I remember reading this character because I thought she was a variant of Deadpool with Gwen and because of the anime-style art, and then I was surprised that she was a more interesting and fun character than just a female copy of Wade. Although the only thing that bothered me was that they made her a mutant, not every new character needs to be one, but I understand that it was a way to not erase her.
I haven't watched this video yet. I always just thought gwenpool was just what if Gwen was deadpool

I'm pretty sure that she isn't a mutant she just said she was in gwenpool strikes back because it was a way for her to exist and she basically retconned herself even though SHE knows it's not true and us the readers I think are supposed to be left up to our own theories. I personally don't think she's a mutant but I'm glad she got to go to krakoa cause I ❤ gwenpool ngl

I remember Gwenpool, she got me back into looking at American comics, where I read the Ms. Marvel and The Unstoppable Wasp. Gurihiru's art was my favorite for the character. Although Gwen didn't last long, the stories she told was great. Batroc was a great mentor character for her, it's great to see old characters be used and redefined. Gwenpool came out around the time the Isekai anime was the popular genre. Where how they had her constantly breaking the 4th wall was done in such a unique way. So mark me surprised when I saw her doing a team up with the West Coast Avengers. Which had it's own issues, but was alright. Then they finally gave her a new run where they changed her origin story which is fine, but being a Mutant is like getting lost in the crowd of X-Men, which they did again for Ms. Marvel, when she was revived. Although the only thing Gwenpool related still going is her pet shark Jeff.
Marvel took a risk on something new and it seems like they don't know what to do with Gwen anymore. And it's a crying shame as she was one of their best new characters.

Thanks to this video Gwenpool is one of my favorite comic books and comic book character. It’s a shame he’s gone.
I think Gwenpool may be difficult to continually write for her series after series. Her powers make her aware that eventually the series will end which means she will end and that ends up being the story. We will always have her go between panels and interact with them. Because she is not actually from Earth-616 she doesn't believe in anything that is happening is real so the plot circles back around to her trying to prevent her innevitable series end.
But then you could just have her say goodbye to one writer and say that she is looking forward to her next story. Because eventually she would understand that she would get another story. So i don't think it would be rhst big of a problem.
@@AndrewBrown-yf3hk Self-aware comic book characters would not be confident they will get another series because so many characters don't. That uncertainty is what drives her plot to prevent the current run from ending. Even if she is witten how you said, it'll be a similiar story but written by a different writer.
