up.
You clearly said you would not consider any other EV brand because others must rely on 3rd party infrastructure instead of Teslas (which you also falsely claim are the only ones that work in cold weather), All of this is not true. We charge up our lightnings at Tesla chargers all the time. Because you were called out on that lie, you now want to pivot and say that both the vehicle and infrastructure need to work together (implying that they don’t). We choose our Tesla charge point in our nav, the battery starts preconditioning on the way, we put the charger in and it starts charging at full speed. I don’t think you are aware of how other manufacturers EV’s even work and are making stuff up on how you think they are. There are thousands of Lightning review out there. No one has ever mention the things you are saying. But your friend of friend said so and now that you’ve owned a cybertruck for a month, you’ve become an expert on all EV trucks.
There is a difference between snow hitting your lights in a blizzard and either falling back to the ground due to gravity or having the snow blow upward over the hood. The CT has a cubby hole where the very slim lights are situated. The lid of the frunk overlaps over the lights preventing snow from blowing upward and a shelf below preventing the accumulation from falling. Clearly since you say you are unbiased, you understand the difference say compared to the lightnings headlights. Every other Cybertruck owner acknowledges this design flaw but not call it like it is you.
The only person that drank the cool aid is you…. As a business owner, we are brand agnostic and own all different kinds of brands. Even looked at the cybertruck starting at 137k CAN. We can buy two lightnings for the price of one CT. As a work truck the lightning has several advantages over the CT and we would have purchased those even if they were the same price. But you can’t possibly see how other EV’s also have advantages and may be the better choice for some.
Saying BYD is a competitor to cybertruck also clearly shows your lack of knowledge. The only thing that makes the BYD truck attractive is its price. Non EV people also like it because it has a range extender. In other words, it’s a cheap hybrid with very poor software and no proven winter reviews. You are tremendously insulting the cybertruck, if you think that’s what it competes with. If you want to see a review on the BYD truck, look at TFL. You want unbiased reviews from someone that owns a cybertruck, rivian and a lightning, check out Jerryrig’s channel. You want honest reviews of the battery and charging of all the trucks, there is stateofcharge or outofspec. You want to see infrastructure across canada, check out TruckedupEV. “Telling it like it is” as you call it, which goes against what every other reviewer mentions is what I call fanboyism. Maybe you should stick to talking about your Cybertruck and hold off talking about or comparing it to other EV trucks. From someone who’s driven all of them, and owned EV’s for over 10 years, there are way better choices out there including the lightning, Silverado EV and Sierra EV at half the price.

      - does take some time to get used to but not a big issue
      - literally reduces driver fatigue
      - very similar size to an F-150
      - too expensive yes, that I agree
      - issue with most trucks especially when you’re hauling something.
      - I agree Musk could have come up with something like Rivian and it would have sold like hotcakes. Oh well…

@@MarkLauzonTheStoneGuy I've driven one and agree with most of his points.
-There is absolutely no connection or feedback in the steering. When 4x4'ing this feedback is important.
-People who use work trucks in Canada wear heavy gloves. I am all for touch screens but important features need duplicate actual buttons and stocks.
      - The lightning has the option to use 1 pedal driving or not.
-I disagree with him on the size though... It's a truck, that's how big they are. Unless you are getting one to use NOT as a truck. In that case, he would be right.
-Crazy expensive, twice the price of competitors.
-You are relying on a camera that gets muddied up in minutes in Canada's winters as your only rear view (no that is not a problem with any other truck). The lightning even has a high bed camera if you are hauling (2 rear cameras and an actual rear view mirror you can see out of even with a tonneau cover closed.
-Mullosk made the brand outwardly political (doesn't matter which side you agree with, half the people won't like you. As a business, it's always best to keep private). Unfortunately, that image gets pushed down to its buyers. Jerryrig is selling his cybertruck mainly because his customers are viewing him as having those same morals which is causing him to lose business. He has a whole episode explaining the whole thing.
